@robinsss So, does this mean that you're fine with poison being on the shelf in case someone doesn't have the good fortune to have seen that warning?
14
@robinsss Okay, I will amend: human poison masquerading as medicine.
14
@Live2swim And "getting people on record" when you know that there aren't nearly enough votes helps you get that healthcare how?
14
On TMBS, in August 2019, while Warren was clearly rising in the polls and almost ready to take the pole position, she said that Bernie was her first choice was Bernie and Warren was her second choice? I guess you're the one with the memory hole.
14
@teslastellar It was so "factual" that Fox wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole.
14
Funny that the last time we actually balanced the federal budget was after tax increases that every Republican voted against.
14
Biden defended his position on segregation invoking states' rights as recently as 2019. He is exactly who King referred to in "Letter from a Birmingham Jail."
14
I'd rather have a narcissist giving a self-important speech to retire when he can leave a legacy of a decent successor than the narcissism of someone who screwed us all over by sticking around too long and sticking us with someone who can spend 30-40 years undoing her legacy.
14
@hadleyroper6743 Iraq. When Cold Feet Crowder actually does something to prove he loves his adopted country, or when you do something to serve, then you can talk.
14
Darn right! If someone is earnestly misguided, that is one thing, but I don't engage with liars online or in debates in any format.
14
@HoldFamily And a smug misplaced confidence that you're the only one who does.
14
@davidstewart1757 Before she started with The Hill, she literally started what is called a scam PAC where far more money goes to the founders than candidates. She went on her show talking about the hard and rewarding work she did "writing a book"... that was a compilation of Radars that you can get for free online. A book that made the bestseller list. When she told how her job at MSNBC was one where she knew what was expected of her, does she really expect us to believe that a close Trump friend didn't know what he was doing by hiring her? No, she was picked because she sees her really enemy as the Democratic establishment instead of the fascists.
14
@ArturoGarzaID .Explain all of the dog whistles that he encountered once he started to rise to power.
14
Because the judge wouldn't let the prosecutor give any evidence of motivation or use the word "victim" to describe the people he shot while allowing the defense to call them "rioters," "looters," and "arsonists."
14
@garysmokesmeat Yes, and that is why life was cold, nasty, brutish, and short for most people before the government stepped in and set up a social safety net.
14
@garysmokesmeat No, but I'm not the one talking about "freedom vs. highly regulated." I'd say that requiring companies to negotiate with unions to set wages sector wide and a much higher tax rate are things that you'd hardly consider "free."
14
@garysmokesmeat I'm not a Marxist. And I don't obsess over how "most free[sic] is always better." And I'm not an absolutist, either. Still, if you want to talk about the 1950s, American workers were better then than we are now and the top marginal rate then was higher than what Sweden pays now. You proved nothing, and you will continue to prove nothing because you take an absolutist position that leaves you defending the indefensible
14
Because Jimmy is too big of a chicken after Sam exposed him for the idiot he is four years ago.
14
@888strummer When this was being discussed in January, Bernie wanted 6 and Manchin wanted 4. Now, it's lower than his original offer. If, hypothetically speaking, Manchin went to 3.4 or something, people might say, "Okay, the kabuki is complete. If you vote Yes, we'll go here."
14
@fatbachelors3922 So, you do think neoliberals are worse. Oh, the irony of your post.
14
@interdimensionalsteve8172 The problem is that Kyle Kulinski never says anything bad about people who he considers to be friends, and most of his friends are grifters.
14
@estacoda545 Well, considering that he has been outraged over the idea of paying for children's lunches and considered anyone the least bit worse off than him to be an unworthy person, he gets far more sympathy than he gives other people.
14
@DUNGSI27 If this is true, then he is someone who shouldn't be taken seriously as a commentator.
14
Indeed. Republicans need to stop being stupid so we can Live Long and Prosper \\//_
14
@v0id_d3m0n You can't watch YouTube and make a call at the same time.
14
They don't care if they hurt themselves, as long as you hurt the people they hate.
14
PV showed screenshots of it. It's true.
14
@johnhand46 And your evidence is? Maybe instead of blaming conspiracies, do the actual work.
14
@NotSoMuchFrankly What happened to Dore? Multimillion dollar houses don't pay for themselves.
14
The problem with that stance is that a woman isn't deciding to terminate a pregnancy that far along unless something really wrong takes place, and we've seen the hurdles women go through trying to prove a life or health exception.
14
@barbiquearea "Different" and "single mothers" are often dog whistles for black. She knows it's wrong, so she is trying to find one of the few acceptable groups to go after in this country (and the other is Appalachians [if you don't believe me, go into the most woke room and tell a joke about toothless, inbred hillbillies and no one will bat an eye], although that stems in no small part from the class issue) in order to make sure that is all she is talking about.
14
@randomthings1293 This guy has been a jerk for years.
14
Gee, it's like "right wing populists" really don't care about working people after all. Are you paying attention, Krystal?
14
@TehMorbidAtheist He lost it before then. Watch his debate with Sam Seder from 2016. Everything he said proved to be wrong, and everything Sam said proved to be right. All he had to offer was Borscht Belt level jokes.
14
@timreed402 He brought it up at least four times over the years, long before Ana warned him that she would no longer keep silent about his harassment. Maybe she accepted his apology at the time because she thought it was sincere, but then she realized that he was lying, and every time he bragged about it, it reopened the wound.
14
@stoogefest16 Definitely. If you've never read it, Jacobin has an excellent profile of her called "Tulsi Gabbard is Not Your Friend."
14
@jonathanhaun6098 Jimmy Dore is so strongly in support of Medicare for All that he endorsed a Presidential candidate who called it un-American, and he did everything he could to keep a champion of the bill out of Congress. With friends like him, who needs enemies?
14
The irony of his ad. The candidate she actually supported (Bernie) has never tried to exploit her, unlike Hillary and Biden. Says a lot about them.
14
@darkcrystalmagik3369 I got so annoyed at people who insisted Yang and Tulsi were lefties because they were "anti-establishment." Yang was pushing a right-wing version of UBI paid for with a regressive tax, and Tulsi kept sucking up to Biden to get a spot as VP. The "takedown of Kamala Harris" they all point to? Literally changing the subject when three candidates were going after Biden.
14
Are you familiar with the expression "cut off your nose to spite your face"?
14
@radicalmiddle9745 I talked to one of these Individual Sovereignty people, and I asked him if he would need a passport to re-enter the US if he were to secede on his own land (I also asked about tariffs, mail, and by what right his definition of property deserved to win out), and the best he could do was whine about how I was distracting about minor points. There have been others, but that conversation was probably the most illustrative.
13
Libertarians: People who believe the same thing on Wednesday that they did on Monday, regardless of what happened on Tuesday.
13
@robinsss It should be mandatory that poison is taken off the shelves.
13
A libertarian freak out? Merry Christmas to me!
13
@antonyhanson4479 Talking about smears while resorting to namecalling. Paging Dr. Irony. Apparently, you also don't understand how sarcasm works.
13
No Rubin clip will ever top Larry King taking the phone call from his son, but this one is right up there with Rogan explaining the importance of building codes.
13
Blasphemy!
13
And would have taken away insurance for 24-32MM people.
13
@GubekochiGoury I'm guessing the use of genius was sarcastic.
13
@davidstewart1757 Yeah, if the message is "both parties have flaws," why do the total radars go far more after one side?
