I agreed with the point about a minister for mental health. But I also think, within that umbrella you'd need "departments" to try and deal with different groups within society, as sensitively as possible, because there will be ranges of factors and differing approaches required.
I also didn't really agree with the other points Ava went on to make, but that might just be my own experiences colouring it.
It's not often but this was one of those times I found myself agreeing more with Norcott. Or rather, I thought he brought up an interesting point that should be further explored.
Most importantly, though, the idea that she was smirking or making light of male suicide is totally dishonest. She smiled because Norcott made a comedic comment to lighten tension somewhat. Because he's a comedian! If she's getting pilloried for "smirking" why isn't Norcott getting picked on for cracking a joke? To be clear, Norcott has nothing to apologise for here either. Not a damn thing.
Whether I agree with Ava or not, the point is that Fox didn't even bother engaging with her opinions at all and reduced her value down to simply a sex object. That's what is sick about this, Fox wants to pretend like this is a serious issue for him but when the opportunity comes up he's got nothing to actually say on it. Just some childish remark. Rank excuse for a man.
