Very interesting to watch, BUT I wish we could see more, such as where is this roller going to be used etc.

What a superb demonstration of what can be accomplished with a couple of metal L-squares, a couple of oxy torches and a lot of sweat from a group of men wearing flip-flops and without anything besides occasional makeshift eye protection. The finished product is impressive and a special kudos to the man painting the signage on the machine freehand. A-1 job!

Insanely good! I've never seen anything like this before.

Excellent, he has every reason to be proud of his factory and skill.

Head was swapped around the 25 minute mark. The head at the end of the video was different with no grinding on the port side. Nice try slick!

I'm not a engineer but I would not trust a gear that has been welded Im sure the steel is not the same after welding it's very dangerous

Lol, the way you guys squat hurts my knees lol but y'all are amazing to watch. Hello from Texas🇺🇸👍

10
Imagine doing this on a street in London, Paris or New York etc.

Wonderfull, these guys know their stuff. Also amazing is that the presses are also locally made. Vintage car enthusiasts looking for those hard to find panels should talk to these guys, they can make anything. So, Hino Japan would supply crated engines, gearboxes and differential axles and the rest would be built in Pakistan. Zindabad!

Amazing how so much time is spent in parts handling. Throwing stuff on the floor, then scrabbling around for the next process.

I like the purpose-built dual hydraulic press. Great re-use of former excavator cylinder. Also admire the lathe fixture used to mount the castings for line boring. I wonder how many finished units this shop produces in a month? Great video.

Wear indicators? What wear indicators?
9
9
It's nice work, but it looks a little flimsy for something that will be worked hard in a field.
9
Great work 👍
9

The guy with the cutting torch, if he would fix the leak on the tip, he could have cut the frame in half the time. But you got to love the recycling these guys can do.
9
That’s pretty amazing. You don’t see people in the west fuse welding with an oxy anymore, that takes a huge amount of skill. There always seems to be someone just hanging around in these workshops but then there’s always someone willing to jump in and help when needed. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺

Pretty damn impressive, they built that thing in under 2 hours! 😳
9
Great content bro you are discovering talented people who are doing great with less resources

That bumper is more a front decoration than any thing else ..It won't stop any bumps

So that's where the dent in my tank came from. The guy that made it, threw it on the ground, 5 seconds later.

I watch these videos and see the exact same principles being applied as in videos from the US. The only difference is that these guys are more visibly working class, do more labor intensive handcrafted work and just get on with the job, while in the US videos parts are more modular, their surrounding look much less desperate and there are a few more fancy toys. As for quality control, I suspect that there is enough of that: if parts fail do you think that truck drivers will happily accept the risk to life and limb and downtime that cost them money? Do you think a Pakistani fabricator is incapable of figuring out that, "We got a couple of fails this quarter. We need to put some extra reinforcement .... right here". An American machinist I was watching on video commented that he was using a "Pakistani style" runout gauge, then immediately caught himself and said that actually that's what his father used and he still uses it for quick determinations, while using the dial for finer reckonings. Same in Pakistan. Me, I'm equally fascinated with how they do it in Pakistan. It's as if the specs are all in their heads and the materials an extension of their bodies. But yes, there are generally more industrial accidents in Pakistan and India. Respect tho'.

What is the lung cancer rate of breathing that dust?

Good job……very good craftsmanship.

As always, an incredible job.

Welding steel to cast iron is a very tricky task. This is going on a crane??!! Most crane or heavy equipment accidents happen out east!!
8
100% canserojen dust
8
Just done for views not function. Noticed that no one ever shows these installed and running
8
You got to hand it to those guys, they don’t waste anything! Most all of the material looks like it was salvaged. Over here in the USA everything would have been new material and the cost would quadruple. I have always been know as a scrounger/Hoarder and have made some really useful and even elegant devices/machines using mostly salvaged materials. Using that kind of material requires lots of “Fluidity “ in the design. Hahahahaha! Good job guys!!!!
8
Why weren’t the taper roller bearings packed with grease during assembly 🤔good video 🇬🇧

I'm waiting for the video called: "How expert mechanist cleans his shop with a brush".

I have watched so many of these style videos and I love them. Bless this man for actually using a dial indicator to get everyting straight and true!
