@KayAteChef Here here. Focusing on what has been really important.
3
Time to start the culling of the idiots I guess.😆
3
It’s all just absolute rioting heavy-handed craziness. This man also in the majority of his time gave a lot of money to the city including building schools and hospitals for Bristol. Tearing down the statue is not going to change the fact that city is better that he was there than not at all.
3
They better bloody well do this, otherwise these generals are screwed. They aren’t going to win this one, so the best they can do is lower the damage they are doing to themselves. Let democracy return to Myanmar.
3
That’s exactly right. Information can no longer be contained. It’s not like China after all where they can almost keep everything self enclosed on their own personal social media networks. Everything is global and everyone is communicating through the invisible web between everyone on the planet whilst Putin and his cronies are living within the limited realm of the real world battlefield where they don’t have near the interconnected information exchange that the general public have now. They cannot hide the truth anymore. This is the new and rather unexpected reality of what a 21st-century international war looks like.
3
It really feels like sometimes they don’t seem to realise when is an appropriate time to smile or not. And in answer to your question, it was the right time to take out Putin years ago, let alone 2014 or after February 24.
3
My words. Never felt so sorry for a politician in my life. ‘Weeell...apart from Thatcher’.
3
I couldn’t agree more. It is always sad to hear that one of your own nationals has died in the face of the enemy, but he still went by choice and did it because he knew it was the right thing to do, and we may never know how many people are alive today thanks to what he and so many other international volunteers and Ukrainian soldiers did and we can all honour him for that.
3
Exactly. We still have many more that we weren’t planning to upgrade that we need to give to Ukraine. I think there are about 20 or 30 more Challenger 2s we can give to Ukraine apart from the ones that are already planned.
3
Here here. There is definitely corruption with contracts here. That’s definitely why we should be looking to more free-market individuals actually in the UK, who can do the work just as well for much cheaper prices that aren’t relying on their name brand reputation to charge as much as they want for new pieces of equipment.
3
And an absolute nightmare.
3
Frankly it looks better than it did before.😆
3
@Turbo999be Kiev and Ukrainian culture may feel more disconnected from what are considered the more typical old European cultures, but it’s still definitely has the distinct feeling amongst its people of still being one of us and they are still very much Europeans.
3
@adamlee2550 Here here. Anglo and Imperial and European histories are just as rich and incredibly important as African, Asian or majority Muslim nations and people shouldn’t feel some sort of obligation to hate it or feel threatened by it. It has just as much right to exist as anything else and people who hate on native and mixed British histories are just as guilty as what they claim somehow Caucasian people to be.
3
I beg to differ my friend. NATO exercises are quite regular, but this one is definitely in preparation to counteract Russia.
3
Absolutely. These are the risks in war that happen. This is the reality, and we need to help Ukraine win it.
3
Couldn’t agree more.
3
That’s why we’ve critically got to make sure we do things differently this time.
2
Totally on point. If we say we're going to do it, then just bloody well DO IT. Don't just sit around talking about it.
2
On point sadly. Their doubling down on the status quo and escalating it just makes things worse. They need to for ONCE do things ‘genuinely’ differently.
2
It’s such absolute hypocrisy.
2
I know right. From the way we look at it in history it feels like it was much further back than that.
2
One of the few things right now Elon is doing right. Let’s go back to the moon. And this time, we’re staying.
2
I couldn’t agree more. From what is happening in Mariupol right now, this should’ve been the final straw days ago for us to finally get more involved than we currently are. At the very least sending over as many fighter jets as Ukraine has pilots for. Let alone NATO actually getting directly involved.
2
Kevin Smithwick I find that offensive.
2
Definitely agree there.
2
This is a beautiful design. Love that it's also solar powered. We've really come a long way. Wish her the best of luck on her journey.
2
Same here. It would be a great moment to remember.
2
He said at the end “to get back to normal.” What on earth is normal these days.
2
@matt_thomas Exactly. Nothing but small minded people living in the past, who don’t seem to realise that this technology needs to stay dead and buried, and it needs to be buried everywhere else.
