I was just thinking that we've not seen you for a good while and popped over your channel to ask if you'd be back on soon only to find you have a new video just released ! Nice to see you back on the screen again , enjoyed this one. Thank you for sharing it with us.

It never ceases to amaze me how innovative our ancestors were to come up with stuff like this.

Respect for your use of the resources around you. Yes, you could have made a more elaborate fire system, but this is clearly a pinch scenario and you performed near perfectly with the sun's time constraint and the dry cold. Great job on the hardtack thinness! With Castro's jab and social credit system goals, I'm preparing to head to Northern AB to live out the remainder of my years. God Bless.
37
as a First Nation, its really cool to see you share our bannock bread!!! I love your videos man!
37
Your videos are perfect in my book. No endless chatter or music! The multiple viewpoints with the camera are really great. Your cooking skills are noteworthy for everyone to enjoy! Thanks for sharing your outdoor skills. Truly fun to watch.
37
never wouldve imagined that dental floss would be used in clothing, your creativity is truly impressive~!

Many of us have grown up imagining our little cabin in the woods. Some of us made them as kids. For me it was a prairie dugout, which served me well until I left for college and it fell in. You’re making yours now, and sharing it with all of us. Build it. Let it bring you joy. Because it should. Be well, and take good care, as always, from here in the Allegheny National Forest, in Northwest Pennsylvania.

Listening to the sound of nature is so relaxing. great vid man
37
Much as I enjoyed your 'Life of Woodsman' video series with that great tent and woodstove. Your Bedroll limited gear camping trips are my favourite. Glad you are getting such mild weather for Alberta at this time of the year, but as you said. Spring is still a long way off, stay safe and warm and looking forward to your next adventure!
37
Excellent job and congrats to your wife for the expert sewing. A real hand made piece of gear to be proud of. Now just waiting to see it in action.. Take care.
37
I love how there is no audio commentary! Just a few subtitles. I really enjoy these videos! Keep them coming!

Caught your beard on fire didn't ya ?

Brother Kusk👍👍 Your approach to and easiness of enjoying the wild is much appreciated, few wilderness content creators show their true ability to live simply for the experience as you do. You have proven time and again "the more you know the less you need" scenario. There's too many creators out there that carry every new gadget, gizmo and gear, too complicated, which makes watching you that much more pleasurable. Breakfast sweet bread looked amazing, trying it out today unfortunately no campfire but thanks for the recipe. Good fire, good food, good time, thanks for the work. Stay safe and vigilant, see ya soon.
36
I will definitely be trying this my next time to the woods. Super idea!! Well done thanks
36
Amazing. I can't wait to do exactly this. Especially now that it's getting cool! Best bushcraft channel on YouTube. Thanks for making no talkies!!

Did I just find my new favorite bush craft channel?
35
That breakfast looks hella good.
35
I’ll be getting back into the woods once I return to Canada at the end of October ; hearing that yipping and howling at the end of the video makes me heavily reconsider... 🤔 Another great video, as always!
35
Can't wait for part 4. Absolutely love watching these. They're quite calming. Hope you continue making more similar videos after part 4. ❤️😋
35
Man I wish I was out in the forest... It's the only place I feel happy.
34
Anyone else ready to ditch america and all the bs government and move to 🇨🇦??? This guy is wayyyyy ahead of the game. Apocalypse happens im calling this cat
34
Beard's looking mighty as always
33
I can't believe I finally saw a video where somebody just burns the trees in half instead of wasting all the calories bucking them up. I've been doing that for 40 years. Great video, great channel. And, may God bless you as well.
33
That's beautiful Ryley!! LOVE IT!! You are so talented!! 😘
33
Hello my friend🖐🏻😏 This video is great😃👍🏻 It's not recommended to hungry people😁 Wonderful atmosphere..awesome place..nice bushcraft camping🌲🔥 Atb✊🏻😉 ⋮П↑⟨⋮

This is crazy.... I was literally looking for “pot hanging” techniques... well done. 😁
33
Wow! big respect and a great video! Almost -5 degrees were enough for me on my last tour ... 😳 but you seem used to the cold 😉
33
Food have special taste when you eat in nature :) Cheers my friend
33
I've known your channel for over a year. Came from the log home in the Canadian wilderness videos. Glad you're still making content!
33
You have mastered bush crafting to the point of it's absolute simplicity. There is genius in simplicity! As a Canadian resident of 61 yrs I have to say, this is the strangest winter I've ever lived through. Your skills might be essential earlier than we might all think. Great video, thank you!
32
Your videos are a joy to watch. Your methods are simple and pure. Not a moment or effort wasted. Resources and management of them are minimal and effective. Your demeanor is calm, focused and purposeful. And, you challenge yourself and include all of us in the best ways. Cheers!
32
Really like that pipe - love that real thick bacon and eggs fried in the bacon grease (doctors cringing!!!). Looked like a great trip.
32
This video was great. Very informative about being prepared for emergency situations. I have to admit the best part was “ Giving glory to God always. “ I didn’t expect to hear that. I’m not saying you don’t say it but at that moment I needed to hear that. There was that immediate connection felt. Like a hug. When going through tough times it’s like angels tapping your shoulder to let you know you aren’t alone. Thank you Kusk. 🙏🤗
32
Recently bought one of these expensive wool anoraks, and wouldn't you know it the first time I had a campfire I burnt a quarter sized hole in it somehow. Hundreds of fires wearing cheapo walmart sweaters without a single hole, and when I finally buy something good I burn a hole in it first go. So anyway thank you for this I finally know how to patch it!
32
Glad to see you active Mr Kusk. Keep up the fantastic work!
32
To set your wax in clothes the by far easiest way is to apply the wax to the entire garment and place in a black garbage bag and place in the sun for a hour. Repeat the process for how many layers of wax you want. I’ve worn waxed clothes for thirty years and it works every time which is way easier that heating small sections like this.
32
This is the sort of thing most of us like to watch. Proper bushcraft survival. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures. ✌️from Australia.
32
Love the video and will definitely give it a try. The only thing I’ll do differently, is cut the base from a larger diameter tree so the logs have more room to move around. Thank you!
31
Great. I was thinking that as animals, we humans have an Achilles heel in our emotions. If we can reduce anxiety we can think clearly, calmly, and rationally. Your simple, effective methods and practices do more than what appears on the surface. They bring confidence and reduce anxiety in what would be a life and death situation for most of us.
31
Wow Ryley, I am so proud of you. I remember back in December/January you had 700 subscribers and now over 60k. You are doing a great job out there with only iPhone 6 🙂✌
31
At 62 my idea of roughing it is only a four star hotel. You’re very skilled and knowledgeable, enjoy it while you can. Old age comes on you REAL quick. Stay safe.
31
I hate the fact I can watch this with no words and only have an inner monolog with myself.
31
Absolutely amazing, greetings from Ukraine
30
This could qualify as asmr, the audio quality is spectacular!
30
I watch a lot of youtube brushcrafters, they all go nuts after a couple days outside. I get the feeling your the kind of person who can last in the wilderness for a long time hahaha. Love the vids!
30
Some of the most impressive back country cooking I've seen. Wow!
30
Sounds like it is going to be an excellent and informative series sir! Given how much I enjoyed your Tarp Camp series, really looking forward to this one! Hope you enjoyed your time off, and glad to see you uploading again.
30
This is a very nice setup and a very nice smoke from the fire and the Pipe. It is very calming looking at you enjoying yourself during harsh conditions.
