  6. Absolutely. This video just shows the history of North India. South Indian history alone would require another video to show the Mighty Chera, Chola and Pandyan Empires. Especially, Cholas had the largest marine force in the world at their point of time and traded all over the world including middle-east, africa, rome, south-east asia, till japan and invaded the land currently known as Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. @Epimetheus Please make a video of South Indian history.

  7. Thanks for Korean history. Balhae dynasty was built Goguryo refugees and Manjurians. They called themselves as 'Goguryan' on diplomatic official documents with Japanese at that time. It shows they insisted they were descendants of Gogurye. In fact, they were worried about diplomatic confrontation against China, so they set name of their nation as 'Balhae', not 'Gogurye'. After collapse of Balhae, the son of king of Balhae went to Gorye dynasty. He became a refugee and senior government officials in Gorye dynasty.

  10. I love Spain. I love it's culture, it's people, it's food and it's history (oh and it's climate) but is this the right time to be doing this? I'm not Spanish and have no right to comment on the sentiments involved but look at the battle we are having with the EU over Brexit and we haven't even left yet. Imagine the problems a breakaway state might have, not just within the EU but with the UN having to recognize a new sovereign state within a recognized member. It could be a nightmare. For the sake of your beautiful country, I hope you work it all out.

  16. I would like to point out a couple incorrectly chosen images. At 3:59, the image says 魏文帝曹丕, who is the first emperor of the Wei Kingdom rather than Sui Dynasty. Also, at 5:13, the paper money is from the Ming Dynasty as it says 大明 at the top and 洪武 at the bottom. Anyways, this video is awesome and I would definitely subscribe to your channel.

  24. This is a good video and pretty thorough overview of Mesoamerican Indigenous history. One thing though, and I can only speak specifically of the Mexica aspect, is the pronunciation. The X is like an SH sound. So it's Mesheekah, and other words follow that pattern, too, when in reference to Nahuatl words. Again, great info. I learned more about things I hadn't known much of. I'm a descendant of one of the various indigenous groups that settled in Sinaloa, but I'm on a search for more info. Thanks.

I also have a Chinese ancestry but my grandmother only came to Singapore in 1955.   34. Magnificent video. I wish there was more study on this too. Native American history as a whole is severely underrepresented or misunderstood. We need more of this. Also pronunciation: *Méxica - MEH-shee-kah (X is actually a sh sound because of mistransliteration by Spaniards) *Aztec - AS-tek (Z is actually an S, again because of Spanish) *Méxica is what they traditionally name themselves. The use of Aztec was popularized after the invasion of Spaniards. Aztec is said to be the name of the Méxica people's ancestors from their mythological place of origin, Aztlan (As-tłan) Lake Texcoco - TESH-koh-koh Méxica capital Tenochtitlán - teh-notch-tee-TŁAHN ("tl" is more like a breathy L sound or a mix of Th and L) Tlaxcala - *TŁAH-sh-kala Mixtec - MEESH-tek Zapotec - SAH-poh-tek

  39. very interesting story about a little known place at a little known time. on the backs of native labour the spanish mined so much silver that it wrecked their economy with inflation. literally, if spain hadn't eaten the brunt of american silver coming to europe, their economy would still be doing well today and they'd be a successful and powerful country.
