  15. it's not a free market though it's quite tightly regulated, it's just not regulated in favour of small/medium businesses or real people. Even the regulator is regulated, they've been complaining about it in Parliamentary Committees for years.

Now sit down & read the Forde Report & the EHRC submission it was investigating. If you can't read, Aljazeera's "The Labour files" sums it up reasonably well in video format. The reason Labour lost is abundantly clear & could be considered Treason (the case hasn't been tested in Court but the evidence certainly looks like Treason).

  23. The need to transition away from gas is not immediate, it's the source of that gas that needs to change. Ecotricity, Octopus, Green Energy & others already produce enough green gas to supply their customers & the process is simple, cheap & rapidly scaleable. It's only fossil gas that needs to go.

  27. 5:52 effectively 3 grids not 2 – the EU grids have been having troubles with synchronization & it's been resolved by having a northern & western grid at 50Hz (so you get reliable clocks) & the others at roughly 50Hz. The links to the UK are DC so frequency & synchronization are sorted out at the cable ends just like domestic solar installations.

  33. I think Tugendhat is probably the best they've got left, they sacked all the vaguely decent ones. He's not good at much but he has a moral compass (even if it's off it's bearings) & he has the humility to bring in genuine expertise to fill in for his lack. He would select a Cabinet that's designed to function & he would be ruthless in re-selecting for any post in case of failures. He's a military man & saw active service in several hostile theatres so he thoroughly understands the strength rules give you & he would be respected on the World Stage. For the country though, that's probably a really bad thing because he would ground his premiership on the 2019 Manifesto & that's a document that deserves to be in the Courts as Evidence for the Prosecution.

  47. Labour has a track record of turning around Tory messes, John McDonnell's published plans would have worked just fine & Labour have had & will have years to tweak & improve it. Nothing to worry about from that direction. What we do have to worry about is Starmer, his faction of MPs & the senior staffers named in the leaked report that the Forde report investigated. We have to wonder who is directing them & what their intentions are.
