These are deliberately set against each other by the Constitution because those who wrote it were worried that the State would have too much power.   8. We invented "Track'n'Trace" in 1850, health authorities from around the world come here to learn how it works. It kept the previous (2002) pandemic of SARS to 6 cases & zero deaths. It works just fine till the Government shuts it down to deliberately spread the disease around the country necessitating nationwide isolations. Of course there's then the excuse to give their mates £37BILLION to achieve nothing but a quarter of a million deaths.

  12. @A Different Bias, you seem to have missed 2 pertinent details -- 1) 40% of these Army drivers are Territorial Army -- they also have civilian jobs & many of them, it's reasonable to suppose, will be civilian lorry drivers -- should they be counted twice? 2) there are 70,000 qualified drivers who aren't driving, mostly because the pay & conditions have driven them into other employment

For evidence read the Forde Report, the EHRC report it discusses, the "leaked report" presented to the EHRC, watch Aljazeera's "The Labour Files" & "The Lobby" & Channel4's now-deleted documentary on the same topic.

Labour members maintained the 2:1 preference for EC/EU membership shared by the whole country from 1958 till the end of 2015, maintained it till beyond polling day. The Labour membership, all half a million, voted 2:1 against Brexit. Corbyn addressed more of the general population than any other Labour Member, including yourself, with a nuanced but clear message "Yes the EU needs reform but in the past they've done this, this & this good things, they're currently doing this, this & this good things & in the future they intend doing this, this & this good things so on balance we should stay in." You may be confused by the reporting around Corbyn's events which was equally consistent, 1) the Media did soundbite interviews with people entering & leaving the events but mostly broadcast those with anti-Corbyn messages (nothing from inside the events) & 2) kept repeating the lie that Corbyn was doing nothing, sometimes extending this to claim he had gone on holiday. #CheckYourBias.

  37. 7:50 PPE Do you remember early on, a few TV news teams were finding large stocks of PPE that was out of date & various scandals about re-dating it? Do you know where it came from? It came from the 4 pandemics during the Blair/Brown Government & the subsequent enquiries detailing what to do next. You noted earlier the Report than generated the stockpiles. Do you know why it was out of date? Torys. Specifically the Cameron/Clegg Government which simply ordered the doors to be locked & the warehousemen sacked. Blair & Brown left us with more PPE than anyone could shake a stick at! Cameron & Clegg wrecked it!

  46. Between when Blair opened the gates to eastern European workers & Brexit a substantial proportion of seasonal farm workers were Ukrainian students (Ukraine wasn't & isn't part of the EU). A combination of Theresa May's "hostile environment" & 100,000 immigrants pipedream plus Priti Shiti Patel's fascistic nonsense is what stopped them, now they're more interested in getting Putin out of their home, clearing up the mess & rebuilding their colleges & universities.
