  12. I would think that small, light, shallow boats - closer to baskets than hollowed trees - could potentially be used in winter as a type of sled, sledge, or sleigh, with or without runners. You could load it and then pull it with a rope. It could be used in marshy areas as well, and towed across grass or any level ground. Hunters could carry their kill in it, or gather firewood, carry supplies from place to place, etc.

Now this is something I'd 'actually' expect to happen from like Viking tribe, because most of what people are viewing is complete BS, hollywood fake crap from hair braided actors in a air conditioned place, showing them doing things they never had any historical reference in doing like as if they say 'shield wall' and create a shield wall.

  25. It makes me kinda sad to realize we don't really do anything just for aesthetics anymore. Everything is just drab and "functional". The USA has the biggest military budget in the world - would it kill them to add a little pizzazz? An aircraft carrier already billions of dollars, what's a couple more to give it some aesthetic value?
