  1. Looked at a 2015 Yaris in May at my local Toyota dealership,here in the UK. I looked & hanged around outside for 10 mins,i looked for the car,couldn't see it,went inside....waited for 5 mins for a sales person,no one came out,so i left. There was another Yaris at another Toyota dealership,15 miles away,asked them online for a test drive booking on their own website if they can bring it down to my local dealership,as i didn't have a car to get there,same name dealership,different location. No reply for 4 days! I went to my local dealership and informed them of the situation,told them i wasn't a time waster on line,i'm a real person etc & inform them i'm a serious buyer.The customer service informed the sales team,asked me to wait,i waited.....for 5 mins,then i walked out! 5th day they responded,saying the car was sold! So i purchased elsewhere,from a used car dealer,who was trying to start up their business,it did have an extra 20,000 miles thou,same year,model with a CVT, but i'm happy. I made a complaint to both places & told them i saved £2,000 going elsewhere. I'm happy with my Yaris.

  2.  @killertofu  I did my CVT on my 2015 Yaris 1.3L 3 years at 88,000m,did 2x drain & refills as mine takes 2.2L each drain as i got a 5L bottle, then did another recently again but just 1x drain & refill. Will keep the other 2.2L in the bottle in the house under stairs so no moisture occurs. Use genuine Honda fluid thou.

You won't,i did this yesterday on my 2015 1,3L Yaris in the UK,it's simple,i didn't need to remove the wheel or the inner plastic,as i had the room from the top,but i realized this later,no worries thou....shows i went through the procedure.The drain plug (6mm Hex) may be v.tight,i used the handle of my jack as an extendable bar.Using the wire in the OBD can be fiddly,just remeber the procedure,write it down if unsure,i didn't as i watched the video 3 times to be sure,to be sure.

  6. I worked at dealerships here in the UK & he so right even over the pond. Many are on a low wages here,we even had 8yr old loan cars which wasn't the best looking but they were free for customers,customers would put in their own petrol/gas,when one customer came back to complain about the cars the service lady got a much newer car & charged him for it.....the customer knew the previous car was free,customer put his foot in it. My local Jap specialist who i only trust gave me a free load car,i didn't live far at all & that load car was 5yrs old & only put on 3 miles, i take my mothers car & mine to them all the time. Many garages here Pay a low wage, pay peanuts & get monkeys.

  7. @ Amd (The Car Car Nut) I've seen this video 2x & again today (x3) but didn't scroll down to read your pinned comment, i didn't know Hybrid ECVTs used a different fluid 😯 A friend recently purchased a Hybrid so will inform him about it,he's not that well informed about cars & i've advised him when questions pass my way. I used Forte oil and fuel cleaner on my 2002 2NZ-FE at 67,000m from a garage i worked at in the UK,late 2009,the Forte wasn't sold for the public/retail,but sold for part of a car service.You could buy a Forte at like Halfords etc in UK.Idle for 15mins it advised on the bottle.I drove home 2 miles away/15min drive...the engine idled badly at a junction for 5 secs,i panicked! Then it was ok,drove/idled much better,the exceleration/throttle was much more responsive. Unreal.12 yrs later in 2021 at 100,000m,to this day never had any issues,never had any issues before either! The garage Forte must be much better than elsewhere then,i guess. P.S I use Magnatec oil the last 5 yrs as i do v.little miles and i always good quality fuel from Esso.

  12. Work for Toyota GB in late 80's & the 90's, we rarely had a those 5 Gen Celica's in stock....either rare to come to the UK or sold out in a flash! Never saw a GT-FOUR thou.....must be rare! The MR2 1st & 2nd Gen were awesome! We had a special edition 2nd Gen Yellow automatic edition (T-Bar/Targa top).... only 2 in the UK back then! Loved the Corolla GTi-16, the fourth-generation Celica handled superb! It was a 1986 which i expected to lean a lot in a corner.....hugged the road like glue with no lean or tilt from the suspension.

I used "Forte" engine and fuel/injection cleaner here in the UK on my 2002 Yaris 1.3L auto with 65,000m back in 2008,it wasn't cheap,like £45 for both at the garage i worked at.it did a brilliant job! It ran sooo much better,still ran great when i sold it last month....13 yrs later. Not going to use it on my new car,2015 Yaris 1.3L auto.Back in 2001 i used this thing called "Astal" it was on QVC,put it in my 1988 Merc 190E with 130,000m,says to drive for 500 miles,then change the oil....it was brilliant! Cleaned the timing chain like brand new! Drove great too.

