  1. Beautiful. Her husband must be a master carpenter to be able to build shoji screen window inserts, scribe wood to fit the van contours perfectly, select gorgeous trim of what looks like cherry. This build is akin to having a very high end house or piece of furniture, I love that it is in such a humble vehicle.

  2. Oh yes! I went to a Water Aerobics class and started speaking to one of the ladies. She immediately asked was I a member of the 53 Club? I asked her what was that, and she asked me when was I born. I told her, and she said, you might want to speak to her, pointing to someone near me, she's your age! I was Really shocked! Come to find out, she wants to be uppity and I had overheard her say she didn't have a place to stay, her boyfriend had put her out! I actually was going to see what resources she had researched! As a Retired RN, I speak to all people, always have. You Never know who will be able to help you one day... And my belief, NO ONE is any better than Anyone else!

  5. Senior here and disabled. I still work with no plans to retire. I was financially set to retire but I helped a child with lifesaving medical care. Parents had insurance but it had crappy coverage and they had no money. I don't regret helping but now here I am working. Life isn't always fair but we should always just do the best we can as a decent person

  7. This is my situation too. I've been a full time "houseless" nomad living in my tiny vintage trailer with no home base since 2019. I'm on disability and sometimes I go busking for extra money. People tell me I'm "living the dream" all the time because my rig looks so cool, and I make it look like I'm a nomad by choice, but I'm not and peoole have no idea what a struggle it is to just survive day to day. Lots of us older single women out here on the road...

  9. The most basic solution at a pinch….drive at night, park in a retail lot during the day to rest. I like to believe in the goodness of my fellow man and my ability to smile with people. We are better than we think!

She does her own nails with polish she got on sale from WalMart or was given. Do your homework before.making such uninformed comments. If you had simply checked out Lindy's channel she has addressed ignorant assumptions about her nails before.

  20. I'm 68 yrs old. Live solo. In a nice size home. And can afford to live there comfortably on my above average SS. I would gladly share my home with other seniors if they knew how to RESPECT other people and property. Some children doesn't even let a parent live with them because they dont understand Grace. People have to change their thinking on what's needed to survive these times. Humble yourselves. We don't want to drag ourselves to the grave.

  22. Love this lady's spirit. I'll be 80 in May and my family is so afraid I'll get lost, get sick or hurt myself. I traveled for 3 yrs in a class A. Sold it in November because it was so much work. I'm looking at a Ram van because I'm just not ready to stop. What argument can I use to set them at ease. This time around I'm going to be sure to make some meet-ups. You all are great.

  25. I am 72 and have been at this since 2010 . My husband was my travel mate And he died Jan 7 2021. Its took me this long to get the Rv ready for the road due to my grief. Our son is with me and new adventures are about to happen. Happy traveling.

  26. I hope and pray that the city of Ocean Side can help find a parking solution for Kat. Maybe a business owner can offer a spot, I would imagine her presence in a business property would provide an aspect of security. Maybe it could be a mutual relationship where they allow Kat to park there, and in return she’s there to observe and report. That doesn’t mean she has to walk around or confront someone unauthorized, but if she sees or hears something she can call 9-1-1 or the owner/manager of the business.

  32. I worked my butt off saved saved saved. Got cancer at 53 that crippled me. I cashed in my 401 k. Used up my savings. I was so sick o thought I was going to die. I found got disability. I struggle every day. I'm not living in my van yet however in March my rent is going up again. It's increased every year $100 I'm not going to renew my lease. I'm already living on $50 a month after all my bills are paid. I go to food banks if I have to line up it could take hours and uses my gas up. People who don't get it keep on living your time hasn't come yet baby

  34. Greetings from Australia. I retired 2 years ago and decided that rather than pay over half my pension on rent, I would buy a van and travel. I have now been on the road for a year. I started off doing house and pet sits along the way of my travels. This has worked out well for me. I haven't managed to save due to a major repair on my van but am now saving a small amount and do have an emergency fund. I do appreciate my pension and am grateful that I don't have any major debts. There are hundreds of older women out there on the road and it seems to becoming a new way of life for many. Love your channel and interested to hear the next video.

  40. Great advice for anyone 😆. I’m only camping in my old van but it makes me happy. I don’t mind that it’s old and not perfect. It brings me joy making curtains and going to thrift stores for my van. My grandchildren love my van too. Their gifts to me are always something for my van. Your video is a good reminder for all of us to just be ourselves because that’s how God made us. 😆

  43. When anyone is choosing a rig, choose one that has access to the driver' seat without having to go outside. Also, before taking an exit, or making a turn into your sleeping spot for the night, look at any cars behind you in traffic. Then drive past your intended turn, and turn around. You should then be able to verify if someone is following your vehicle. Worth the extra time.

And then they couldn't -- or wouldn't -- explain the difference in the charge between you and that other couple who were staying just as long as you were. NO WAY!! Shame on Marriott!! I hate to say it but, yes, I believe that young hotel clerk was profiling you. I wonder if someone from corporate will reach out to you whether to explain or to apologize. They should!

  45. The only way adult kids are getting away with this is because the parents are allowing them to. For some reason they just don’t see how they’re contributing to the problem. Parents need to raise their kids to be responsible adults, not raise them to be perpetual children their whole lives. The responsibility lies solely on the parents.

  49. I own land in NY, it is in a small town near where the original 1969 Woodstock location was. I am a 55 year old women with nerve damage but I managed to build sheds out of pallets that I got for free.
