  2. Is "The West" for you Britain and the USA? Taking a closer look, it is the Anglo-Saxon media. Are only these 2 countries "The West"? Examples for the Anglo-Saxon media are Fox and Sky. They are extremely conservative and much biased. If you follow EU media such as France24 or DW, the picture given is much more differentiated, as compared to those Turner and Murdoch countries.

  19. If you are able to make a good copy product, then you are capable to produce your own good product, too. But that takes time and Chinese prefer to make the $$$ today. In my time at an R&D center in Guangzhou I had to match existing products, sometimes even a copy of a copy that was already bad. None of my original product inventions were ever considered by anyone. That is the main reason why I left.

  21. @yoshi muras it is typical Asian behaviour when they are caught pointing at someone else doing something bad. Another example: My son is in Singapore school. If a pupil does something bad and the teacher asks: who did that, the entire class will should "Kai Ryue". In my time in a similar situation everyone kept silent. If asked we would all say: I did not hear anything.

And regarding the "land of the freedom" - claim people from the US are always making, most of the world has actually listened to it with the chin down and their eyes rolling. It is kind of presuming there is no freedom elsewhere. However, what is happening now in China is much more than such "slight misconception" of the own self. It is cultivating hate against others, and a superiority of China.

It identifies a person with the help by the image of it's posture, or the way you move your body when you walk. You may wear the fattest sunglasses, a hat, a coat ...

  32.  @momoware  The difference in between us is probably, that I do never use the US as a benchmark for these kind of things. The entire rest of the world is not like the US. It is possible to "operate" a nation in relative safety without a George Orwell in every home, and that is what is the reality in most civilized parts of the world.

  34.  @momoware  Person B will not jaywalk even if there is no policeman or camera. On the longer term he will learn also when it is safe or appropriate to bend the rules a little. Person A will jaywalk whenever there is no police or camera. He will try to bend the rules anywhere anytime, same as he bends the bushes or the fence in the center of the road divider to still slip through. He will ride bicycle on the Autobahn if he believes there is nobody watching. He will beat the red light whenever he does not fear a punishment. That makes it necessary to execute as much total control as possible. That is the difference.

And you want to do that with what you feel is a high quality system, a technological implementation to make people good. I am unable to think that way, and with me most of the West I suspect. I am unable to find anything positive with the system that is described in 1984. I just see that "yours" is even much more perfectionised. Instead of an eye in the living room, you made the hand-phone that eye. No more tiny corner in the room where the eye can't see. And you install hundred millions of cameras, check on finances and transactions of the people, travels, education, everything. And your system is not even done yet. There is more to come. I saw there are also some robots to warn people not to litter, or to walk on the right side only, or such. Is that true?

Wechat is far worse than Google. And not only that, it's directly wired to the government and it millions "helpers". You say something they don't like, the next night 5 friendly uniformed gentlemen may stand in front of your door step. And before you come up with the next shxt: I have an Android but no Google. No Google services, no Google maps, no Chrome, no Google search, nothing. All Google is blocked, and also Facebook, Insta, Whatsapp, etc etc.. It took me weeks to set up blocking accordingly. This here with Youtube is the only "weakness" I allow myself.

  41. Most people think that braces are for cosmetic procedure, just for the good looks. In fact there are dentists who do suggest braces even if the teeth are not really that bad. It earns them money for years. But often it is not for looks only. The dentist should be able to tell you if your bite is even. If it is not, then you should be thinking about a correction. An uneven bite can have bad consequences for your face bones and face muscles. In Asia many people get braces only when they are grown up already, which is actually more complicated and prolongs the entire correction process 2 - 3 times. Do it as early as you can if the alignment of your bite is not good.
