EXCEELNT interview. I am 64 and have done IF for about 4 years most days of the week at 14-17 hours. I tried my first water fast this past October for about 56 hours. It was fairly easy for me and I did plenty of research beforehand to make the most of it. I drank unflavored Pedialyte along with filtered water. After coming off the fast I had incredible energy, lost a couple pounds, and appreciated food even more. It honestly felt like a "reset". It helped clear my eczema and gave me a whole new perspective on fasting. I plan on doing it again this month - can't wait :)

Unfortunately, the majority of mainstream physicians are not always open to a discussion when asked questions which they cannot answer per Dr. Bryan. They either convey they are on a 'power trip' or dismiss you.

BRILLIANT Interview - so much good information. Dr. Burkart explains it all so well. We are living in such a toxic world ... but it's best to take basic steps to become more familiar with all these toxins. I've been aware of most for the past few years, but always learning and trying to do more. It would help if our government and their agencies weren't so corrupt. This is why we need RFK Jr. in the coming election to help fight these corporations!

LOVE Dental discussions!! At 65, I have gone through a TON of dental work in my lifetime and learned a lot - many times the hard way. Conventional dentists REALLY messed me up, but I found a good Biological dentist the next state over (1.5 hours away), and it has been WELL WORTH it. Oddly, I have been lucky to never had a RC, but I have numerous crowns, extractions and two implants. Thank you for this discussion :)

What a phenomenal interview! Dr. McGarey is not only an inspiration; she is a beautiful person full of wisdom and love. Makes me miss my Aunt and Grandmother ❤

Wow, great interview! I was only going to tune in for a few minutes, but ended up watching the entire show. As a former CPT, I relate and appreciate everything Sal said. He is quite knowledgeable, speaks eloquently and easy on the eyes as well! 😍. Great fitness and nutrition tips. Thank you both for an awesome interview!

Good interview and information (although long), but she is difficult to follow many times; going off on other things and sometimes never coming back to the topic again. Thanks for trying to bring her back Dhru - well done as usual.

BRAVO Interview!! This is a L-O-N-G interview, but SO well worth the time. Shawn is such an incredible communicator, explaining what can sometimes be complicated information for those who may not be so familiar with nutrition and health. Although I follow cutting-edge health and nutrition daily, I was blown away by this interview. I only wish interviews like this could be part of MSM ... but we know who has the power on them :( THANK YOU!

Informative interview. I also saw Jessie interviewed by Dr. Hyman with similar conversation. Dhru made some great points as usual; especially towards the last 1/4 of the interview. I am wondering why the topic of FASTING and blood sugar did not come up. I would have liked to get Jessie's take on that topic; along with the most beneficial foods for blood sugar.

@cynthiamcelroy9466 As I am open to using a different electrolyte mix ... I checked the "LMNT" product, but did not like for these reasons: Although sodium is necessary, one packet of this is 1000 mg - too much IMO. Also, it has "stevia" which I stay away from (why does everything have to be sweetened?), and worst of all , the "natural flavors" ingredient. This is always a whole or part lab-created ingredient ... the LAST thing I want in my body when I'm trying to detox and reset with fasting.

Excellent and informative interview. I had an extraction done by a bio-dentist who did exactly what was mentioned, and it went so smoothly with no issues. I only wish conventional dentists were open to this information (they are NOT from my experience), and could be on the same page as biological dentists who take the better holistic approach.

Great interview with lots of interesting points made by Dr. Amen. I like how clear and slow he speaks. But I have to say, his posture is terrible! Posture is critical on many levels, as it helps the organs to work more efficiently, just sayin'.

