@objectiveobserver-yi4by Stop trolling from your mother's basement, creep.

The potential for catastrophe is not "unproven". The argument against fixing the problem because of the "cost" is nonsensical and it's the same argument I'm hearing from folk who don't want to support Ukraine because it will "cost".

I've read your comment multiple times... and I'm not sure what you mean? We're all human. Why have borders at all? It's not simple, I guess. Having the world divided into nation states seems to be the best approach so far... until rouge leaders play "empire builder".

It's probably true by this point in the war that most are being forced but it wasn't as true early on. Plenty joined for the money and for various other reasons back in 2022.
1
As long as the price is low, everyone wins except putin.
1
Why what?
1
What do you want them to do? Trigger all out war with Russia? Let's hope not.
1
I can't answer the question but during my school years, history mostly focused on local issues and the the world wars. I didn't even know Ukraine was a country until Feb 2022. But has any of this been brush under the table or is it more about a lack of interest? I never gave a toss about history. It bored me to tears. In one ear and out the other. But something like a war brings it to the forefront of peoples awareness, as it has mine. I've learned more about Ukraine from this video than I learned in my 60 years. But last year I wouldn't have given it a second thought.

My position is that both Prigozhin and Putin are a pair of lying thugs who'll say whatever is necessary in order to fulfill their own selfish goals. I won't believe a word that leaves either of their lips. Sometimes they may speak truth (in the proverbial broken clock way), but it's truth for the wrong reasons. I cheer the chaos but not Prigozhin.
1
What plot?
1
Work it out lol
1
Apparently that's a compliment? Not a phrase I've heard before lol
1
Truth, actually.
1
Yes, if he promotes genocide. I don't think he does, though, right?
1
I don't see a connection between these talks and the other thing you're referring to. Talks stand or fall on their own merrit. You're offering a fallacy. Whatever happens to putin long term, I confident these two wont be involved. They'll continue to provide great discussion and information.
1
Partly because what Ukraine needs is a hell of a lot of stuff, and political decisions have to get through peacetime political processes. And we're talking about defeating the #2 super power. How much can a run down NATO provide all at once without weakening itself? I don't have the answer, do you? It's easy to say "send everything", but it's a whole different thing to actually implement it. That said, I do agree with your sentiment.
1
Your take on Israel is incorrect. Israel has no intentions of committing genocide. The problem is hamas and how they've converted civilian infrastructure into military bases... e.g. schools and hospitals. Ukraine and Israel are effectively fighting the same axis of terror. Both need help. The roadblock in the way of American aid to Ukraine is well known... a handful of seemingly pro pootin Republicans. But here's a question that no one ever talks about... why didn't Ukraine make use of the Lend Lease facility? It has expired unused, reportedly.
1
They're not terrified of russia losing.
1
Great comment.
1
Yeah, and why are ruzzian products available in the west? They should all be taken off the shelves.
1
China needs to be sanctioned.
1
Hope you're right, but I have little faith in that lying clown.
1
There are very few nazis left in the world, and most of the remaining ones are Russian. So.... you're not making any sense.
1
Trump wanted a strong NATO, which is why he was pissed off. Too many European NATO members were sitting on their hands. Trump was equally dissatified with the UN for its ineffectiveness.
1
Yeah, they're working on a concept.
1
Yeah, he's an opportunist and a useful idiot.
1
Not really. I could say a lot more but 'afterthesmash' has said it better. You also oversimplify the Iraq conflict.
1
It's a church in the same way the Catholic Church is a church. They all peddle a similar bs, but some worse than others.
1
That's a ridiculous comment. This channel is entirely the opposite of propaganda.
1
@yrmanja The person we should all be most concerned about right in my opinion is Putin. That should be self evident. He could end the war right now but he seemingly lacks the good aspects of human nature whilst having an over abundance of the bad stuff. That and a serious level of self delusion.
1
