  4. Steam curing of concrete at atmospheric pressure has the advantage of accelerating the hydration reactions of Portland cement. Consequently, the material develops compressive strength and reduces its permeability in a shorter time compared with standard curing under ambient conditions :) :).👍

No doubt other posters have said this, but... *I think the steel plates are bolted to each end, so the cables can be pulled tight, which enhances the strength of the piling. *The lifter which uses suction cups is so the piling is lifted dead flat. If it were, say, lifted at the ends, huge lateral force would be exerted on the concrete, which would cause cracking. Concrete is hugely strong in compression, but not in other directions.

  16. While it is technically correct to say that the vibration compacts the concrete, trapped air pockets can weaken the structure. In addition over-vibration is bad due to excess separation of the aggregate and cream (more than just surface finish).

  20. White air from impact driver is mix of oil and water vapor. Air tools have to be lubed too. I have done this and just usually used a truck to move the mix around. Usually 10 cubic yards at a time.

"White air" is from moisture in the compressed air rapidly cooling and turning into small ice particles as the air rapidly escapes from being pressurized in the tool to "zero" pressure in the atmosphere. If a tool is run for long enough, it will form ice on the outlet of the tool. I presume the concrete is whitened by the lime added to the mix for curing.

  46. I've done far worse jobs probably for less pay right here in America, in a liberal state no less. I actually came hear after watching a similar video from India which has far less automation and safety. Funny how so many comments are about the welfare of the workers but at the end of the day we all have this stuff in our houses and can't live without all the latest things. Well shot videography I enjoyed it very much. Thank You. :)