What a phenomenal guest! I admire Dr. Makary so much for coming forward with this critical information on our broken Medical System. I only wish there were more like him ~ he absolutely GETS IT. Thank you :)

Excellent (yet alarming) podcast. Michael is obviously very knowledgeable about this topic; speaks and explains everything very well. And as usual Dhru, you've asked the questions your audience wants to know. One thing not mentioned was the mold that grows inside front-load washers ... this is a horrible problem for me; despite the fact I have tried to do everything right. The thought of "cleaning" your clothes in an appliance that's infested with mold is disgusting ... I wish the manufacturers could get this problem solved!
15
Great short podcast Dhru! I always appreciate your perspective and what you bring to the interview. Dr. Tyna was quite impressive ... I loved her thoughts on Obesity, Covid, peoples health, and even her comment about todays education system ... right on target :)
13
LOVE your passion on Medicine-Health at the end Dhru!
12
Loved this interview! So much information about sleep, focus, and the mind in general. My 1st encounter with the brilliant Dr. Huberman .... so nice to look at too :)
12
Excellent interview. Dr. Mate is so insightful and I love his calming presence; and thank you Dhru for hosting so professionally. I look forward to other interviews with this incredible Dr.

Vani's been a fighter for healthy food for well-over a decade now. Absolutely LOVE the work she does - and it IS work dealing with these corrupt food companies!
11
FULL-FAT Greek Yogurt is much more satisfying than "LOW-FAT", as the Dr. mentioned. I have stayed away from Low-Fat ANYTHING for well-over 10 years, and I am fit and healthy at 65.

@beth4185 I don't recall how much the extraction procedure was ... maybe $200 +/-? I would recommend paying a bit more and going to a bio-dentist. If the dentist is properly licensed, they will have a protocol they follow (similar to what you've just heard in this interview). Conventional dentists are just trained to remove the tooth (not necessarily doing the proper cleaning around the bone and leaving fragments) and stopping the bleeding .... I would suggest reading about extractions on the Weston Price website. Oral health is so critical!!

@grainiac7824 Since my comment, I realized Pedialyte does not have any Magnesium - probably the most important nutrient while fasting! I would suggest either supplementing with Magnesium or finding another source for Electrolytes ... I'm looking for something better that contains all the needed electrolytes, but does not have any unnatural additives.

Thank you-I needed this information! Dr. Conley is well-spoken and obviously very knowledgeable. I am 66, very fit, but have ongoing foot issues. A visit to the Podiatrist did NOTHING. I am also in need of a new pair of walking shoes ... now I know what to look for :)

I have to disagree with a few of your points :) PLANT-BASED PROTEIN: The majority of plant-based protein is somewhat limited as far as the amino acid profile - adding in some quality animal protein helps you achieve this. DANCING: A good thing and brings joy to the soul! BOOZE: Although there are many negative implications out there on this subject; a minimal amount is not necessarily a deal-breaker for good health. THE BODY: You CAN rely on your body to heal itself - IF you treat it well. The body is an AMAZING machine!

ESSENTIAL OILS. I don't recall hearing any discussion about these in the podcast. They are naturally-derived fragrances.
8
Another L-O-N-G podcast Dhru, but well worth it. I just wanted to tune in for a few min and ended up listening to the entire podcast :) Dr. Akil's knowledge was incredible regarding Autoimmune, and Dhru's knowledge, questions and feedback complimented everything. Thank you for this information!

Great information. However there was not much discussed on how the role of exercise can boost NO ... ?

@davidholmes892 Natural sugar found (mostly) in fruit is fine in limited amounts, as they also contain other nutrients such as fiber, Vitamin C, minerals, etc. Yes, glucose (sugar) is essential in our brain and throughout our body in order to function properly, as it's our cells' main source for energy. I think that's the type of sugar you meant ... there are no reputable studies saying we need more processed/added sugar for better brain function!

Superb interview with Dr. Li. Well-spoken and very informative. However would like to hear more about his thoughts on why soy is such a positive food ....
8
Excellent interview Dhru! I have been following Dr. Gottfried for nearly 15 years, and she continues to impress with her knowledge of the body, hormones, women, etc. It seems she is more "raw" in a positive sense than she used to be, and I really admire that.

