  1. Thats not right, he lost both fat and muscle mass. If you are in a calorie deficit unless you continue to resistance train and switch macros to make sure protein is sufficient then you will lose both fat and muscle. As he was just a runner, this is not anerobic training so would inevitably lose muscle.

  16. Great to have a sense of purpose and self love but when you’re surviving day to day just to eat and you live in an absolute shit hole, I do think you’d arrive at a different perspective. Count your blessings for being born in a family and country that has given you a privileged life right off the bat. There is no 1 size fits all when it comes to the meaning of life or life advice. But there are some guidelines - do the right thing as much as you can, live honestly and don’t hurt good ppl. Find your faith and belief in life, make peace with your place in existence and reality.

  38. Nice going Jim. What is truly most important?; Mere survival? Strength and Health? Wealth? Sexual conquests? Relationships? Power and Influence? Without what are all such things meaningless? Air? Certainly, but Perception, Awareness is key. Without that 'nothing', actually is permanent. Beliefs vanish in the absence of awareness. Does it matter if one knows the heart of their awareness? Does it truly make any difference? Many swear it does, and is the foundation of real life. But most like dominoes move in a loop of programmed habits, fears, desires, and struggles. Freedom from such things is equal to what? In an absolute sense, there can be only one. Or perhaps that resides in or as the indiscernible essence perceiving this.

About two+ years past a hernia surgery, physical therapy, and ongoing challenges with brain fog & memory challenges after tapering two medications that I wish I never took to assist the process. Losing that time in my 20's with a few more years to go before 30 has put perspective into my life with how valuable time is. I reevaluate how it is being spent and try to prioritize my internal goals/well being before others now. Still trying to go to grad school which has been sidetracked from my head not being as spry as it used to be, I find that the most enjoyment that I feel these days is from helping others and spending time with the people that truly matter in my life. Thanks for your advice and for sharing this video.

  46. I really appreciate you for making this video. It's raw, vulnerable and makes you think about our shared human experience and the ways we choose to spend it. I'm 29 at the moment and it's an interesting time of life. People around me are getting married, breaking up, and others are also just living an over indulgent lifestyle. We're all trying our best to make a living, support each other and thrive. One of the areas that feels like a growth blocker for me is finding moments to pause and reflect more on purpose and introspective thoughts given the fast nature of work. Between work, family and friends it can seem like every week is another blur to make it through. A nightmare I may have is waking up and having another 10 years past without being mindful and intentional of life. So thank you for this reminder to love yourself, be in the moment, and pursue purpose.
