  12. I like this. I've never heard of Irondale, just Ironton. There are some very depressing areas here but also a lot of signs that people are trying to do the best with what they have. Kudos to them.

  21. I'm fascinated with these videos, especially the ones in rural locations. Who owns these derelict properties ? Do you lose title to a property if you abandon it? I think most European countries have derelict housing tax, and it's fairly substantial too.

  22. I'm in agreement with many of the other commenters: this place doesn't look bad at all. Some of the houses haven't gotten enough love, or have been cast off (and orange-tagged) entirely, but overall it doesn't look despondent at all, not like Camden NJ, Gary IN, or some of the other places you've shown. I don't know when you recorded this, but it feels like it was a Sunday afternoon: "Lazy day, Sunday afternoon; like to put your feet up, watch TV." but I digress ... A few notes: (1) 0:15 that brick building was a sad story: those acorn finials, of which [at least] one was missing, once capped some handsome brickwork. (2) 0:30 the collage on Atkinsons barber shop is GORGEOUS. Kudos to the artist! (3) 2:25 those guys emerging from the car looked like family/friends going for a visit - decent folk. (4) 7:36 another interesting mural, on the side of the "Palace Centre." I couldn't make out what it was, but it looked fabulous. (5) 9:05 another sad story: I really like Luxfer, a standard feature of 30's-era buildings, but alas in most places if it's got Luxfer it's forelorn. But I really enjoyed the ride through Erie.   35. I gotta say that I really like this place. Wonderful old architecture that gives it a homey feeling. I don't like newer cities at all. I'm also impressed as to how clean it is. Sadly these days drugs are everywhere. You can't get away from it no matter where you go. Again, I appreciate the information on this nice city. I hope it does revitalize. I'd hate to see such a nice place fall into decay as you've shown us from other cities. Truly a great adventure and thanks for bringing us along. 🤠👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
