Great story. Thank you for creating and posting it. Loved the old-time drawing and photographs.

Holy hell! Now I have to check Hotels extra careful if I ever visit NY. Wouldn't want basketball Americans to appear out of the blue in my hotel. Scary place!

What did the fish say after he swam into a wall........."DAM"😁🙄😉

Informative documentary, nice job! I had no idea this explosion had occurred there. The flour dust was and is still a dangerous aspect in the milling process. A concern that Washburn addressed in the more modern way with his new building. One minor point of confusion was that you mentioned the date of 1887 in the into and then subsequently use the correct date of 1878 (as I later found) for the rest of the video.

What a great story. I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and the 90s. I visited the great Salt Lake often over the years. I have wondered about the old railroad tracks that would drive through the great Salt Lake. Thanks for the video.

Taking a date there in the 80's was a surefire way of showing a girl a good time. Food was never that great but the views and ambiance made up for it.

This video was a nice surprise! I didn't know there was a replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

In the late 90s, we drove through Sandy Hook on the way back from another location on a class field trip. The old brick buildings looked really cool and from another era. I had no idea there is camping there and I would love to do that sometime!
3
Would be fun to rebuild them!

Here for all the Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes fans.

Undoubtedly one of the most unique places on the planet, you can see all the way to the Atlantic ocean. Oh my God.

This place is used in so many movies.

I remember me, my brother, my friend, and my teacher went into the Sears Tower. We went up the top floor and as we going up my ears popped.
3
Thanks, great video.

You mention more than 12,000 Liberty Ships built?? The number completed was actually 2710, which was still a huge number in maritime terms.
3
Awesome video, Ryan!! Could you do videos on the Lincoln Hwy and PCH as well?? I'd love to hear your take on them.

Not Ugly, it has character.

We used to go to Windsor for all special occasions, because staying in the riverfront hotels allowed dogs. Havent been back since covid. I really miss biking Pelle Island, and all the great brunch and dinner restaurants.
3
Yes yes yes. I love this channel

You ought to do a video on Jerome AZ

I’ve seen a couple circuses there when I was a kid. Through my teenage years I seen many many concerts. I even remember when they had monster truck jam there several times. I remember when Brian Adams had a concert there. Then after the concert we went to a local bar and he was sitting in the bar performing for the bar patrons.

Ryan idk how you do it, but you weren't kidding about making this channel active again. You and the crew are on point.

Why don't we hear of 100 year old railroad bridges collapsing? Why is it just highway bridges?
3
YES I live just outside of Detroit, the era of abandoned skyscrapers was my favorite, so much to explore. Thanks for the upload! Nothing makes me wish i lived in that time more then the Book tower.
3
I have gone there several times. I park my car there for FREE and go see a Mets game. Yeah I'm a cheap arse.😁. Also to see Veronica Lueken ( dead now) who had visions of Virgin Mary and Jesus there at the Vatican Pavilion back in the 80s. Awesome large place to visit Just during the day though.

Ryan, thank you so much for sharing both Washington's story and the story of this beloved monument of our most important founding father! I am thinking about the time I first heard this statement about Washington. It was that a decision he made saved The Revolution. At the time I heard that, I believed it; but I did not completely understand it. But when I think on it, or am reminded of it by people like you, I am filled with such gratitude towards, and admiration for him! How did George Washington save The Revolution? He refused to accept the role of king or dictator which we would have gladly given to him. When I think even more about it, he not only saved The Revolution. He saved our history. Because if he had accepted either role, our history would have been vastly different than what we know. We not only owe a debt of gratitude to George Washington but an even greater debt of gratitude to Our Heavenly Father who gave Washington to us.

My mother had a vacation house in Florida. The threat of sinkholes was a big factor in why she sold the house.

Tens of thousands of people live along this highway now; it must be maintained for everyday life to proceed. Many small Towns along the highway need the tourist just to survive. I drive SR1 in Northern CA every day and love it. You did not mention the area of the highway that bypassed known as the Lost Coast, as it was too difficult to build there.

Was randomly recommended this today. Fascinating history channel. Subscribed!

Ryan, Your videos are really interesting. Thanks, How about giving us a history of The Atomium in Brussells, the giant model of an atom. I have been in it since its recent refurbishment, and even all this time since it was built in 1958, it is just amazing .People would be fascinated to tour inside. When I collected a postage stamp showing it, that part of the world seemed unattainably far away, as did the future. From Australia, you could only contemplate going that far by a ship. The day finally came when all that changed.

Professor again another great history lesson from the past, have a great day be at peace and be safe...
