  24. Dude I watched your video with an open mind because I’ve never heard this perspective before. I appreciate you delineating the action versus action faking but... I don’t think the self-help industry should be villainized for two reasons - life is a process and you said it perfectly “it’s ok not being ok” and struggle is a part of the process. You can argue that the tactics of some of these gurus are questionable but they aren’t holding a gun to anyone’s head forcing you to sign up! That’s like you blaming McDonalds for making it easy and cheap for you to eat the tastiest but most unhealthy meals ever. At what point do you acknowledge each person’s individual process and their responsibility to their own life?Procrastination is the name of the game. Some people just take longer to start on their path and them spending thousands of dollars is part of their process. Money comes and goes man. It’s the journey that counts. I could probably argue that the self-help culture is necessary to help people break out of their daily routine! You yourself said that you benefited greatly from self-help by feeling fantastic about things and you also said that after going through that process you were awakened that you needed to start taking action, step back, and figure out your own way. But I wonder, would you have ever arrived at this realization so quickly without going down the self-help rabbit hole? People are stronger and smarter than you think and every thing isn’t as it seems. Let people go through their process because sometimes sheltering people from painful experiences actually hurts them more than allowing them to go through them and figure out life for themselves because MANY of life’s best lessons come from pain! Good luck brother and I wish you all the best on your journey. PS Gary Vee is a great guy, I really think you should read more into him as a person. He’s one of a kind man.
