Though he remains hidden in the background, I’m sure he contributes a lot of support to the wonderful vlogs you produce. I am so grateful that you share your lifestyle. I’ll never be able to do what you do ( we filled in most of our canals in the US). But how wonderful to cruise along with you via YouTube.

  9. An artist’s eye - some of the places you filmed, if made into pictures, would be art in itself. You see/notice things that others might dismiss but to you are beautiful sometimes even wonderous.   12. Between the video and sound, you did a really good job of capturing the feel of being in that storm. When we heard those big whumps, that sounded like someone had kicked the boat, were those wind gusts? It never ceases to amaze me at Zeph's ability to find balls! lol You have an uncanny ability to find birds, bugs and flowers, while Zeph has the uncanny ability to find balls where you would never guess there would be one. Sherlock and Watson would be proud of you two I think. 🙂 Your videos are always good, but this one was especially entertaining!

A lovely old lady used to run the shop in the roundhouse, but only a few years back I stepped into the garden to put some food onto the bird table (where in summer they don't mind you sitting with your ice cream purchased at the shop) and a woman opened a window up in the roundhouse and told me to get off her property, can't help some can you.

Such a good mix of the history where you are, the beauty of the canals as well as the dangers and the nature. There isn't another narrowboat channel that covers the nature the way you do.   34. Do you ever say to yourself “0h no, not another bloody lock”! I think I would. They must really interrupt your flow. My central heating had to be updated this week and I am just thawing out. 5 days of penetrating cold has wiped me out and it takes three weeks for my 17” thick solid walls to recover. I don’t envy you if you become surrounded by ice. You are very brave, I envy your fortitude too!

I believe certain people who “let go” whilst in the company of Nature can sense their being, I’ve often walked through a Wood on my own and spoke to trees telling them how beautiful they are and also how sorry I am for the way some are treated, I also talk to insects and birds, boat life in all weathers and all seasons has taught me the struggles of certain creatures, I even befriended a Rat that came out every day at a mooring I was on one winter and I fed it bird nuts etc, it didn’t choose to be born a Rat and I told it so. Crazy old man I am…😊
