  30. This whole side issue about guns is just Hillary's way to try to get above Bernie on one issue. The problem is that the gun issue is wedged tight and only moves a little bit over time. The issue with guns is that it is a Constitutional right. It is not going away. So, the point is that the gun issue is not a major issue in America. Yes, when there is a shooting it is terrible, still, it is not as important as ... Inequality Health Care Education The shrinking Middle Class Global Warming Money in Politics There are so many more important ideas that if we take care of will lead to there being less gun violence. When people live and grow up in a happy, fair, well-adjusted society they will not want to murder other people, or commit crimes. It's really dishonest of Hillary to make this election about guns, because it implies that she only cares about tricks to make herself look good, not honesty, sincerity. In her life Hillary has been a team player, playing for the most right-wing Democrats, that is - her husband Bill Clinton. Then it was Henry Kissinger. She is all about corporate connections, Wal-Mart. Will she do anything to get money out of politics? I don't think so. Will she do anything but push the more conservative agenda of the Democratic party, to try to use the Democratic Conservatives to do the Republican agenda ... I just don't think so. When she talks about what she did ... she did not lead. She always talks about how she helped do something, which means she was not a major player or leader. And by the way, when it comes to pandering ... what on Earth do you think Hillary Clinton is doing, she panders as well as anyone, it is her main mode.

  45. Interesting take on Kamala Harris. As a Californian she was my Attorney General and then Senator and then VP - in such a rapid rise that it was clear she had some supporters behind her because she was never in a job long enough to make a mark or excel at if before she was promoted to the next job. To me she was/is an unknown quantity - who is it paid for this meteoric rise, and why? Her debate performance in the last Presidential election was nothing special and I think she rubbed people the wrong way. She had her minority status to play one, and she has a kind of whiny voice like she is trying to put on a black accent - which is weird because her mother is Tamil Indian, and he father is Jamaican. Both her parents are very smart, her mom is an endocrinologist and her dad was a Stanford economics professor. Perhaps her handlers do not quite know how to promote her image. She confused me personally because I don't really know what she stands for. I feel suspicious of anyone who advances so fast in public service who does not really have any stellar achievements aside from being a minority. Kind of like how Gavin Newsom has risen by being from a very wealthy background and good looking. Both were associated with San Francisco, which is not a great badge of distinction these days - at least for most of the country. One thing about Gavin is that I believe he contributed to the election of George w. Bush in 2000 and then again in 2004 because right before the election he made a big national show of marrying gays in SF which I think mobilized Conservatives to get out and vote against that. It certainly did not help Gore or Kerry. Many of our Democratic politicians are like this, and many are genuine populists, which I prefer.
