@bikinibabes666 Yeah, it's unbelievable. Early on, I wondered if little Maddie had gotten hurt and maybe even died because of the sleeping medication they were given. It's honestly unconscionable.
2
@rossblack9559 It was on the documentary. The reporter actually walked the way they would go every day from the restaurant. It wasn't a straight shot. If I remember correctly, you had to go around the back from the street.
2
Okay, now who is willing to take back all the crap they said about local police??
2
She couldn't wipe the smile off her face. She didn't seem believable to me.
2
If this guy is proven to be the killer, I'd like to see anyone who has the balls admit they jumped to conclusions when they "just knew" someone else did it - the roommates, "hoodie guy", Jeremy the neighbor, Joe at the food truck, the ex, etc.
2
@Desaree1 That's not how it works though. While it might be a possibility, claiming something like a kidnapping has to first start with evidence. So far, at least two pieces of evidence have pointed away from kidnapping.
2
@vjhreeves That's why I was confused. It's a very simple test. 🤔
2
Well, their reactions speak volumes.
2
@Drew2Fast It's not generally a popular thing to state. 😐
2
@Jennifer Cashman Yours was one of the few logical guesses. Props to you for not making wild assumptions like almost everyone else. I'm with you - we'll know more later, after the toxicology report and any other evidence is made public.
2
Same. We care more.
2
Come on, people. Use your brains. This is obviously not the whole story. Crysta was at a bar for 21 and over and told John that she was in her 20s. Why should he assume she was lying? They had consensual sex (as far as he knew) and she did not tell him about the child for 6 years. There are very good reasons she lost total custody of her child. Do you really believe it was because she gave her a cell phone? Come on. Hopefully none of you will ever end up on a jury seeing as you all assume she's telling the truth and you're hearing the whole story. If you question this, watch the video back and listen carefully to exactly how she answers the questions. The other lady is not an attorney, by the way. She's just an advocate. Shame on this reporter for pretending she isn't smarter than that.
2
What a confusing report. I still don't understand how it happened. 🤷🏼♀️
2
Reporter: ...the same night her and her husband had an argument. Why is this particular grammatical error so prevalent these days? I see college graduates, teachers, and professionals of all kinds making this same basic mistake.
2
@lorimc67 Well, you've been a pleasure to chat with. 🙂 I have a recommendation for you now. 😁 If you aren't familiar with him, check out Arrin Stoner. He's a natural detective who breaks down video footage evidence in different cases, hoping to get them solved. You might want to start with his first case - Steven Koecher. Either that or the Missy Beavers or Elizabeth Barraza cases. I'd love to know what you think. I've never seen another YouTuber do what he does.
2
@DMalltheway 👍 I just hope it's enough to put them away. I don't normally jump to conclusions in murder cases, but this one seems very obvious. That being said, there should still be a fair trial.
2
Cody Teague What do you consider "bullcrap charges"? Theft, burglary, selling drugs, DUI??
2
That's not necessarily the case, especially when hyperreligiosity is involved. People who hold those beliefs truly think they are working for God and against the devil in real time. There is no way they're going to let anyone "of the world" in on their secret powers.
2
@NoName-ml5yk Oh my gosh! You had me going for a second there. You're funny! 😂
2
It's a kind gesture, but unfortunately does not make a difference. 💔
2
This is heartbreaking. I can't even imagine asking her questions. She was a little pushy, but I guess that's her job. I thought it was a known thing that the roommates ran out of the house after seeing Ethan's body. One of them was on the phone with 911 when she fainted and a neighbor finished the call, saying that she was unconscious. Can anyone confirm that? I don't remember where I heard that, but it wasn't Reddit.
2
I believe that many was found and he was carrying his own child.
2
@Makeuploveculture Every unsolved case is heartbreaking and any kind of closure is at least better than not knowing at all. 💔
2
@philsurtees All I said was that would be a lot of bad luck. And sure, some people have good luck and some people have bad luck, but to see so many deaths surrounding one family is odd.
2
What are you suggesting is "incompetent"? The fact that one guy said that he thought maybe Maddie was referring to Kaylee when mentioning a stalker? We really don't know anything at all.
2
Except it's not. In this case, that might have been the driving force, but murder is committed for many other reasons - control, revenge, to shut people up...
2
I hate to state the obvious, but God didn't watch over him in the first place, but just allowed him to nearly be killed.
2
@user-fd9sz8er1r Well, it's simply not a true statement, but I understand the sentiment. I feel for the families that never get any kind of justice.
2
@angiedantuono3503 I'm not sure that matters in this case. She was seen buying a gun, parking, and getting out of the car by herself.
2
Seriously. Unbelievable. N
2
Well, you're normal and they clearly aren't.
2
@Heather_Morgan I just saw a quote that said they're giving the family a couple of days to gather themselves before making a public statement.
2
"God" didn't take care of her in the first place. He let it all happen. It takes humans to help children like this. 💔💔💔
2
@tarledamanley2832 Very likely. But people would rather blindly believe one side of the story.
2
@bambilackner That's just silly to say. You're just starting unnecessary conflict by making unfounded claims. Have you seen the data in child neglect cases? You might want to start there. One single case does not mean it's a regular occurrence.
2
@cerealoffender9530 Definitely not 15 years ago. I grew up in the 1960s and there's no way my parents left us alone. No one I know did either. And yes, their friends are equally neglectful parents. That was not normal by and standard in the 2000s.
2
This is horrible, but funny - one comment said: The toddler was heard yelling, "This is MAGA country!" 😂
1
No, not always. However, in this case, it seems to have happened... thankfully.
1
@frankcastle7299 That is such a silly thing to say. While having a good defense team can help, that doesn't mean wealthy people are found not guilty. There are a lot of factors to consider in a trial - evidence, criminal past, attorneys, jury, judge, etc. It's rarely ever the defendant's income.
1
@dextermoore278 What are you suggesting they were involved in and where did that information come from? I hadn't heard anything about that.
1
@KS-hi8vi You have no idea. According to the police chief, he's been in daily contact with all the victims' families. Sorry to say, but there's good reason not to share details as they were all over the media. The police are committed to getting the killer convicted. It's just way to risky to share too much information.
1
What violation?
1
Why are you assuming you've heard the whole story? Rewatch the video and listen carefully to how she answers the questions.
1
@deniseganey6890 There is way more to the story. Why is everyone assuming Crysta is being honest and that they know the whole story based off of one short YouTube video?!
1
@ToniHunterOne I watched several videos about this case. There is way more to the story. I'm not suggesting I know exactly what happened, but she is not being totally forthcoming here.
1
Not only is this young man impressive, but so was the reporter. She was pretty perfect, which is so rare. She asked clear, appropriate questions, responded well, and kept the focus on her guest. Nice job to both of them. This indigent young man is already successful at life. Maybe he can look into ways of improving fire prevention, which isn't utilized enough. Many of these fires wouldn't be as devastating as they are if appropriate preventative measures were taken ahead of time.
1
Right?
1
A deadbolt and window locks...and yeah, a gun.
1
Absolutely crazy weather! Wow! These guys are heroes, and I don't say that lightly. It's snowing, and he's out there in a t-shirt. Lol
1
It's interesting how ALL of these TV personalities, celebrities, and politicians have been comparing Trump to Hitler for 8 years, but are now acting surprised that their words had an impact. 🙄🙄🙄
