Well done video, there are more than one entrance to the tunnels. But the official one is where you state. There are 2 other ones.

I drove and walked Centralia in the mid 90s. You could still see where the houses were. The streets name posts were there. No houses. A church still stood and a cemetery with a banner strung across the iron fence “ Our Future “. U could see where it had burned under the roadway and smoke coming up from the ground

It’s a shame, young man you deserve 100,000 views easily on your channel. You do great work.

Excellent video. I've learned a lot about New York infrastructure from you and your great presentations than anywhere else. Thank you.

This bridge could serve a vital subway connection between Brooklyn & Staten Island, which was never done.

Nice Episode :D

Always great to see a video about the Greatest Generation, the ones that pulled together during WWII to fight for our Freedoms. But now it's up to us, today, to protect those Freedoms from those that would be more than happy to take them away. Thanks to Ryan for another fine watch................

Very interesting Ryan~Thank you‼️ So easy to walk by this building without any knowledge of all that went into it & all it’s been a part of 👍🏻

Hello from Kansas 🇺🇲

Living in South OC CA, I've never been to Vegas, and I doubt I ever will. It just doesn't have anything that appeals to me. Well, maybe the Pawn Stars . . lol. But I am sadden when I hear historical and iconic buildings being demolished. It's like history being erased, and I always find that shameful. But when it comes to hotels and resorts that just don't pull in the money - it's a necessary evil, I guess.

As a one time Queens resident, I am happy that the iconic, historic Staten Island Ferries still exist.

Thank you for the history lesson on the tunnel. Growing up in Detroit that tunnel has always been a part of life.

I was a boy when they were building the VN bridge. I remember driving back to New Jersey from Brooklyn and seeing those tall towers.

I'm honestly obsessed with these ships. I have original items from all 3 sisters. My Britannic piece being my pride and joy. Been studying these liners and others for years. I Love to see content that actually tries to get the history right. It seems like it's mostly conspiracy videos out there.

Hello everyone

Thank you for sharing this awesome It’s History video about the impressive Hell Gate Bridge. I have seen it many times driving by it. I also once took an Amtrak Train from CT over the Hell Gate Bridge, and going on through to Penn Station for my trip to my final destination, Iselin, New Jersey. It was amazing to take this train ride over this majestic historic railroad Bridge. I also know that Lionel Electric Toy Train Company manufactured and sold their toy version of it too. When I was a child, our family took a Circle Line boat tour around Manhattan Island, and when we got to the Hell Gate area where the rivers met together, I remembered how very turbulent the water currents were in that vicinity too. I could understand why boats had accidents or were sunk there.

Some of those racist city-councillors must've really hated jazz!

EVEN IN KANSAS , SING SING PRISON WAS ALSO KNOWN TO US KANSAS KIDS ,EVEN MORE THAN LEAVENWORTH FEDERAL PRISON! I DID GET TO VIEW THE PRISON RIDING AMTRAK BETWEEN ALBANY AND NYC!

Very well done

I grew up on the Reading Railroad side of town. The Pennsylvania railroad served the other side of town.

I had a great view of bridge from my past home is Stapleton Heights. You can get a spectacular view from either side. You can visit Fort Wadsworth historic grounds on Staten Island side or Belt parkway (Shore Road Park) Brooklyn side. They both have such a close up to the immense size and beauty of this magnificent structure sitting at the mouth of the Hudson River. You look one way and it's the Atlantic Ocean and the other way the magnificent Hudson River. PS It was reported that my childhood friends' father was the first motorcyclist to cross the Verrazano Narrows. He road an Indian Motorcycle and his last name was Fagone. I did actually see a picture (I think newspaper pic) of him doing it, but never was able to officially confirm it. Thank you. Very well done. Thanks for posting

I am 63 years old. I consider myself well informed and a pretty smart guy. One time as an elementary school librarian, a student asked me how many books I'd read in my life and I answered, "Oh, about fifteen thousand thousand. The number is about twenty thousand now and I did not know that monument was there until today. Holy Cow! The smarter you get the more you find out what you don't know.

It's been REALLY cleaned up & it's becoming a lovely waterway once again.
