  3. It is difficult to say when Switzerland became a constitution. To some extend you can consider the Rütlischwur in the 14th century as a kind of contitution as it made the first 3 cantons independent from the Habsburg monarchy. Later more regions jound the confederation and since the Napoleonic wars Switzerland has the current size and about the same constitution even there are amendments from time to time.

  4. Trump will destroy the base of capitalism in the USA, what parody. It happens often that the result is the opposit of what people originally wanted if they are low educated. But to be honest I also believed in this idea that tariffs could be beneficiary for a while and still think it is a tool but more as a sanction againt a specific country.

If you are fair and do not follow the usual narrative if the victorious part, than youcannot deceide what went wrong in 1914. Versille thal layed the ground for ww2. There are no easy lessons from history.

  20. What is really good in bringing back low paid jobs? Right now it is alredy difficult to hire good staff. More factories would make the labour shortage worse and only accelerate inflation. It is good if faactories with low price goods go abroad this offers growing potential for higher paid jobs. Even China want to get rid low cost branches like textile to move the economy direction to an US economy.

Ĺets say a factory worker in China earn $5 per hour and in the USA $50 per hour. Would the consumer really pay 10 times more for the same product in case it is work force intensive? No people would not acept such a hyperinflation and reduction of living standard.

That time no nations existed only aristocratic land or land belonging the church or an abby. The farmer of the 3 canton Uri, Schwyz and Niedwalden defeated an army of the Habsburg king and became independent. This was the first time in Europe that a nation developed. Before people did not consider themthelves as as Poles, Germans or Italiens. They were only an asset of a certain ruler. The village I was born was sold by a Habsburg Earl to an Abby and later to the king of Wuertemberg.

  31. Russian propaganda want to tell us that Russians that Russians will fight with water and bread, but reality shows that the government must increase the consript payments every week. I am often talking with Russians from the Krasnodar region and they think the war will end by an uprising in the Caucasus region and breaking apart of the federation. Nobody there want to live from bread and water. We do not live in 1940 anymore.

Why are the poorest vote for Trump who only cares about the richest 10%? The other point, that he want to bring back partiarchic rules and "protect women if they want it or not" is attractive for men, but why are women accepting to be supressed and even sexually abused ? Abortion is a fundamental right for women and should not be dictated by men.

I had the same impressian before 2014, but when I talk now with the same people from Crimea I must say that they are brainwashed and belive the Russian propaganda. It is also totally wrong that Crimea is a prosperous region. It alwaxs needed payments from Ukraine and now from Russia. There is no water and desertification is an issue.

  49. I disagree that a free market is the most important factor for Russians economy recovery. The destroyed trust is much more difficult to repair. The USSR always fullfilled its gas contracts with Europe. But when Putin stopped gas delivery, trust in Russia was destroyed and even China do not want to build power of siberia.
