An interim PM has no power to make deals or appointments, that extend in time beyond the formation of a new government. 2. An Interim cabinet also has no power to confirm anything that would last into the new government. 3. Treaties must be affirmed by a vote of the entire Knesset. No such vote was taken, because the amateur PM knew the Knesset would not approve. 4. No territorial concessions, on land or sea, may be made without approval by a nation-wide referendum. (The referendum is part of the Basic Law passed in 2014. After the stupidity of Oslo and departure from Gush Katif, the people don't trust governments, like the current one, to do what is best for the country.) No point of discussing the aspects of a totally illegal deal. Hopefully the courts will toss this travesty on the ash heap. It is such an obvious attempt to cater to the very rich, who will financially benefit from it, while giving away something Lapid has no legal right to give.
