  6. Everybody already pays for Social Care from *National Insurance*, this is what it's for, why should we be asked to pay again? The Torys have been against anything welfare-related since day one, if they had been in power in 1945 we would still be living in a Dickensian nightmare & it's only the fact they know they would be out of power for a generation that's let the NHS & Social Care last this long. Write to your MP, tell them we can see what they're doing & that they won't be forgiven in your lifetime & if they shorten your life they won't be forgiven by your children or grandchildren either. If Social Care hadn't been sold off to companies that are legally required to maximize profits for their shareholders it would still be affordable from National Insurance the solution isn't to make people pay twice the solution is to re-nationalize it & put it back under the control of the NHS (which also needs to be re-nationalized)

  27.  @EvilBrit89  it's not my expertise & I don't know but I can guess. The CIA man was definite that it can be done & he made it sound like it has been done by people he's worked with. My guess is they've found a bug, a badly-written part of the firmware, whereby a specially coded message can make the device either short the battery out or accept the next message as a command, one which in this case would short the battery out causing it to explode. (An explosion is just a very fast fire). It's also possible the manufacturer left a 'backdoor' into the device (perhaps to switch it off if the customer didn't pay the bill) this is a very common place to find bugs because the manufacturer only expects their engineers to know about it. Have you noticed that every time you connect your computer to the internet the first thing it does is download a bunch of 'updates'? Almost all of these updates are to patch over bugs, most of which respond to specially-written messages & most of them let an attacker into your computer. Pagers are much simpler than computers so there's less scope for bugs but against that you can't plug them into the internet to get updates so any bug that is there is there forever.

The figures were Greens on (I think) 15% with Torys & Farage both on 8%, obviously Labour in first. It was just something dropped into conversation that I didn't get around to checking but she's on-the-ball & doesn't lie. I hope I didn't mishear or misinterpret.
