  2. This technology is pretty awesome. A lot of pro race cars have manually adjustable sway-bars to adjust grip for certain track/surface situations. So, the driver can change the sway-bar stiffness while racing, amazing!

I think the take-away from this video is that the market needs a good variety of sports cars, lightweight entry-level sports cars in addition to the more costly medium- and heavy-weight sports cars. Because excess power does not eliminate excess weight, it follows that a lightweight sports car can offer a uniquely enjoyable driving experience.

  12. People are saying that this engines to complicated, to much to go wrong, service costs etc, tell me what in that engine is so complicated and high service costs? Thereā€™s allot of tech in there but itā€™s all actually pretty simple. Thereā€™s virtually no service for the SC and turbo side. The engines not running high boost as the CR ratio is fairly high so the engine should be solid . The amount of sensors etc are almost identical to most conventional turbo cars. The only thing would be the integration of the electric power, however this tech has been out for a decade now and itā€™s super reliable. I donā€™t get the issue? have they proven to be unreliable since they launched that engine?

  19. Keep up the excellent job. Love how you "break" down the science to a simple explanation. Also, even though you are producing less often...I'm enjoying them more. Maybe just me but the quality is going up and seeing more of the passion of the engineering again in you in the videos...may also be the reason why I'm enjoying them more or think the quality is better. As an engineer, your passion for engineering shows. Whatever changes you made in your life between producing videos, keep it up...it shows positively.

Now I think back to David and Jack and now Paul has Duncan who I think all came from the flat rate dealership or other service department. Awesome as always Jason and love these collaborations with Charles. Met him finally at last spring's Wookies in the Woods and he is indeed a great guy and very friendly to talk to and hang out with. Thank you for all that you do. Still use your videos all the time to show folks various aspects to automotive engineering. Look forward to the next one.

  36. Why did you add resistances to gravity to get spin? You better fix it ;) What you need to do is add down-force to mass, multiply it by 0.6, and by coefficient of friction. You will end up with the max force tires can give you. Resistance do not play a role here. It would matter for example if you would calculate acceleration.

D.Prasad Honda last 3-4 (?) years in F1 had* serious reliability problems with McLaren. * current year have better reliability though and some say that McLaren wanted too much of small package hence the reliability problems. This year with Toro Rosso they have much better in reliability.