2
@joesteel7409 Exactly. what the hell is wrong with these people. Why on earth are they wearing their ‘statements’ that they wouldn’t want to fight for their country (even though a conflict reaching our land would endanger their friends and family in the long-term) ‘like a badge of honour’. I do believe, or at least I dearly do hope, that when the moment comes, I will protect my nation in the armed forces or as part of the MOD in any way I can.
2
@heywatchme101 It’s coming people, whether we like it or NOT. Best just make the most of it and BE READY. Dragging our feet is only going to make things worse.
2
@IrishLadASMR Ooookay mate let’s not bring that here. The situation is completely different and doesn’t count as an occupation in Ireland will it is still a very much distinctly different country that is happy with being a part of Britain. Sure we are fine with Ireland being the way it is but if anything we find it not fair that Northern Ireland has to make such a small part when it would be fairer to be more split down the middle with greater cooperation. Or at the very least the channel tunnel between the two islands. But let’s not bring that up right now. We can agree on right now is that very much Ukraine is an independent nation and unlike with Britain, Ukraine may very well have actually come first and deserves more so to be an independent nation than Putin ever would dare admit. .
2
@oluwasolataiwo5860 No he didn’t. He did exactly the right thing for his people in the end. It’s better to die fighting for the cause of freedom and democracy then living under suppression.
2
@jennystevens5982 Thankfully that indeed does seem to be the case. The president has put out the call for people in other countries to come and help, and the UK government isn’t it seems blocking individuals from doing so, neither do some other European nations as far as we can see. If America would allow people to do the same though, it would make a huge difference. Apparently some though are planning to do so as militias travelling into the country via Poland.
2
The fact that the streets are so quiet now, basically zero cars in many areas and less disreputable people out and about is definitely a plus. Everything just feels so clean and fresh now.Like a blank canvas. I just hope when it comes to painting on it again it turns out more like a Turner peace rather than a Jackson Pollock.
2
Well this is quite a disaster. What a huge waste of money and resources. Let alone the lives lost. I cannot believe after all this time preparing the local forces that they fell to the Taliban so easily. I’ve got to say though, it is still quite impressive that the Taliban are being so open about this in both showing them the new take on hardware and answering their questions. Looks like they seem to have indeed taken on a lot of new tactics and opinions.
2
This was a really good honest talk here. certainly a lot to think about. We in the West reeeeally have to do a lot more. Both in Ukraine to help with Ammo and other supplies AND with our own that soo SOO LOW even before the war expanded last year.
2
That is preposterous. We can not allow this to happen. We already have very little of the new F-35 B variant as it is, let alone diverting the still to come supply to the A version for the RAF. We need to be able to show that we can equip our new carriers to full capacity.
2
That statement just made me feel sick to my stomach.
2
Very much so. After all of this we are definitely going to have to address the issue with China even more seriously to prevent another event like this from happening again but even worse.
2
I honestly do agree with that. We need to include British troops in there from here too.
2
S1lent Toad Yeah but it’s still no way near what we need to cut. We need to be cutting humanity in the billions right now.
2
Let us hope this is a time of change coming to Britain now too.
2
@oknevals Well, that isn’t true at all. They absolutely have the necessary range considering where the home base usually is which is most of the time well within range of the batteries. Also, this is what is being done Ukraine right now and has been done so since near the start of February to great affect.
2
@limedickandrew6016 What? We actually have video footage of them using them from that time!
2
Sean Murray Rothbard ‘Not if it was done be the forces or police’.
2
Would be quite amazing if we actually turned the tables on them after they recruited us.😆👌🏼
2
We are not throwing them away. These are necessary. Remember, even in terms of war they have to be sacrifices. Didn’t hear the people of world War one and two complaining like this. They may have grumbled, but never complained. They understood what needed to be done.
2
Fredster 1304 We can only hope they do this in time, so it doesn’t become too firmly entrenched in the army’s mindset.
