Their trolls flag our posts, which then puts us on the automoderation system's shitlist, but officially, we're technically not in timeout ๐ฎโ๐จ
I've been dealing with it for about a year now. You have to REALLY tiptoe on eggshells. Use vague references to people and places (I say Pudding Pants, Ruz, and Ukr; don't use their flags), and instead say things like "unalived", etc etc.
Further tips:
- Copy your Replies before posting, as they won't be visible to copy of they get hidden (they're actually not removed, just publicly invisible)
- Exit that comment thread, wait 2 minutes and then go back in; if it's there still, everyone can see it.
- If you're making a standalone comment, wait 45 seconds and then click on it; if it gives you an "Error loading comment" it's hidden, otherwise it's visible. IF hidden, edit it, copy the comment, cancel and start a new comment. Make minor edits to it to remove any buzzwords, then try again and repeat the steps.
- If you notice COMPLETELY unrelated comments being removed elsewhere around YT (ie places unrelated to politics, news, world events), copy your comment, copy the video link, and send a YT Feedback. Give them the video link (for context), tell them your comment was removed without merit, and paste the comment for them to see. This won't do anything, BUT I've made it a mission to annoy the hell out of them with EVERY SINGLE COMMENT OF MINE THEY REMOVE! Some days they'll get a handful of feedbacks... Others, more. ๐ (I have noticed it's been a LITTLE better for me since I started doing this, but I doubt they're reinstating the comment; I usually made corrections and reposted it anyways, telling them what minor change allowed it to remain visible)
Welcome to the club. ๐ป โฅ๏ธ โ๏ธ

Reminds me of the "ARCHER: 1999" season of the show Archer, and one of the episodes features a sentient doomsday device, who was aptly called Mr. Deadly ๐
"I would like to explode at the earliest opportunity."
"The sole aim of my being is to explode."
The whole episode was him trying to convince someone to ask him to detonate (as he can't do it himself). He was even having a conversation, via pheromones, with a butterfly and asked if it would ask him to explode ๐
Mr Deadly: The butterfly. A remarkable illustration of the capacity of living things... to change.
Lana: Hey, is that something you think you might be able to... What's going on, bud?
Mr Deadly: Oh, I'm conversing with the butterfly via pheromones. I just asked it to say, "Please detonate."
Lana: I thought you weren't gonna try to explode!
Mr Deadly: That's not... anything I said.
Mr Deadly: Anyway, it was a hard pass. Much more foul-mouthed than I expected.
Mr Deadly: Same to you, you bastard! <shakes fist>
Archer: <sarcastically> Well, then I guess we're safe.
Sorry... It's just a great show, and episode! Makes me chuckle just reading the transcript ๐

Scratch another very important bird!!! ๐ค๐ช
Great news, paving the way for safer skies, even before their new toys take flight this summer! ๐ Well done, boys... well done... ๐๐
[YT's automated moderation algorithm thinks I'm a horrible person and basically removes half of my comments, even ones in jest on comedy channels. I've basically given up commenting entirely but this news deserved praising our guys; however, this is why I've worded the above the way I did, to not give their algorithm any reason to silence my praise of their work. Hopefully those hearts get a pass, as using them before was enough to do one of my comments in, but that's also why I've foregone my typical glory related sign-off message. ๐ (and yes, I've contacted YT about this about half a dozen times in the last few months, to no avail)]

Zelenskyy is a very smart individual (any who claim otherwise it's a hater or a troll), and I can honestly see this move it trying to court China, solely as a way to coax some Western countries into contributing more to this effort. At the end of the day, way more COULD be contributed, than is being... basically, current contributions are slightly above "bare minimum" in my opinion.
So if saying they're willing to get in bed with China, lights a fire under our counties' collective asses, then I say bravo! ๐๐ ๐
Talk is cheap, and at the end of the day, even if China DOES offer support (regardless of the type; monetary or physical goods), Zelenskyy can always refuse it for <insert polite reason>!

Scuttlebutt is, that the cluster munitions are more for their bomblettes, than as a delivery method... That they want to replace the RPG warheads on drones with these, which would be smart. (apparently these bomblettes have more penetration power)
Even if they didn't want to do that, they don't have to worry about repercussions about using the cluster munitions, based on what I've read regarding banned weapons (the Wiki pages on the treaties).
Because what's stated is that if any participant in a skirmish decides to use banned munitions, that immediately unlocks the other party/ies ability to use them in kind.
As such, Russia has already unlocked the use of cluster munitions, white phosphorous, flechettes and chemical (gas) if early rumors of their use are true. (and I'm sure they are, since interviewed civilians had stated troubles breathing)

Worth mentioning is that TACTICAL nukes are low-yield, useful for leveling towns /neighborhoods at its largest, not an entire large-city.
So yea, it's certainly only symbolic.
Also, 'dumb' cluster munitions, from what I've read, are NOT banned by any nation UNLESS they are being used in civilian populated areas.
Ideally, cluster munitions would be filled with lots of small Smart munitions, which can be instructed to hit precise locations.
RUSSIA does not use such munitions, and that's what makes their usage of them, a war-crime, due to using them in areas that are still populated by civilians. (of course, Ruskie logic seems to be: anyone still residing within the country they're attacking, is thereby considered a hostile, and fair game ๐)

My new interpretation on the timeframe on F-16s, is not that the pilots need to undergo English lessons, but probably the ground crew who will...
The amount of English inside the cockpit is probably minimal and well-understood already; HOWEVER, the amount of English inside the repair manuals is probably extensive!
I suspect there's validity to the holdup, but that the reports on said holdup is focused too heavily on minor details, overplaying their significance, thereby clouding the true reasoning.
Now, whether that's an OpSec play, or, the media being the media...... ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I feel the odds there are firmly 50|50, and it could be either.

I agree with Jacek... It should've been removed from their skies. It's NOT escalating anything by doing so. It was in violation and as such, would be removed. Yes, it's obvious where it was going, BUT, they can't say with 100% certainty it was actually headed to UKR...
Had it veered off course and taken out a border checkpoint, would they still not do anything in order to, once again, not escalate things?? Where do they draw the line?? ๐ฎโ๐จ
Next week it might be 3 CM... well they also be ignored and allowed to continue on through? This very sort of continual inaction is what makes Puddin Pants feel like he can do whatever he wants, whenever, wherever... ๐
Rest assured, if any Western country did that over you-know-where's skies, THEY would've taken that very same thing as an act of aggression, and the gloves would've been off at that point!
(apologies for the vaguely worded maybe, but hopefully in doing so the automoderation system won't remove this comment, as it is want to do lately...)
