@robbraxmantech Yes, a contact list topic would be useful. (It's shameful how many people still don't even know about BCC when sending a group of emails!) You could cover backup in case the phone dies or we get a new phone...can we trust where we bought a new phone to not use our contact list during it's transfer? My contact list is duplicated on hard copy, and on my VOIP cordless "home" phone, and in a backup .vcf file.

yes, I do not like that hundred dollar bills in the USA have RFID tags. Someone will figure out how to read that you have RFID cash on you right now - so they can steal it.
2
@kilozulu9990 yeah, but you'll learn more if you watch the whole thing...
2
@ShunShines For instance, a "yubi key."
2
@robbraxmantech yes, I'm happy to use Brax.me instead. The chats on Brax.me are encrypted, and chats can include more than one other person.
2
Binge-watch this channel, going back two years or so - you can leave out the live streams if you want. You'll get a whole picture education on the subject. (Just be aware while watching that things change really fast in the tech world, so also the solutions have changed too.)
2
Oh, that's an interesting motive. That's unique and I hope your friends appreciate it.
2
That's part of the problem with a "normie" phone - it has apps that you CANNOT delete! It's a Good Thing you have never signed into these default apps!
2
Am thinking we might publish the notes we take in the comments...?
2
BytzVPN that Rob manages - it now has a server in India
2
@IFarmBugs No he wasn't "reading from FB." Rob Braxman left what he calls "Zuckbook" almost a decade ago.
2
contact tracing is only the indexing of what information MAGAFT has already been collecting on all of us with our state of health
2
Yes, I would appreciate info-graphics also. However, if you watch Rob's video shorts from two years ago, you get a course on personal data privacy. Rob introduces terms for terminology, adding onto the mass of it gradually so you understand the "lingo" as he goes along. Highly recommended.
2
yes, BraxMail takes a bit to learn to use it in a way that saves your privacy, but it's simple to use if you just use the Webmail version. Learn about it on Brax.me in the Community chat called BraxMail
2
yeah, they never did figure out how to prevent children from getting into adult areas of the Internet...
2
not true - people can be churchy-clean and still be targeted!
2
yes, well at least we know that the A.I. won't have an "emotional truth" that we need to take into account - or will it? A.I. "having its own agenda" in a way is an "emotional truth," isn't it? Our whole concept of "truth" has being challenged for some time! The way people react en masse is a brand of truth that is culturally variable, but very real =- as you imply.
2
@noeldeal8087 It doesn't work to profess you know The Truth on the basis that it's fact Because of Confirmation Bias, people won't believe YOU - no matter what you say or show your EDU and qualifications are. My point is that, for instance, let's say many people mistakenly assume "that snake could be poisonous," (when only one or two specific species are.) This mistaken fear and lack of knowledge about snakes means a very real consequence for how another rat-killing, non-poisonous snake is treated. So because "Everyone knows some snakes are dangerous," this means that a non-poisonous snake will be treated unfairly from the incompetence of no ability to identify if this particular snake is, in fact, a poisonous species or not.
2
Zuck is still collecting information about all of us, even those of us who have NEVER ever had a FB account. Their solution is to have us sign an agreement with FB to supposedly tell FB what to do with this information. Except, it just binds us to allow FB to have this info! How ironic.
2
@Jan Enemark learn more how the tech works and you'll feel better about that you're protecting yourself
2
Rob's last live stream that I just attended on Rumble (the Thurs before turkey day) was all about Brax3 and it's challenges for bringing a phone into the world.
2
You're right, technological design falls short of protecting privacy - when it COULD be designed into programs - it's not. However, Rob has collected an OPSEC of strategies to help protect user privacy that really do cut back on much of the problem. Much is free behavior change, such as taking your Real Name off and using nicknames only. Check out: Browser Isolation as a tactic. Legal protect isn't likely - because the people involved would have to LEARN technology to know what they're legislating about....and they won't or don't have the time for that.
2
@crazysquirrel9425 we used to call that - "sneaker network" Because it was done with your shoes and also it's kinda sneaky
2
@jeffpricefamily3905 Yes, especially if you're 18 right now, copyright your name as if you're Frank Sinatra and impose high $$ penalties for using it without your permission. Then they cannot name you as their "strawman." If you ever get to court and they refuse to recognize this, you can state that you're only cooperating "under duress", which makes all implied contracts invalid because they were coerced.
2
@MikeTyson2 startpage is not an app - it's an online search engine

If you're not a programmer - and you don't have a reliable template from another programmer who's degoogled your specific phone - you' re going to "brick your phone" while you're trying to learn how to degoogle it. How would you evaluate "reliable Template??! Check out the phone that Rob Braxman's degoogle list by looking in the brax.me phone FAQ and in the STORE on Brax.me. (If you can't afford Rob Braxman's prices in the "store," the cheapest deal is: you can buy a phone (on Rob's list) online that can be "OEM unlocked" (Rob coaches you how to check for this so you can have the seller check before he sends you the wrong phone.) Then you can send the phone to Rob for $130. degoogling. This approach will save you many, many hours of time and inevitable learning curve mistakes - and you'll end up with a very cool degoogled smartphone. There are pretty complete instructions on Brax.me for certain OEM unlocked phones - but none of them are "flip" phones. Join Brax.me and under "blogs" search in the hash tag section for: #degooglepluslinux to check this out.

