"Taking Faux News as if it were the truth."

1. With Ukrainian Troops. 2. Yeah, some of them. 3. It's not his military, he's the US President, not Ukraine's.
4
The Lord wants nothing to do with Trump.
4
If 100% of IRS funding went to ICE agents and wall building, then $0 would go to ICE agents or wall building (or anything else).
4
You said "Democrat" instead of "Republican."
4
They will prove their case, that's their job. The indictment only lays out how they will prove their case in court.
4
Like PT Barnum said, "there's a sucker born every minute," and like DJT said, "I love stupid people."
4
Gooby Pls Thanks, you're certainly breaking cliches there yourself.
4
Why?
4
Of course lockdowns work for the flu. In fact, normal flu rates are WAY down over typical years due to lockdown measures. In countries where they actually did have lockdowns, like China, the virus was almost completely eradicated. Since we haven't had serious lockdowns in the US, 400k Americans are dead that didn't have to be.
4
It is responsible fiscal policy to provide people relief funds during crisis situations, such as a national pandemic, and to then recover those funds once the crisis has passed. This is a more efficient way to function than to just let the country crawl their way out of a crisis at the natural pace.
4
@Eldeecue Yeah, but they can at least accept that 60%+ of the country, even in strongly red states, is not going to be anti-choice, and that they have no right to make that decision for other people. Nobody is forcing anti-choice people to get abortions themselves, they just have no right to impose their own beliefs on the topic onto others.
4
Don't worry, if the Nazis come to mess with the inauguration like they tried at the Capitol last week, they will be put down. We have learned from history.
4
That's not how "it goes both ways" works. "Hate" is not considered a fair alternative to "love."
4
His constituents elected him though, and he hasn't actually done anything wrong, so that would basically be an action against their oaths to uphold the Constitution. Not that they'd mind that, of course.
4
Alex Supertramp Yes. Like when people go to the polls, and their votes are recorded, and the one named Biden gets 81m votes and 306 electoral votes, and the one named Trump only gets 74m million votes and 232 electoral votes, which is less, so he loses and has to go home, because that's how democracy works.
4
And he was wrong.
4
@Bellysniffer Yes, some have them, people who would boycott a sports team over supporting LGBT people, do not. You can choose to be amoral if you want, that is your right, just don't expect anyone to respect you for it. Jesus certainly wouldn't.
4
She is a habitual liar though, I mean that's just a fact. They don't like his daughter because she's a habitual liar that took on a job where her ONLY responsibility was to tell the truth to the American people.
4
@stevenbrown5210 Ask Ukraine, they've done it before, and can do it again.
4
@eodyn7 Russia. It was Russia that invaded Ukraine. The US did not enter either country.
4
Yeah, I'm glad we voted that guy out last time.
4
He's better than the last guy, at least. He would have just invited them both to the White House for cheeseburgers and then handed them the nuclear football as a going away present.
4
@mylanmiller9656 What are you talking about? If Kavenah couldn't tell what a woman was, he wouldn't know who to assault.
4
What are you talking about? No rights changes hands today. Trump supporters stormed the Capital, which was a disgrace, but they were removed in short order and the election was certified as normal.
4
Then why was she the one that passed the bill that would help people, not milk them?
4
This is a constitutional republic. People only have the right to elect those who meet the eligibility requirements laid out in the Constitution. Trump does not.
4
@avenue8822 A conviction in court would lead to jail time or fines. It has nothing to do with congress. Congress is basing their decisions off of their own analysis of the evidence, as the Constitution provides. The Judicial branch is not relevant to the Legislative
4
New York taxpayers.
4
Always.

@seraeggobutterworth5247 Due process only applies in matters of life, liberty of property. None of those are being challenged in this case. Due process was served by this decision.
3
@seraeggobutterworth5247 The 14a is making sure that the 5th applies equally to freed slaves and other varieties of US citizen. At no point does it imply that a criminal conviction is required to trigger later elements of the amendment.
3
tomcutler165 The 14th amendment does not require criminal charges to have been made. It's also important to understand that the specific charge of "insurrection" is not a necessary component of the 14th amendment in any way, so obviously Trump could not get out of this by claiming "not insurrection" wordplay.
3
Sure he is. Both parties have to agree to a set of rules for the debate to take place.
3
That's the problem, it's meant to be a debate, not a "which crowd is more rowdy" contest. We're electing leaders, not Wrestlemania stars.
3
@seraeggobutterworth5247 Due Process was done in this case. At NO point was any criminal conviction required in the process, so "he hasn't been convicted of any crimes yet" is 100% irrelevant to this situation. All that is required is for a duly appointed state election supervisor to determine that he violated his oaths of office, and then that decision can be challenged in the court system as it has been. You are making up rules around this process that never existed.
3
No, Russia did. They were the ones that invaded their neighbor. Neither the US nor EU nor Ukraine attacked anyone.
3
@sz5263 NATO could expand to east of Russia's doorstep. There is nothing wrong with that. Russia invaded their neighbor, THAT was the initiation of the war.
3
@thatolddragon5560 What are you talking about? He's already had over 91 indictments. His broken mental state won't get him out of that.
3
Don't let the door hit you.
3
Wait, what's this about "ground rules about hiding behind the 5th amendment?" Are they saying that if he does not agree to appear before them and waive his 5th amendment rights, then they would hold him in contempt? Punishing him for exercising his Constitutional rights, how is that not blatantly against the Constitution? Even asking such a thing should be grounds for expulsion form Congress.
3
For the same reason people were concerned about his mentor in the 1930s.
3
No, the majority definitely don't want McCarthy, they just can't agree on any other person either. They should all rally behind Jeffries.
3
Yes, it is exactly because this is a constitutional republic that this is all happening. To uphold the constitution.
3
What do you think she lied about?
3
I'd love them to try the old Republican playbook anyway, just leave the room, go to cameras, and go "he sung like a canary, Joe was behind the whole thing!" and then the reporters go "you do know that this was a public hearing, and he said nothing of the sort, right?"
3
This is not an empire, this is a constitutional republic, and that means following the constitution, even when it falls against Dear Leader.
3
That's not how these work. They tend to get about 50/59 audiences, it's just that Trump supporters ignore the rules to not hoot and holler, so they sound louder.
3
They are, that's why these four were basically booted out of it, so that the rest could uphold that oath.
3
It's not Pelosi that's holding this up, ask Mitch McConnell what the hold-up is.
