Cars are an extremely minor aspect of emissions. The big parts (that are unnecessary; cargo ships are bad but technically pretty efficient) are planes/private jets, cruise ships, yachts, coal plants, mines, big industrial farms (referring to cows stuff specifically), and military shit (vehicles, explosives, all of it; the bombing of the Gaza strip has I believe contributed more to emissions than the entire last year or something to that effect). They pushed marketing to make everyone believe it's supposedly the average person's fault, and while people in the West do use way more of everything than is proportionally fair, it's incredibly minor compared to what the actual polluters do.
