  28. ..I would add, the variant AFTER Delta, Mu, does not appear to be nearly as infectious or damaging as the original virus strain... so it seems to be moving in a "good" direction. at this rate, it will just be another flu to add to the yearly flu shot in about 2-3 years. fingers crossed. but delta still reigns supreme at the moment, and it is very damaging. please get your vaccine shots. even the original pfizer vaccine gives you 60% resistance to infection, and 75% protection from dangerous side effects of COVID... like death.

I've lived in NZ for over 12 years, and have paid hospital costs as both a resident AND nonresident. even paying full cost for medical treatment here, it is less than 10% of what it is in the States. As a resident, I pay 15.00 per GP visit. and don't forget prescriptions cost 10.00 max and refills are usually free. the GPs here are exactly the same level of crap they are in the US. exactly. I've never had to wait for ANYTHING. was just at welly hospital two weeks ago and there was no line for either bloodtesting (free) or xray (free). overall the medical system here is an order of magnitude better than it is in the states.

  49. nope. and neither is wood alcohol (methanol). only ethanol can be consumed relatively safely. other factoids: "proof" is roughly twice the concentration of pure ethanol in a drink. so if you buy rum that says it is 80 proof, it is 40% pure ethanol by volume.
