The guy with all the money though? Can just declare bankruptcy, liquidate assets. Already owns his home outright, can't be kicked out by a landlord. So my question to you is: Why should workers accept this horseshit?

  18. There's actually a word for that - "accelerationism". There's a reason why communists rarely support this doctrine: When capitalism enters a crisis, it doesn't just disappear and make way for communism. It does everything it possibly can to sustain itself, and historically speaking that usually ends up in fascism. So if we go full capitalism and bring the end about faster, we're just giving ourselves less time to prepare for death squads and mass incarceration. (Also where are you seeing these corrections lmao)

  30. There's nothing efficent about what you described. Efficiency would be developing a public transport network. Anyway, this is a contradiction because capitalism demands profit growth. The only reason people are investing in electric cars is because they expect to get all that money back, and more. But as Marx proved, it becomes harder and harder to make that money back. So eventually, there won't be money for 'new markets'. Not unless you convince investors to throw their money away.

  35. China is in a weird position but I feel confident that China is definitely capitalist despite having inherited a Socialist legacy. It acts at the behest of its own capitalist class and doesn't seem interested in pursuing Socialism despite having all the tools that would enable it to do so. I'd dearly love to be wrong on this, as a China trending towards Socialism would be much better for the world, but this is how I see it.

We had the choice between killing people and saving people, and what happened? Only the market makes this possible, only the market makes any of this worth doing. And what does the market give us in return? Nothing! It can't even sustain itself! It's only been 12 years since the worst recession and we're heading into another one! If you think this is functional, if you think this is worth keeping - you are an extremist. Not a socialist.

  45. Poverty is actually getting worse, not better. Take a look at literally any developed capitalist nation. Notice any trends? Notice that homelessness is going up? Notice that people are increasingly relying on charities just to eat? Notice that standards of living are going down, costs are going up but wages don't increase as much? And that's just within those nations, the same countries are making life much, much worse elsewhere in the world. But what about your (uncited) statistic? Well Ricky I am sorry, but the people who tell you that poverty is decreasing are also the ones who defined what 'poverty' is. So they just pick a definition that allows them to say its going down (in this case, they decided anybody who gets more than $1.90 a day isn't in poverty.) So no, capitalism doesn't actually work. At all. It is wholly dysfunctional.
