Ryan, your documentary is top quality it's feel as if watching it on the History or Discovery channels. Keep up the great work. I love watching your rail series. Speaking of NY. Ryan, did you know in Bedford, Indiana there's a place called the Empire Quarry? It's where the huge hole in the ground is where the Indiana limestone was cut for the Empire State Building. The birthplace where it all originated. Several tons cut and hauled by rail to NYC back then to make what we see in the Manhattan skyline today since 1931. Other notable buildings like the Pentagon and in even in Chicago like the famous Palmolive Building along with some other historic buildings.

The fact that you used the LDS temple to show Tucson was kinda weird. But it is a beautiful building.

Sad how shortsighted and destructive those men were.

Wow, I'm OLD but had no idea this even existed in our once great country !! Don't mean to be negative but look at all that was accomplished by our forefathers, their vision, brains and determination !! Today it seems that burning it down and getting in your face is what people, who have never created a thing, find the time to do with themselves. Great video, and well over a century ago to boot ! Dreamers keep dreaming !!

Even if empty, the building is an urban sculpture worth preserving.

For those of us who grew up in Coney Island in the 50s and 60s there was nothing like the magic of everything about it from its tip to its end never was and never will be again
3
Ryan, if you haven't already done it you should read the book "At Dawn We Slept" by Gordon Prange, Donald Goldstein, and Katherine Dillon. It addresses the myths and conspiracy theories surrounding Pearl Harbor.
3
hi ryan. how 'bout a vid about strange doors? not Jim, but forgotten or hidden doors that were discovered or held surprises like disused infrastructure or passages to forgotten places or hidden rooms. no modern stuff now;)
3
I definitely never realized there was a wire passed back and forth for 6 months to make a suspension bridge. Respect.

I bought and live in one of these! It's a 1928 and we constantly get remarks about how "cute" and nice it is. It's way more durable and stronger than our old house that was built in the 00's. "They don't make them like they used to" is so true. We enjoy it.

Toured Eastern State in Philadelphia. Itโs pretty neat.

Hello from Warsaw, Poland!

Really good doc! Iโve been to the Canals numerous times during my life. However, you did forget to mention a few interesting facts about the canal. For starters, the canal was instrumental in transporting much of the Brownstone used to build Brooklynโs iconic Brownstone homes. Also, you didnโt mention sludgie the whale! Nor the beautiful Newtown creek nature walk along the canal. In addition, you will see ducks floating on the water from time to time. This signals that the water is getting cleaner, despite still being unsafe for humans. If youโre interested, check out an artist name George Trakkas. He was pretty influential in bringing attention to the canal back in the day.

You can't do any of that Lord or Lady garbage with an establishedtitles purchase, also deforestation is a myth in the Western world. If they planted trees in the Amazon, ok, but they don't

The Romans used this type of central heating 100 BC although under floor heating systems have been found dating back to 1300 BC in the palace at Beycesultan, Turkey

Ryan you need to look into the town of Valmeyer Illinois, which was destroyed by the 1993 flood of the Mississippi river and was relocated a few miles away on higher ground.

Very interesting. I hope they will do the needed upkeep. It's a shame that they can't open it to the public. Thanks so much.
