@FriedrichSchüssler I agree, why would anyone want to deal with a country as devious as russia. Please don't use the term "woke" - it has negative connotations. We all need to be awake (woke) to russian lies wherever they surface.
1
@yellowtunes2756 It can't. It's economy is the size of Italy, or Texas. It will break up like the Soviet Union before it.
1
@kirgan1000 Of course he wasn't acting as a civilian. Good was done, and yet you argue. wt f

Better the devil you know?
1
@irresistablejewel Yeah thanks ruzzian troll. If you have accusations to make, tell us what you think are lies so we can debunk you too.
1
I think you're correct professor, Biden's legacy will be his cowardice over Ukraine. Just like you are too cowardly to vote against Trump. Inaction allows evil to prevail.
1
A beer, a wurst, a pumpernickel sandwich, and a change of underwear.
1
I'll bet Trump is kicking himself.
1
@alexbort3082 Why, because ruZZia has no rights nor justification for being in Ukraine.
1
@alexbort3082 Why? He just said - "upper case Z for fascists".
1
@Whymeman-ye9et No, I don't think ruZZia will use nukes. Both Modi of India and Xi of China have warned Putin to NOT use nukes. As for Ukrainians - they are so determined to never again be oppressed by ruZZians that they will take the risk.

@Whymeman-ye9et As for Ukrainians - they are so determined to never again be oppressed by ruZZians that they will take the slim risk of nuclear tactical weapons.

@Whymeman-ye9et Don't be scared. ruZZia won't use nukes. Both Modi of India and Xi of China have warned Putin to NOT use nukes.

Why not? It's their waterway.
1
Let Ukraine strike back. How long will it take for the US to "reset" relations with Ukraine?
1
@a5cent Yet the fact that you spout ruSSian propaganda DOES make you a ruSSian shill.
1
Yes, his emotions are so strong he can't stop his face from twitching and grimacing - although you can see he's trying hard.
1
Professor, please don't call it the "negotiations". It is the capitulation table that Trump wants Zelenskyy to attend.
1
@jorr1334 I think and hope you are wrong.
1
If you care about Ukraine, vote AGAINST Trump professor (i.e. for Biden). Ditto for American democracy. Thank-you.
1
I think that's a fair assessment professor. Yes we all stuff up from time to time, but these guys (and girl) just refuse to acknowledge that they did anything wrong. Just deials and attacking others. A humble apology would go a long way to convince us they really have learned from their mistake(s). Absolutely no accountability - that's what makes this so bad.
1
@Rosedach I feel you are splitting hairs. The professor did not vote against the candidate most likely to be an autocrat, nor against the candidate least likely to support Ukraine. Considering the professor's constant claims of supporting Ukraine, that makes his claims look half-hearted and hypocritical.
1
@Rosedach If the former president gets re-elected, the US is in danger of no longer being a representative republic either.
1
@Rosedach Yeah, I figured you had no sense.
1
@Rosedach Cruz, hah. What a plonker (both him and you). Can you not see he's a man driven, not by interest in his country, but by personal power. The way he sucks up to the former president - having previously said the guy is a smuck - is obvious to all.
1
@bostonrailfan2427 Yes, but that doesn't answer why not send them via the inland waterway (Rhine & Danube).
1
@bostonrailfan2427 Keep your hair on! Will they fit, or not? What is the max width of the minesweepers and the min width of the locks? What is the draw of the ships when lightened as much as possible? Can they be road transported passed the narrowest sections (if even required)? Nowhere in this thread has that been discussed so I request that you STOP YELLING and answer the questions as well as you can. Remember that this inland waterway can take vessels of 2000 tonnes, and these minesweepers are less than a third of that. Having worked on the rail my entire career, I'm familiar with working through various restrictions to get oversize shipments through to their destinations.

I want Ukraine news (which is pretty slow ATM). Also, facts to rebuff russian propaganda.
1
@hansericsson7058 Agreed. Moving away from 7th January was an anti-russian, pro-European move - so of course russia is going to increase their attacks on this day (they're still a-wholes, of course).
1
@nickfielding5685 Yeah, nah. Ukraine will prevail.
1
@yellowtunes2756 You're a well known ruzzian troll. Don't lecture us about reality - you wouldn't recognize it.
1
So you couldn't vote against Trump, a known threat to democracy and highly likely a dangerous threat to Ukraine. You are nothing but a fraud professor.
1
Interesting tumes. It seems that like Putin, Trump thinks "might is right". One danger with a "rare minerals" deal is that if Ukraine plays hardball, the US could negoitate with russia to get the minerals it wants. In my view, Ukraine might be better to negotiate a deal with the non-authoritarian world (i.e. NATO - US, +Europe, +Canada, +Australia) and tell Trump where to stick his deal. The US is an unreliable "partner". On another note, Ukraine is under no obligation to pay anything to the US for arms gifted to it. Especially as a significant percentage of those weapons were life expired and therefore only worth a fraction of the claimed value.
1
@stephenglover8828 "I'm pro peace and anti American foreign policy" interesting statement. I wonder if it's true. I would normally agree with you, but at present I believe the price of peace for Ukrainians is higher than the price of continued fighting. To back this up: we all know what Russia is going to do to Ukraine if we let them. The destruction of the people of Mariupol; the torture, rape and killing of the people of Bucha. We all know that peace now will reward Russia for its aggression. Peace now will be a temporary peace until Russia can re-arm and take another bite - of Ukraine, or Moldova, or Georgia. I listened recently to the parents of a man killed in Ukraine. He was an aid worker - not a military man. He was helping elderly civilians evacuate from the warzone in Donbas. But the Russians got him. Executed him with a bullet through his chest and one through his head. For what? And his parents hadn't been "got to by the CIA" - they were speaking honestly, from the heart. That's who the Russians are. You don't negotiate peace with such people - you fight or die fighting. "just because I don't buy into this western media narrative". Fine - but don't buy into the Russian narrative either - and I suspect you have.
1
From what I've heard (both here and elsewhere), russian propaganda isn't supposed to make sense. It's designed to confuse and distract.
