It has been occupied by European Zionists starting around 1870 & backed by Western powers since at least 1920 when Britain, with the blessing of the League of Nations, started shipping Zionists & Jews to Palestine, since the late 1920s when Germany started shipping Jews to Palestine, since 1948 when the UN created Israel within the borders of Palestine!

This was a deliberate & systematic provocation of Palestine building up over months, daily multiple killings of Palestinians, attacks on holy places, increased "settler" & Police activity & violence. You provoked this you were warned multiple times by multiple sources the reaction was going to be big yet you carried on escalating. And then you dare to whinge & whine when it finally broke! You are truly disgusting! Still, 900 unimportant Israelis killed is a victory for you isn't it? You can justify to yourself rushing off & killing thousands of Palestinians. Despicable!

Ambassador Zumlot would have done well to review the history, 102 years this has been going on on-the-ground in Palestine from when the British dumped thousands & eventually millions of Zionists in the port of Jaffa, from where they fanned out across British Mandatory Palestine causing mayhem wherever they went. Within the UK Parliament this traces back to at least 1750 but it's probably not his place to emphasize too much of that in a short interview that was angling for a specific point.
