Fredster 1304 We can only hope they do this in time, so it doesn’t become too firmly entrenched in the army’s mindset.

HERE HERE 🥳
2
Exactly. we have all been screaming for months now that we should’ve been doing more. Including a no-fly zone. And even if that meant getting involved, why the hell not. There is a principle involved and frankly we’ve been neglecting our principles for a very long time.
2
And that doesn’t take into account all the species that’ve probably gone extinct as a result of this as well.😰😭
2
Definitely. Wealth is definitely more of the divide than race in this country than what feels like anything else.
2
This joke is getting a little bit worn out now. I genuinely believe that Boris Johnson is the right man for the job, but not when it comes to the economy, but actually leading the nation in terms of a national crisis like this when it comes to an outside force. Much like Churchill in a way really.
2
Well I can’t really blame them seeing as the threat is genuinely there and we seem to be completely unprepared for it.
2
Well she certainly shouldn’t be. This is an absolute tragedy for the environment if they are allowed to expand. Thank goodness governments have to give permission for this kind of thing.
2
It is truly beyond amazing.
2
Honestly, although I think we can all agree we hate the CCP, we cannot deny that with the way China is run, it was the best way to fight the virus and they have done an incredible job at it. In a way it reminds me a lot of how the USSR dealt with the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, even though they caused the disaster for themselves in the first place. I can’t really imagine a western government like France, the UK or the US following such strict commands and adjusting to new norms and technology like this to curb the spread. If every country was like this but still remained democratic the world would be a much better place.
2
@photios4779 This is definitely what we desperately need to do. We should at least be giving Ukraine some helicopters even if they are non-military models. At least they could just drop off some supplies overnight if needed. Considering the risk to the pilots versus the weapons they could get in there to help hold the Russians back a little longer it would still be worth it. We have been such wussies and it is humiliating.

Eloquent

@Sammy1234568910 absolutely. That is of course so long as those people who want to join or actually physically able to do the work. In which case of course, women shouldn’t be allowed to join certain areas of the army. Certainly not frontline infantry work, unless they are actually quite uniquely, physically capable of doing the same workload. Absolutely cannot have standards lowered for individuals. Yes, perhaps have the option open to them, but if they clearly can’t physically do it from the get go, they shouldn’t be allowed to join. That should be the same for any man trying to join as well.
2
Exactly. Our only option now to fix all of this is to cut our population DRASTICALLY.
2
陈乐水 Of courseThere is. It doesn’t matter if it is an internal affairs. What’s wrong is wrong. We are all humans and therefore anything being done to humans that is wrong is everyone’s business. Plus Hong Kong is a former British territory, and we proceeded over the negotiations that led to the one nation to systems policy. Therefore, if something is going wrong then it is still partially our responsibility to make sure that the status quo, as is desired by the Hong Kong people is continued despite what the lying selfish other side might think.

nagualdesign Like they said right here in this news report, and has been said for a very long time now. There is no reasonable competitor against Huawei, there isn’t really anyone on the board right now poised to make billions from this deal except for China itself. Anything just happening all of a sudden. China has been doing this for decades, it’s just that everything now has finally reached breaking point. And about time too. We should’ve dealt with China years ago before they became the economic powerhouse they are today. With everything they have now, it’s going to be even harder to convince them that democracy is the true way forward without their government continuously censoring and lying to them.
2
I guess we have no choice then. It’s time to wipe them both out.😆🤬😡
2
I know, IT’S ABSOLUTELY GLORIOUS RIGHT.🥰 If only it could remain this way every season, EVERY YEAR.
2
@rusty2629 They’re volunteering so there’s no money in it.
2
Exactly the same everywhere I can see in Dorset. Absolutely no snow anywhere. We only had one nice blanket of snow a few weeks ago but it quickly left the day later.😞😆
2
Thank goodness she’s out.
2
Terrible news. It shouldn’t go ahead. They will ruin the day.😰
2
Not politics. This is a fight between good and evil. And either way, they still always meet heads of state.
2
I couldn’t agree more. No more holding things back.
2
These people really are just like any of us. We could be in the very same position as them right now if it wasn't for where we were born. And now they're fighting for their lives, freedom and democracy. They will win this...NOT RUSSIA. They will pay for every bit of land they're ruining with their very presence. SLAVA UKRAINE.
2
Exactly. They are just trying to protect their own assets here. It’s pathetic.
2
It is definitely small, but it is definitely a good first start. And we can only hope A MAKE SURE it is the first of many others to come.
2
Doubt they’ll ever get that.
2
Well for starters the $1 million per event giveaway was almost framed to say it was given to people who were only ‘selected’ at the event, but it was actually a random vote of all the people that attended so the decision wasn’t bias over one person or another. That is of course unless they were already fairly well off in which case probably could’ve removed their names.
2
Here here. It’s times like these that he seems to really come into his own. Much like Churchill in many ways. He was a better wartime crisis prime minister than he was in peacetime. He still has a long way to go but definitely on the right path.
2
Thanks for that. Totally agree.
2
Now THIS is exactly what we need to be seeing right now. We should’ve had this three years ago. We need to get moving on this.
2
I know Harry and Megan have screwed up quite a bit here, but I don’t think they have to lose this much in order to go over to Canada.
2
Probably yes. Won’t last long when the rich can’t get what they want.
2
Yes there have been many places like this all over Ukraine and in other close by countries now who're trying to help. People even volunteering to walk and take care of the animals where they can. They should definitely though include more links for people to donate where possible.
2
Yeah they did a reeeally good job here.
2
Nick X I couldn’t have put it better myself.
2
@crucial3267 Hardly. Especially as they actually say muuuuch less than celebrities or politicians out there. They are just doing there duty and that deserve reward.
2
Yep… pretty much. Never noticed her I think in my entire life. How is this person expected now then to lead the Tory party?
2
That really was just brilliant. A very good thing to fling back considering that gun may be ancient by modern standards, but a bullet is still a bullet, and a human body is still a human body. For all our advances, this still has not changed. Plus it makes sense to use what they’ve got, as apparently they’ve got several hundred of these anyway.
2
Let’s just hope we actually do as they mentioned in parliament today and we don’t end up just treating this as the new norm and get desensitised to it and stop caring again. We actually need to keep bloody well caring otherwise nothing will ever change.
2
The best thing we can do is hope really that a lot of us who are protesting and are still in education but might be graduating this year will be able to head over there the instant it happens and actually physically help once summer starts. I know I for one want to try and head over there to either do supply transports or perhaps actually volunteer myself.
2
To help save Ukraine...duuuuuh.
2
@SNOWDONTRYFAN Here here. A number of soldiers for our country is getting embarrassing now. Even though the Navy is finally getting an increase, it is still worrying that we will have to wait a while before we get all of the necessary aircraft, as we have gone and cancelled some of the orders of F35s to develop our Tempest variant. Fingers crossed they will ‘at least’ be as advanced. This’s still no substitute though for our necessary landforces.
2
@shimmy7169 Here here
2
Brilliant words from this man. This was a perfect report and absolutely encapsulates the whole reality of the situation.
2
We all must keep helping no matter what if this fight is to be completely won. UA+UK
2
Well, good luck to Mali. Seems like this was the right thing to do.
2
Rock on Ukraine. This’s great tactics here. More ships down for the count. Slava Ukraine
2
Sorry but that sounds like a child’s speech. War has been going on really in Ukraine for several years now. We are only just properly starting to get involved as Russia escalates it.
