  11.  Carl Helbert  I think you are missing my point. I am saying that, from a lefty perspective, Biden has admitted that things won't really change. From what we have seen from Trump, we know things will get worse, especially if he gets to blame the successor to RBG. Therefore, even if Biden is a huge disappointment, he is preferable to a fascist trying to establish a dictatorship.

  20.  @jameswest9388  What is so great about the private insurance companies? I hate mine. The premiums keep going up, and the coverage keeps going down. You know what both of those countries have in common? Better results, lower costs, longer life expectancy, and lower infant mortality than the United States. Give me those problems over ours any day of the week. As far as people liking their private insurance, the proof is in the pudding. The most popular health care in America? Medicare. Number two? The VA. At times, those were switched, but they have owned the top two for decades. It doesn't seem to me like people actually like their private insurance, but are comparing it with not having any at all.

  25.  @jessestoler2828  He was very good. Back when he was still calling himself a deist, I thought he had his funniest stuff on religion ("How did the Republicans get Jesus? We should be brothers, live in peace, turn the other cheek, that's a Democrat. God, the Father, that's a Republican!") and he was actually willing to pay taxes ("We call them [police, firefighters, teachers] our heroes, but maybe we like them because they work cheap... Don't worry, applause costs you nothing."), but somewhere along the way, it seems like he leaned in to the reactionary stuff.

Was he right about the corrupting influence of money when he refused to take money from banks when running for state treasurer, or is he right to insist in taking money now? Was he right that Medicare for All is the compromise position, or is he right now in insisting that it is bad because it "eliminates choice," as though picking who will rob you is really a choice?

I want to give people options rather than make assumptions about what works best for them when it comes to finance.

Needless to say, I have no sympathy for him in this situation.
