  6. In Goethe's Faust, Mehistopheles sets up a 2 layered bet. The "meta game" is the initial bet, with god, that he will successfully corrupt Faust. The nested game is the bet he makes with Faust, that he can make him feel true fulfillment. The thing is that Mephisto actually wins the nested bet, but not the larger one, the meta game, thus he doesn't succeed in securing Faust's soul. Nice video!

  9. Lots of comments here are missing the good Doctor's points in that we all know about the West's anti male marriage laws but that's not relevant here. He is talking about relationships, getting into them and how you should relate to women. Getting into a relationship on the right basis is a pre requisite to finding a suitable woman for a sound marriage, it's not a guarantee but it's the best we can do.

  27. Yeah, people enter relationships for experiences. The desired experience can vary wildly, but if you want to cultivate attraction and love and all those great things, then it pays to think about what kind of experience you are providing for your partner. I think that men are looking for an experience from women just as much as vice versa, but the flavor of the desired experience tends to be a bit different for men vs women. As a man, one of the most challenging lessons I've learned is that when you focus on impressing a woman, you will usually bore her to death and kill attraction, but when you focus on creating an experience for her, she will eat out of the palm of your hand.
