@decidingpaper6324 Yeah, I'd agree with that. 70-30 Nunez.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Yeah, Martin might! Even if he loses (and he would), wouldn't be THAT big of a deal. Still would have a high ranking and more than enough time to work back.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Unfortunately I'm feeling pretty confident that he will. After Rios and Doheny, I am not at all surprised if Ball fights.... Conlan or Josh Warrington in his next fight and the WBA just allows it.
2
I've always thought Mugabi to be overrated and this is the height of his career.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Bahdi's was beautiful. Full credit to him. But Bahdi caught an unproven prospect. Leo caught, arguably, the best in the division.
2
@Quietplague2000 Of course he does. He makes tons of mistakes fighting as he does, but its worked for him until now.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Yeah, great point. And Flores' dad was trying to stop that fight at the end but couldn't get the ref's attention. He just SAVAGED Gabe Flores and the guy was like 20-21. One of the biggest retrospective mismatches I've seen. Seemed like a good idea at the time: Hot prospect vs awkward, durable but seemingly unspectacular veteran... It was NOT a good idea.
2
@decidingpaper6324 That was just silly! Fight Venado, lose the way he did, then pick someone who has a win over Venado for his very next fight.
2
I hope Vargas is alright, the loss to Chon was brutal, but the last one was even worse! And I think John Mugabi just may be one of the most overrated fighters of all time.
2
@FlipWarBucks I did. It was the single best performance of Mugabi's career, full credit to him, but he lost. And it was always the case when he fought good fighters.
2
That was a peach! That was an absolute perfectly placed shot.
2
@francoisrenaito6933 Oh let him have his moment Francois! Everyone knows he isn't on Ramirez' level, but he had his night.
2
@JM14401 I think Zhang gets him again... but what do I know.
2
@decidingpaper6324 I think that would be a good idea after a certain age. Maybe say if you're.... 38, then it's just two instead of four.
2
@decidingpaper6324 They let Vinny Paz in. I think the HOF is about to get really ugly.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Same. Tanaka's flawed though. He makes a lot of mistakes - like throwing that uppercut from so far away and he isn't great defensively, in general. He couldn't pick up anything Ioka threw at him.
2
Nakatani was probably one of the biggest flyweights I've ever seen. Acosta was really good, former world champion, but smaller at the weight and completely outgunned anyway but he did well for himself.
2
@decidingpaper6324 There you go. I agree for the moment. Would be nice if they have that in France. Be a big French fight.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Yep. That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't know if the IBF would allow him to fight in an eliminator (probably not) (likely not), but go from an eliminator to a French title fight - you could do worse.
2
@Longliveyt-n7z Yep. You're right. DLH beat Sturm and had a middleweight title.
2
@StevenPolanco-yp3yc I picked him the first time, I think I'm leaning Nava this time but we'll see.
2
@calebstephan2083 Mike didn't fight a lot of high level guys which is the reason why he looked the way he did most times, but the heavyweight division from his era was terrible and he missed a few of them as well.
2
@adukabu Like I said Ado, I think Beterbiev will win the fight. I just think Yarde has a chance to give him a good fight. He's not invincible, he's human and he's getting up there in age, but we'll see yeah.
2
@Chris-fk1rx I said that because I remember a lot of talk about how difficult it was for him to make 140.
2
@decidingpaper6324 I'd pick him over Valdez. I think he'd have less problems with Oscar than Conceicao, actually.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Navarrete would. Gotta wait on Nava though. I think if he loses to Berinchyk (and he might), he'll go back to 130. If he wins it, he's surely gone.
2
I think it's close early and Venado starts to dominate as it goes along, but it should be a really good fight!
2
@decidingpaper6324 I meant Berchelt - Diaz. Nakathila's had a stretch of bad luck. Lost his last two fights by stoppage in the 2nd round but both were kinda questionable stoppages imo.
2
Looking back at it now, it's almost comical how she made 130 for so long. She says she's headed to 147 now and I think she handles the weight just fine.
2
He looked like he was trying to climb out of his own body the pain was so bad.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Oh Berlanga's.... he's a "project" now.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Yep good catch. Guy has a broken wheel and give him a ride to the final bell.
2
@casual_speedrunner1482 I most certainly would not have called it disrespectful. I didn't think it was disrespectful when Callum Smith hurt his arm and Canelo kept beating him in it or when Chan Sung Jung hurt his shoulder and Jose Aldo IMMEDIATELY started spamming kicks to the shoulder. It isn't against the rules, it's fair play and if Akale intentionally chose to NOT go after him because he was injured, then that was Akale being disrespectful to Akale and he deserved to lose.
2
That's a big win for him if he can get by Nova and probably a title shot for Nova if he pulls if off.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Badou is in his 40's and he's been out 2-3 years. As of right now, I'm picking Rozicki as well.
2
@Musashi_Bankai I meant 3x undisputed in the four belt era.
2
Mickey Ward was a specialist. You'd drop your hands and let him punch you in the head rather than take one of those left hooks to the body.
2
Meekins looks quite a bit like Allan Green. He ended up catching hell from Meldrick Taylor.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Definitely! He was taught to hit the target instead of punching through it in order to be a successful ammy fighter (and it worked) and that's just him now and it's always going to be him.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Bernardo is fighting on Friday.
2
@decidingpaper6324 For some VERY odd reason, Lamanna is ranked #4 by the wba at middleweight. i cannot even..... wtf
2
@decidingpaper6324 They also had Maravilla at #2 before he reretired and, of course, the WBA #1 at 160 is Michael Zerafa!
2
@decidingpaper6324 I have no clue! Since his loss to Jeff Horn, he beat Mundine who was 75 years old, Isaac Hardman and two guys I've never heard of. And not only that, but Lara is the champion and he seems intent on fighting Danny Garcia, so they've apparently paid Zerafa step aside money so that fight can be postponed over and over.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Yeah, he's "ok". He's a 6/10 type of guy. I think I'd probably pick Nakatani's last 9-10 opponents over Salapat though and you look at 76-1 like WOW. No. He is not a WOW.
2
@decidingpaper6324 .....yeah, it might. He's going to have to be super tough because he's surely going to have to take a lot of shots and probably isn't going to land very many.
2
@decidingpaper6324 It won't be tested in this fight either. I don't think he has a great chin. He isn't very big for a heavyweight either and, of course, Jalolov desouled him a few years ago, but that's Jalolov. When he is ready to fight world class guys, they may want to think about having him fight at bridgerweight if it's more up and going by then.
2
@decidingpaper6324 They have him at 6'2 and in the 220's so far for all his fights. I'd rather him have to fight Kaboom, Babic and Merhy sized opponents rather than..... Jalolov lol and Hrgovic.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Junto, maybe by a late stoppage. I'd probably take Nakatani over everyone below 122.
2
@decidingpaper6324 Yeah, I saw. He had something with his shoulder. Kinda just wrecked that undercard but Sasaki - Sakai will still be fun.
2
@vince11harris I agree with you.