Yes, let's hope we get a EMF event before this routine really gets going...

Here's how I protect myself: Don't use your credit/debit card to pay. Instead, connect to PayPal. To set up Paypal, connect to a bank "savings" account (one that you do not use for any other purpose.) (So you'd need to set that up at the bank before you setup Paypal.) Then when you want to buy - use only Paypal. Only transfer enough $$ in it to buy things right before you need to pay, (I do that by phone.) Otherwise, keep that account with only $5. or something minimal in it. that way, if PayPal ever gets compromised, the account you have connected to it only has $5.10 in it. (My Credit Union will not allow that $5. to be spent because it must be there to keep the account open.) Then at the bank/Credit Union, set up your accounts to refuse payment instead of providing "overdraft protection." You won't have to pay those high fees again and the "embarrassment" of having your payment refused I thought was an acceptable trade-off!

Well, YOU could make a studious outline of each video - Rob would be really happy about your efforts! Probably Rob would Pin it to the top so others could use it too. It could be part of your study of privacy, right?
2
yes, this is a "high content" channel and that's daunting to a causal viewer who wants to be "entertained" and not do anything about what they learn.
2
Good idea - and it may be our only option as the nets close on all of our possible options in the future.
2
Make sure it can be "OEM unlocked" by following the steps that are spelled out on brax.me>Privacy FAQ>"how to check for OEM unlocking." If the toggle choice is grayed out and cannot be unlocked, return the phone and get another that can be OEM unlocked. (Not merely "carrier unlocked.")
2
Please join us on Brax.me and help the rest of the crowd to catch up, OK?
2
No, Rob is in a boat.
2
access these features from a browser only.
2
I'm very pleased with my "de-googled" phone I got from Rob. But, pre-SIM installation, EVERY carrier told me my phone wouldn't work with their cell service! It worked fine of course. Login to Brax.me and select "STORE" in the main menu to see what phones are available. (Return if the phone you want isn't in stock right now.)
2
thanks for the history lesson - appreciated!
2
We have a spot on Brax.me where each of these videos have been typed out in a transcription so you can read what Rob is saying. If for some reason this video is one that doesn't have this feature, you could take notes and transcribe it for him? Doing so would teach you this content!! Plus, you would be doing something important for everyone else who might want to use this info. come to Brax.me - and search for the blog room called: #transcription
2
@KlodFather how awesome that you have a bunch of bright minds to support each other!! Hey, you could also have a private blog or chat on Brax.me to stay in touch and include other friends who don't live in Pittsburg
2
great tip - I'll use this! Thanks so much

@anthonybranco Of course, some places are worse than others. But, the justice system is set up to benefit from thievery, bribery and lying. It's legal for authorities to lie, and cops and bureaucrats are taught to lie in order to benefit. Example, research: "civil forfeiture." It's when cops claim your cash they happen to find that you have is connected to something illegal they invent and so the cops confiscate your money - and they keep it without any conviction. (Let's say, this cash you've got is to buy a car or a musical instrument & you can prove where it came from - that doesn't matter; the cops still take the cash if they 'find' it on you.) It takes too much proportionally to pay a lawyer to get your money returned. Some police departments DEPEND on keeping this type of money they stole from people illegally to fund their costs.

Yes, many don't know there's java programming script embedded in "like" icons that track what ANY user does on the page - despite there NOT being any corresponding membership on the original site. (discussed around 4:45 ) I've heard to "clear" this information being saved to Facebook, you MUST signup and AGREE to Facebook's Terms of Service - which gives FB it's required contractual permission. Talk about Hypocrisy!
2
Your location is still being tracked via hardware WiFi triangulation, because every "dumb phone" now has WiFi.
2
About a de-googled phone, I usually just explain "Wifi Triangulation" tracking. As far as "why bother, when you're not doing anything illegal?" My fave stuff to ask newbies are: I did not want an advertiser repeating what they hope what "must be" wrong with you, until your subconscious makes exactly that go haywire in agreement. Accounting for our every move - it's as if advertisers are our authoritarian parents or jealous about-to-be ex - I didn't enjoy being treated like a misbehaving teen. Also - how much faith do you have - given the ability to track our every move - that this will never ever get out of control, given how fast "fair" authorities can switch to being fascists?
2
@robbraxmantech please do an introductory how2 use Brax.me video again? Over time - things have changed on Brax.
2
The Graphenos people have hassled Rob, so he won't contribute to their OS.
2
Also, Rob has put into place indirect indication that his VPN has been compromised and no longer is safe as advertised.
2
@terrydaktyllus1320 yes, there must be many situations where people who prosecute and WIN their case concerning a leak MUST accept non-disclosure as part of their award. Not advertising how you won your case is a common legal constraint...
2
It appears we've already gone beyond George Orwell's 1984 warnings
2
yeah, and I happened to get a laptop with version of Win 11 with "S" version on it. I couldn't log into Microsoft to turn off this feature that restricts all downloads of programs from the Microsoft Store. I packaged up the laptop I bought and returned it. Why go through the hassle?