  17. Think they're based off the Mazda,the rear wheel bearings are quite weak, rear window mister/de fogger can stop working as the copper wire are very thin indeed....also where the water hose goes to the rear washer the rubber bung sitting on/in the boot can corrode....i put grease there.

  24. They're a little bigger than the 2nd Gen Yaris,i had the 1st Gen for 14yrs,recently got the 3rd Gen XP150 (Facelift) 2015 1.3L CVT hatchback here in the UK. They're awesome! So many specs to choose from!! Unreal! My model is called an Active, there's Active+ with rain sensors,cruise control & climate control,but didn't want too much toys. Only the Sport model in Europe is made in Japan,all others are made in France.

  25. No issue going to 1,000m for a 5,000m oil change, as long as it's not repeated over & over again for like 10yrs, don't worry about it.

  27. But who knows who worked on it before,it may had a change before you purchased it and be over filled or under filled,that's why it needs to be measured,will cause mopre harm/damaged if fluid isn't measured correctly.

  34. By the sound f it it's a typical BMW,they don't care further down the road when it comes down to maintenance/fixing it they just wanna sell them.....know than for many,many years & that's why i've never purchased anything from BMW.

  38. Not for my 2015 Yaris 1.3L XP150 with 90,000m, heard it was common on those. All four have been done since new.

I'm from the UK, 4yrs on & i got a 2015 Yaris 1.3L CVT, did have a 2002 Yaris 1.3L 4speed auto that i used T4 ATF & only done 2x drain & fill in 14yrs of ownership,changed it in 2012 & sold it on in 2021,the trans is still shifting lovely. I still talk to the new owner 4yrs on & he still loves it to this day! It takes about 2L each drain as i got a 5L bottle £55 (2012) direct from Toyota. I also changed the coolant but with Prestone every 4 yrs,3x of ownership....no head gasket issues,doesn't leak,overheat nothing. My new Yaris i've changed the CVT fluid 2x in 4 yrs,1st in 2021 & recently Feb 2025. Got it from ebay in 2021 £60 & in 2025 £70. It takes 2.2l each drain on both occasions so it is real clean inside. Won't do a drain till 5yrs now....the year 2030. I'm using Prestone on this too, 4L for £20 (ebay) & it takes under 2L. I did fill with deionised water (£2) to get most pink coolant out. Go with prestone,it'll last longer!

  40. On my 2015 Yaris here in the UK,i spray WD-40 or even GT85 with PTFE everywhere in the engine bay.underneath & under the rear of the car 3x a year. It really help keep away corrosion.

  42.  @rightlanehog3151  UK comes with 1.0L manual only, 2 or 4 door hatch,1.3L man & auto 2 or 4 door hatch and the 1.5L Hybrid 4 door hatch only & ECVT Auto only, not the same CVT as the others thou,the ECVT & CVT different gear box's. I always get 55mpg easy on a long journey,i'm happy with it! I will get a Yaris Hybrid in 2025 thou NOT electric. There'll be massive issues in the future, people queuing to charge there cars as not many for the demand. It's like not having enough gas stations,people are gonna wait! Superfast & fast charge will reduce the battery life FACT. Hot weather reduces batterieskife,cold will reduce the charge,with the heater on incl lights,rear defroster,heater fan,radio etc will reduce the miles ....as it'll be the KWPH that matters. No way i'm getting an electric car.

In 2011 i did my MAF just for the sake of it & no issues for many,many years (10 yrs in fact,2002 Yaris) i did it so everything is tip top & there's nothing to worry about in years to come, why wait for the CEL (Check Engine Light) to come on then you gotta resolve it but in the meantime the engine may be putting in more fuel which nobody wants.

  47. FatManChew909 I got 2 dashcams,a cheap Chinese (front & rear cam combined) and a Nextbase 320GW,the Nextbase is hardwired myself,easy to fit and the wire kit is cheap enough. The chap Chinese car cam i can swap to the Nextbase and do any downloading.The cheap dashcam doesn't have any download info as i read.

This video popped up again in my feed & remembered a time back in 1999 at a garage, a car was serviced by an experienced mechanic,he told a junior mechanic to finish off the service while he did something else,didn't realize he had put oil in it so it had double the oil ...it smoked the place out badly😆 No harm came to the engine.