Sorry, but this is the same old blah blah blah we've been hearing for two years. It's very easy in hindsight to whine about being too conservative with Russia's red lines. But who can tell us what Russia would have done if Ukraine had been given everything they needed, open slather, no restrictions. Well, we'll never know, but the world is still intact. The nukes weren't launched, thankfully. Only a fool would have given Ukraine everything open slather up front and potentially shocked Russia into committing the ultimate act of madness. Not to take anyway from the value of this channel, but there are too many simplistic talking points being promulgated on a regular basis without serious thought to real solutions. Why? Because real solutions are thin on the ground. And they're hard... too hard for the average YT audience simpletons to digest.
1
@SiliconCurtain Perhaps I shouldn't have been so blunt in how I said it. You're doing a great job with promoting the pro Ukranian cause, and I respect your passion and drive. I'm also pro Ukraine. I've donated to the fund-raisers, notably Jake Broe's incredible effort, and I support a small Ukraine YouTuber. That said, I disagree with your hindsight based conclusion regarding how the war would have turned out. The real problems in my opinion were 1) Europe's insufficient level of defence finding and 2) US government dyfunction due to maga and ruzzian influence. Bottom line: we will never know with any confidence what might have happened. Could hsve been any one of a myriad of possibilities, from very good to very bad. Had Ukraine pushed the Russians out, would that have ended the war? I'm not confident that it would have. We'd still have a deranged paranoid Putin with his war chest intact and that huge Soviet stockpile of weapons etc. I'm a conservative person by nature and would rather "boil the frog slowly" so to sprak. I believe caution was prudent.
1
What lies?
1
How would that work. He has nothing to do with what ruzzians do. It's about personal responsibility. The ruzzian who commits the war crime is the guy that should be locked up.
1
@krissteel4074 Excellent point and said better than I could. People who glibly suggest Russians should just rise up for freedom appear to not have an understanding of what they would be up against. It would take more than a few people "willing to die" to make any difference in my opinion.
1
What do you mean by "NATO is an enemy in living memory"?
1
What the hell was that all about? LOL
1
There are plenty of those types throughout the West. Being ant-woke, I almost became like them but these types are too often fixated on one issue and appear incapable of independent thought. For example, I kind of respected Trump for his anti woke position but I also saw his failings. I don't buy into conspiracy theories.
1
Why?
1
Can Russia simply shut down some wells permanently? I mean, pick the most inefficient wells by some metrics and abandon them?
1
You're some kind of mindless troll I'm guessing?
1
My hope is that the mid term elections put Democrats back in control of Congress and Senate. Then Trump could be impeached again. Perhaps wishful thinking?
1
I can't listen to any more of your guest's bs. I can't believe this guy actually cares about Ukraine. He's clueless about the Democrats. He's wearing Trump proof blinkers, and he's clearly partisan.
1
@marksaul-h7n "cash money" is too simplistic.
1
Keyboard broken?
1
How can it take weeks and months to supply Ukraine when a lot of the stuff had already been shipped to Europe before the aid bill was passed?
1
@daddad8707 Not really.
1
Your TDS is showing. A lot of that Trump stuff is only evident in hindsight.
1
Realism definition: "The attitude or practice of accepting a situation as it is and being prepared to deal with it accordingly". Realism definition: "A way of thinking and acting based on facts and what is possible, rather than on hopes for things that are unlikely to happen" What they're being talked about here and labelled as "realism" is BS. I'm a realist. People such as Trump who want to force Ukraine into a stupid 'deal' are not realists, they're selfishly looking for easy out... that's expedience. I support Ukraine's right to regain its territory and have Russia kicked out of Ukraine and out of Crimea. To me this goal is about realism. It's about dealing with reality the way it is and finding a path to the way we want it to be.
1
I feel you've misunderstood the comments regarding ethnicity. In reality, it would be very easy to mistake Russians for Ukrainians. It would also be easy to mistake Canadians for Americans. I do regularly. It depends on accent. I very often can't tell the difference whether visually or superficially. I'm pretty sure that's what he meant. Definitely not a big fail if taken in context. That said, he was definitely wrong about a bunch of other stuff.
