For such a positive guy like you there is rarely anything in this world that can bring you down

You’re like the Bob Ross of bushcraft 👍🏻 Thanks for posting!

Outstanding adventure, beautiful location. Sure wish we had that snow.
29
Hey man, just got back from camping alone. I was afraid back then to camp and go to the woods alone but with what you said about or rather replied in my comment last year that the woods is the safest place i tried it and it feels good thanks man.
29
Cool spot and great gift from your bro, gotta trademark that bushman pancake! Looked so dang good brother👍🏼🍺
29
Been so curious about those iconic pants for so long now. The Colorado bush definitely will be easier to perform some bushcraft with these. Thank you for the amazing videos you do!
29
Great outdoor bush skills!!! Very impressed. I really enjoyed your presentation with the use of titles and no talking. Really good job!!!!
29
This is my idea of a perfect wild camping video. More like this, please. Very well done.
29
Really awesome movie!! Gratz from Russia!! Kusk dont stop doing this stuff 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
29
Great trip, Kusk. Once you got that first fire going, it's game-on! I enjoy your practical, non-commercialized approach, and appreciate your resourcefulness. Thanks for sharing another great video!
29
I'll be sticking with you here Kusk! Stay Wild!

My knives have round spines for the reason you’ve shown and strangely enough after decades in the outdoors I’ve never had to baton a knife through a chunk of wood. A small hatchet is my choice for that task.🤷🏻♂️
28
Really love you way of filming - The construction looks really solid!! Lots of snow you have there. Here in my part of sweden the sun is shining! So my outdoor life is full of sun now - Thank you so much for sharing - it was a pleasure to watch!
28
This seriously needs to have much more views. This is the best outdoor cooking video on youtube
28
For a sec i thought you were gonna shoot that oil.
28
Lol you’re a better cook out in the elements with bare essentials than I am in my own at home kitchen with everything I need! Good stuff man!! Keep up the vids and all the cooking you do!!! Definitely mouth watering !
28
More please brother

New sub here. I simply cannot fault your videos. They are educational, entertaining, relaxing and fun to watch. 😊
27
Bushcraft skills at it's finest. Some of these large bushcraft channels need to take notice. Excellent video once again my friend. Thanks and God bless.
27
Awesome job on this meal! One tip i might add for you to try: keep the grouse legs, heart, gizzard, and liver. Gizzard is pretty easy to clean on them, and a fair addition of meat. All you have to do with the liver is find and remove the small green bile sac.
27
Man that bannock and jam closeup had me salivating! Excellent video as always!
27
You are one of the most talented Bushcrafters on YouTube man. Your woodworking and ideas are truly amazing. From one carpenter to another. Cheers.
27
Great video and sharing your knowledge and experience. Appreciate seeing such grit and toughness in a world that has become so soft and “comfortable”
27
Picture quality is actually amazing
27
Oh man. I stopped everything I was doing when I saw episode 2 had come out. Had to get comfy and enjoy it to the fullest. Great build, great series! 🤙🏻
27
A guy could lay out the cash and buy a fancy pack, but that wouldn't be the Kusk way. Instead you created a museum piece with very few tools, and serious skill. This pack is bound to be more functional and meaningful. A work of art!
26
Man, so glad to see you making content again. Always excellent and inspiring. Keep up the great work!
26
Enjoy living vicariously through your adventures. Thank you!
26
Your videos are an absolute joy to watch. The sights, the sounds, even the smells which can easily be imagined. I smile beaming ear to ear as you revel in your tasks, and enjoy the simple things in life. I appreciate you taking us along for the most wonderful and valued experience. Cheers!
26
like going back in a time machine Kusk...reminds me of when I 1st started watching your channel. No better place to begin again, basic, honest bushcraft. don't see many feather sticks anymore, and the shelter was top notch, looked right cozy.. Not the typical gourmet bush dinner you usually prepare, but damn it looked good. Kusk I think I watched you make that cup...great video very nostalgic ...peace will we see that signature red beard in future
26
It's good to see you again. My hiking buddy and I are going on our first bushcraft style trip soon. I've always liked your videos and can't wait to try some of your tricks
26
My children and I just found your channel today, and we watched each one of your videos! Thank you so much for sharing them with the Bushcraft community. Very well done! Btw, what is your preferred pipe tobacco? Have you ever tried Squadron Leader? Anyway, all the best!
26
Your dedication is phenominal, dude. Even down to the hand held tools. Much respect from Wales.
26
Amazing how easily you make everything simple and efficient
26
Excellent craftsmanship, sir. Well done.
26
My guy made nuggets and fries in the woods
26
Thanks for your great videos in the wilderness. Simple made but VERY interesting. Very few people have such good skills! :)
25
Glad to see you back!! ❤️ despite the cold, you made it seem so quiet and peacefull! Nothing but greatness and blessings to you my friend!! Love from Alberta, Canada!
25
Admit it, you drooled a little when he dipped the bacon into the egg...
25
I found your video to be so relaxing ! It’s nice to slow down and appreciate nature and your definite skills!! Stay safe! 😊
25
I love the line, "Better to be looking at it rather than looking for it"! My grandmother used to say, "Better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it". Way to stay prepared!
25
Canadians are killing it with the bushcraft channels lately. Joe, Justin Barbour, Nomadic Woodsman, and now Ryley Kusk! Love it! 🇨🇦
25
awesome video! you’re the reason i got out and made my first shelter with heated floors on my channel!
25
Totally agree. I'll usually round off the first 2" of spine to save a sore thumb when carving or doing fine work.
25
Well done so many bushcrafters do not realize the importance of getting a good heat supply first before setting up camp.Fire first and shelter second.I really like your long fire method.
25
Fastest I've ever clicked a new video notification 😅
25
Nice overnight. Food looked great. Like the tongs too.
25
i dont have any knives that originally came with a square spine, but i usually grind a square spine towards the tip of the blade, about an inch, which works fine for me for striking and scraping. best of both worlds!
25
If you use dental flass or similar thickness thread, I would double the thread as it will have much less of a tendency to create a tearout. The best to use is 100% cotton thread doubled up, at least, and hand wax coated by drawing it through the same wax you use for the pants. If you want to make extra, sure, there is little to no tearout. After doing the whip stitch, go back through the holes in a zigzag. This can be a little overkill for some and time-consuming, but it will make them last much longer with little to no tearout.
25
Great video, thank you for posting. Where I grew up, we call this quaking aspen. This time of year, we used to harvest a delicious mushroom (we called them oyster), which would grow on dead quaking aspen trunks....some rather high up and were a challenge to obtain!
