So the question is: If Usyk drops down to bridgerweight and wins the WBC & WBA belts, is he then the first 3x undisputed male champion??
5
I've never been that high on Flores. But he's 22 and has all the time in the world to develop. VERY interesting fight with Cabrera on Saturday.
5
@aolijayz_ They always say that about him being too small. I actually feel bad for those ppl. You're incapable of appreciating A LOT of great fighters if you're only interested in the big guys.
5
KO was almost identical to Mason Menard - Eudy Bernardo.
5
The first time I saw Mbilli fight, he came out bombing the first two or three rounds and I remember thinking that if his opponent could keep it together a minute, he'd probably win because there was no way in hell that Mbilli could keep that up.... but he did and won by ko in like 5 rounds I think. Gongora is a very good fighter though and we've already seen what he can do against hard hitting prospects. Should be a good one.
5
@stevenx2523 😅So were they just flinging it out of frustration and not directly aiming at Steve Smoger? Can you imagine, that fight ends like that and BOOM! You get hit in the back of the head with a full chair?!
5
They should do Conlan - Ramirez now.
5
I think it's going to take a giant puncher to get something done against Stevenson. I don't think anyone gets consistent offense in against him. DLS won't need it, he'll just need one or two, but I think he's going to have hard time finding it as well.
5
It was the night of bodyshot stoppages. This shows some definite improvement from Ali Walsh because this guy gave him all kinds of problems in their first fight.
5
Barrera said Morales had a punch that was "criminal". They should have locked his ass up for hitting that hard. These two were made for each other, probably took a few years off of each other's lives, but they were absolutely made for one another.
5
@ I think Zayas would take that fight, I don't think Tim would. At least he wouldn't take it next. Tim needs to get a win in his next fight.
5
@salsizmosanchez6889 Sometimes we do. Sometimes we spend years making the same mistake over and over again.
5
@micdoses1 Juan Manuel Lopez
5
Think it's going to be REALLY difficult for him to win it, but glad to see Leo get another shot after grinding his way back.
5
@chrism8457 Well that's an excellent point. Gonzalez stays getting title shots.
5
Why're you counting Richard Steele? That's almost as odd as Joe Cortez counting out the corpse of Herol Graham after Julian Jackson caught him.
5
@Drifter101z Rafa's much better than the rest of these guys. He might actually get in the HOF someday with his brother.
5
@Fraimco He sure did and Pac savaged Barrera in their first fight. It's fine now though. It happens. They were all great fighters, all in the HOF now.
5
I'm happy she's fighting again. Not sitting around waiting on Baumgardner. I think the rematch eventually happens, but she's 32, she has to make sure she stays active.
5
Love these two guys. Two of the most exciting fighters from their era.
5
This was a great win for Ramirez. I thought Nova would at least give him a decent fight and he destroyed and undefeated fighter who had been in with a few decent guys.
5
Pedraza's best days are behind him, he hasn't been in good form lately and it's been awhile since he's fought at 135, but he does still represent a step up for Davis imo. He does still have that jab, but I expect Davis to be far too quick for him in their fight.
5
@2:20 So DAMN CLEAN. You see guys get ht and they brace for the shot or maybe even roll with a bit, Fulton didn't do either. Just a FLUSH shot to the chin. And I'm pretty sure Kostya went to camp and trained to fight a guy with only a left hand because he looked like he had NO CLUE how to get out of the way of Phillips' right hand and, after the fight, he basically said it didn't matter what he did. He was going to get hit anyway.
5
Won a world championship as an underdog by knockout and he gave Venado a brain-bleed. That was an amazing performance.
5
@NeverGiveUp-ut9uu Yeah I saw him.
5
@rigovalentine The best one was Anthony Sims Jr. He was like 20-0, had a nice amateur background and Eddie Hearn had signed him. Also beat a guy named Izaak Cardona a few years back who didn't pan out really, but was a good amateur.
5
I was more impressed with Conlan in losing the Wood fight that I'd been with him in any of his wins, but listening this - more of the same Michael Conlan. I honestly think he should go down to 122 where he was headed before the Wood fight, I don't think he has great success against most world class featherweights, but let's see.
5
@user-bbuzzi Why does everyone always think someone is "ducking" someone else? I swear when people talk about boxing I hear the word 'ducking' more than I hear the word 'boxing'. Damn!
5
Felt bad for Coria in this one. Just so far out of his depths.
5
@vince11harris Yeah, you might be right. Gonzalez had already agreed once and he's fought there before and I believe the same ppl who handle Budler also handle the other champion as well. So that's a good sign.
5
I don't even understand all of that. This is a good fight and I agree with her about Choi, not stripping her, but she definitely should come out and play more often. I got Mayer by decision.
4
@alvindavis4158 Whoever designed Salvador Sanchez was done. They gave him absolutely everything they needed to as a fighter. because he could do absolutely everything and he had another GEAR when he needed it. If there wasn't separation between him and his opponent, he created it. I don't know if I'd call that a matter of IQ, maybe, but for me I remember SS as the finished product.
4
@ No. Morrell isn't the biggest 175er and Jalolov is a massive, 6'6, 6'7 heavyweight.
4
These lists are limited to fighters they have footage of. Jorge Arce, himself, would not say he was better than Salvador Sanchez.
4
Don't know if I've ever seen a little documentary-styled feature like this one refs. Very interesting.
4
That bodyshot Muratalla landed was just gross! Didn't like the stoppage in the Bentley - Ball fight tbh.
4
I think Shaw has a very good chance at winning this fight. Ajagba's strong, surely, but I think his power might be a bit overrated and he's predictable, you pretty much always know what's coming from him. Hopefully the winner of this one gets Jared Anderson, now that he has some numbers on him.
4
@javierreyescardona4915 We'll see who's the best. It's a really good fight.
4
I agree. It's like they negotiated the second fight at the same time as the first one. Had nothing left to do but sign the papers and show up.
4
There is no way that fight happens, but I completely agree with you. That would be an awesome prospect v prospect fight.
4
Joet only deserves to be champion if he can win a championship.
4
Navarrete - Baez should be a really good fight.
4
Think Donaire working on a comeback this year. HOF will have to wait.
4
@decidingpaper6324 Yeah. You'd pick Vianello.... especially since their first fight is still the most recent fight for Rice. Been out like a year and a half.
4
@Duel1982 Done well for himself hasn't he, Nathan? Also looked after Hekkie.
4
@jamilakhtar8889 Well that's true I do think his skills are underrated, but he's not invincible. He's been hurt and dropped by lesser fighters than Yarde.
4
What?
4
@Sam_acemart I watched the fight.
4
Patterson was an excellent fighter. You could make the case that was Gatti's best win and he did it twice.
4
@TheUniversalBoxingEst. The WBA is on board. Muslim Gadzhimagomedov is their Bridgerweight champion now and he's their second one.
