Hello, thank you for your video. It is a brave thing to do. I am French and came here as an an pair in 1989. I ended up staying, got married to a Dutch. Up until 2012, the UK wasn't a bad place to live. I used to work in London, hated it. The town is dirty, it is full of people, yet you don't meet anyone. I decided to live outside London (Raynes Park) and commuted to London. It was cheaper and greener. I bought my house in 2013 near Gatwick because the monthly mortgage fee was cheaper than rent. By divine help and luck I got my place but I had to put down 22k deposit. It is a lot of money and my house was modest. Because of climate change, the UK summer s will become Rainer and you will not need summer clothes. Life is harder now than it was 10 years ago. It is not a given that you will keep your job. In fact I am looking for another job because my company wants to relocate to London and the 3 hrs commute is a killer. With age I have become much less materialistic and only buy what I need. I don't watch tv anymore. All the chaos you see, you cannot control so why would you expose yourself to fear. Whatever government you get will bat for the rich so I switch off. I decide to create my life in my bubble. I thought many times of returning to France, better weather, better food but not better people or government. I watch spiritual podcasts. I trust in the divine to lead my path without any expectation of the result. Detachment is key to your happiness within. I feel for you, really do. In the future, owning a trade like being a builder, carpenter, plumber will become gold dust. We are going to lose our jobs to AI in the next 15 years. However, there is light ahead of us, the crap that you see is awakening people. We can only win if we build communities independent from government. Grow our food, make our own clothes, stop buying on Amazon and supermarkets. We are on a 50 year reset. I started totally by accident watching near death experience podcast. It has changed my life. Now I know what I am here for. Remember you are the creator of your life, your power is within. Once you drop the fear, you can achieve your health, your abundance, the reality of what you want to see. Kids do this all the time. Believe in the unbelievable. Sending you lots of love.

I grew up in a large northern city in the late 80s / 90s. Semi detached house, nice, quiet area. Above all, a safe place to grow up. The city itself has a reputation for crime, poverty, deprivation etc.
My parents still live there. I can obviously see the decline now, which has spread to my old area.
Not violence as such (but its getting closer), but a lot of low-level crime, drugs etc. But one thing is the change of mentality - many houses have illegally built extensions, people who work but claim benfits/pay no tax, cars with no insurance/drivers who legally shouldn't be driving etc.
There's more tolerance today than when I grew up. More people 'minding their business'. Also a realisation that crime does pay.

Sorry to say but that's some cope right there. I've had the privilege of living in Northern Sweden between 2012-2022, and I can honestly say it's an entirely different and much more peaceful world there, even now.
Sure, there are issues in Sweden also similar to UK (high crime, drugs, high benefit intake, gangs, unaffordable housing etc) but this is literally reserved to Southern cities in Sweden, specifically cities like Stockholm (to a lesser extent), Malmö and Gothenburg especially - basically cities where large groups of migrants have been dumped without a plan to integrate them, which has ended up with parallel societies which are simply incompatible with the host nation.
I kid you not, for the most part in Northern Sweden, these problems simply don't exist anywhere near on the same scale as in the South to the point where I never saw any news or crime in the general Northern area.

In UK you earn just enough to be alive and be able to work, that`s it, and it's by design anyway, nothing special, same situation in every country.
Also, this situation is valid only for low skilled people, because if you`re degree skilled in some form or another, that would've been a different store and I`m talking about jobs like mechanics, engineers, medics, IT....etc, I`m pretty sure those people have less to complain about.
So yeah, no gain, no pain.