Great podcast :) It's always interesting to get different perspectives on diet, exercise, fasting, etc. and see how it compares. Then realizing some things are repeated which reinforces how beneficial they are. So many things Dr. Thurlow said I relate to ~ thank you Dhru for another great discussion.
8
L-O-N-G, but interesting interview. Thank you Dhru for clarifying things and asking the right questions!
8
I have been using North American Spice & Herb Oregafresh Toothpaste for years. It does not contain glycerin and no harmful additives or toxic ingredients. It's a bit pricey and hard to find, but well worth it!
7
@davidholmes892 FALSE. Our body does NOT need sugar in order to survive. Healthy carbs in moderation - or very limited depending upon your diet - can be necessary to some; but not most.
7
GREAT interview! Dr. Bland is phenomenal for 76 with so much on-point information. Dhru: Dr. Bland is correct, you are brilliant in the way you contrive these podcasts; asking questions which you know your audience wants to know about. Thank you :)
7
I know he is relaying good information, but he speaks very quickly and not clearly - difficult to follow. Dhru, as usual, you are asking good questions!
7
Intense conversation with excellent information! Darin is quite knowledgeable, speaks eloquently and truthfully about the chemical "warfare" we've been facing for decades, which is only getting worse. I also❤the fact that he is also a fan of RFK Jr!
7
"No stress" is not possible. Stress is unavoidable for everyone (especially these days), but we can find ways to control it naturally by exercise, meditation, breathing techniques and music :)
7
I think what you're describing is just the sound of her natural voice ... sort of quivery, yet very distinct.
7
"You give time to what you believe is important". If you eat food, this is a topic of priority EVERYONE should take the time for ...
6
This is BS and makes NO SENSE. Dhru is an EXCELLENT interviewer and asks questions most people would want to know. He also adds in bits and pieces of his own personal views and experience which people also enjoy knowing.; as it sometimes may even apply to them ...
6
Dhru: Thank you for being such a great interviewer! Your talent for asking the right questions and patience in listening is much appreciated :)
6
Excellent podcast Dhru! I enjoyed the good questions you posed to the Dr. as well the good points you made - very well-prepared. However, as much as I liked what this Dr. had to say ... he lost me when he danced around the questions you asked him regarding the Covid 'vaccines', as well as his comment about the origination of the latest variant (Omicron). It's obvious he's still very much in cahoots with Big Pharma ....
6
The majority of this problem (if not all) lies within the broken healthcare, food/agricultural system and pharma complex. Consider all the misinformation, lies and overall cover-ups over the last 4-5 decades which have been told to consumers via government, health professionals, media. THIS is why we are in the sad state we're in, and only getting worse.
6
Phenomenal interview from start to finish! Thank you again Dhru for asking the important questions and reiterating critical points throughout. Louisa is a lovely person with so much knowledge ... offering very practical actions everyone can do to keep their brain healthy.
6
Good podcast, but L-O-N-G. However as long as it was, several things were never mentioned: Oil pulling, water flossing and glycerin in toothpaste.
5
@Jonathan Pol NO! Brown rice syrup is just sugar in a different form. Xylitol in very limited amounts are okay, but this is a sugar alcohol.
5
North American Herb & Spice OREGAFRESH P73 Toothpaste -- NO Glycerin; natural ingredients, tastes great. Have been using for years and have great check-ups at my Biological-Functional Dentist.

What a sweet and beautiful soul Anita is! This was a truly emotional and inspiring interview and brought me to tears (not easy). I have no fear of death ... only how it will happen. I long to be where so many people I loved have gone.
4
#1- No mention of ORGANIC and the GLYPHOSATE in Oats ... #2 - BIG Food Companies: NO, you cannot tell them what to sell and people need to make their own decisions and take some responsibility ... however these companies need to be TRANSPARENT in their advertising. I don't think Dr. Li is speaking out enough against these companies. #3 - Not enough clarification on the foods that contain the (4) beneficial bacteria, not just the "first one". Otherwise good podcast.
