Jarhead was a terrible movie, but the profound blueballing they did to everyone, rang true. They had us wound up like a $15 Rolex, to liberate Europe from the Nazis... and then the Iraqi army surrendered for a MRE and a bottle of water.

@jakubfabisiak9810 You mean the one with 5 shots, cut from multiple angles?
1
You the one killed our friend?

Im surprised she didn't mention Gemini 8, when talking about recovering from a spin. That was an actual near fatal incident involving exactly that.

About the most accurate depiction of war Ive seen, is the opening of Three Kings.

@adamstreetboyzz Trilogy of 3 hour films about whether or not you can smell a fart in your promask.

CIA officer rates: 'From all accounts..." I was Army intelligence and dealt with these and other 'people' all the time. We had a maxim - 'Truth cannot be told with lies, but lies can be told with the truth'.

Don't know why, but this video really makes me wanna punch someone.

@CarlosHugoPumaregaGarriga The Day After was pretty awful. But realism wasn't the point. It made its point very well when Reagan saw it. The most memorable part for me was the scenes from First Strike cut into it, going back and forth between the news casts saying that both sides were talking to deescalate and resolve the situation.

3:44 Silver Bullet! 😘

Im not going to judge Tom Cruise's shooting. He ran them like a plate rack.

This has aged like Zelensky

@davidpowers746 Hahaha I had coffee stains in Space War I. Thats exactly the kind of pedantic af nitpickery I would expect from your lot and I delight at seeing it. While I guess its technically plausible, I would've also picked on everyone rocking Trijis on M4s. I was out for awhile by then, but when I did NTM-I on the circuit in '05, most of the boom crew and engineers I saw were still banging A2s and iron

Checkout Bob Munden. He did that stuff with real guns and live ammo.
1
The cameras and alarms were already neutralized when they went into the bank, in HEAT.

The trailer scene in Miami Vice.

Its too keep kids from bashing each other's brains out, in the parking lot after school.

@deanwilliams433 'thousands of dead soldiers' CITATIONS NEEDED

@Katxune 'Drones' in the present context, are land warfare systems
1
@AGW99-df3yg Lancet is a 'loitering munition'. Even what people are referring to as 'drones' arent really drones, but RCA.

China's new carrier model uses EMALS just like the Ford. Their old models use steam, just like Nimitz. His remarks following this errant information about catapults tells the whole story - ((( p r o p a g a n d a ))) No actual analysis here, just 'Muruca best, China sucky sucky'

This video was way too short

Yes, you are.

Hollywood does not make gunfights look realistic. A realistic gunfight, is 3 or 4 people pulling on each other at 10 feet and everyone firing their gun empty over their shoulder as they run away.
1
@Larry Richards Are you having a stroke?
1
@Rufio1975 Well, looking cool is half the battle.

@jakubfabisiak9810 Bingo

@hubster4477 No. No, I wouldn't.

@Otter-Destruction Yep. They had to do several takes, to slow him down.

@pappy374 It illustrates the profound importance of a good holster... like Vincent's 😉

Pickpocket 'experts' are always the worst. They have a drastically overinflated perception of their craft. No, yu are not taking something off someone undetected. At best, you're lost in the crowd while the victim is looking around for who ripped them off. 'Pickpocket' magic acts are fake.

This guy would be great at Cinema Sins

As someone who has actually been in a fight, I am - 3/10

Of course, no one ever does the Duelists.

The best Lethal Weapon scene was the playground. That was actually pretty much right.

Terrible analyst. Applying 21st Century standards to Classical Antiquity. Shame

No Last Kingdom?

@Khawkenbhallz And I would expect this 'quickdraw' expert to accurately identify a 'thumb bust' or 'thumb buster', or 'buster' draw. So called, because his finger is already holding the trigger down and he just snaps the hammer with his thumb (like 'fanning'); if your timing or grip, or wrist strength is a little off, the recoil will rock the gun back and drive the hammer spur into the knuckle and 'bust your thumb'.

Hes hard, but fair

Magnum, but no Rockford.

Sigh... here we go again. The Leopard and Abrams both eject the turret and probably the Challenger as well. They're just so heavy they remain on top of the chassis. As seen in Syria with the Leopard 2, the issue is not a 'design flaw', its simply a matter of the ammunition type. If a magazine full of HE gets penetrated, its going up like Nagasaki no matter what kind of 'blowout' protection it has. The protection only applies to propellant burn, with kinetic rounds. The reason the tanks in Ukraine keep going up, is because theyre all loaded to the gills with HE ammo, because they're fighting soft skinned, light armored vehicles, dismounts and fighting positions; not other tanks. Theres plenty of videos of Russian tanks carrying kinetic rounds, taking critical hits and not exploding.

'Made fun of' Well, it would work or it wouldn't. Are you saying you'd make fun of someone getting injured? Not even skaters would do that.
