@Rune Børsjø They might not have 18.3 % but they do have strong growth. I do however think that money is not everything.

Electing a non-democratic party is not democratic behaviour. That is exactly how the NSDAP started.
25
Did you ever look how many % of US GDP that is? And which countries in Africa (for example) US businesses makes tidy profits?
25
(15) Aliexpress shipping $ 0.20
25
dannnsss8034 You got that right. Doublespeak and doublethink.
23
They are not trained for anything in the modern world.
23
Mr. Zhang, do not feel guilty, it is not your fault. You did the things to your best knowledge. It is the fault of those who did not tell the truth from the beginning, and all their helpers.
22
@hape3862 Absolutely. Germany is a country of 82 Million people. Mr. Habeck managed to almost stop gas supplies from Russia. At the end of 2022 it was at about 2%, from the former 60%. We were told there is a price to it, but it would "normalize" within a few years time. And the German industry is against Ruxxia gas. Who by any senses would make themselves dependent on this again?
22
@kimjung2442 I studied all Chinese history from about 1600. I know where all their inferior complexes and problems stem from. Even Mr. Xi still behaves a lot like like an emperor. It was and is a country with strong hierarchical structures and fascist leadership. Taiwanese would be 100 % unable to settle with it again.
22
@VFella They say "The West", but the mean USA
22
He slammed the door with a loud bang. How long does it take for you to hear that bang?
22
5:16 Watch his reaction to the question if he thinks information was hidden, and his answer using the children example.

I do accept that Germany has kissed China's rear side so much that it was shameful. Shameful for me to watch, too. I was saying that since ages. But I do not think that Germany was bad or unfair to India. If so, tell me where. Produce and create, bring products to the market - we will all buy them. India's Pharma Industry has actually international standard, Royal Enfield has so much improved, BMW produces in India, do more! But a war is the last thing the world needs now after the pandemic.
21
She is a scientist from her background, she understands the scientists and can speak on the same level with them. I think you do hear that.
21
Same like Xi. The west the west the west whine whine whine yawn
21
The only thing we know for sure is, the war has not been ended within 24 h.
21
@HvdHaghen It's been blasted, too.
20
Good interview, good questions. DW at the top!
20
I am glad to see that Germany does not put its resources in wars and fighting but in helping. And I want to see more of that.
20
He is on office since Oct 2023. He has done nothing. Same for his predecessor, Mr. Odor. EU had given them 3 years to change their gas purchasing. Continuation obtaining gas from Russia may be cheaper for now, but will be tremendously expensive for Slovakia and the EU on the longer run.
19
@birdymaniac They do
19
So what is the problem with this reporting? You know I really hate it that so many people nowadays just make blunt statements with not providing any basis, reasoning, background. I think it would be right to delete such posts. They do not bring anything onto the table for a discussion. They are only meant to degrade the another party.
19
Free Trade according to China: Let us freely sell everything everywhere. Free Trade of the world into China: Here, I slap 60 % import tax on it.
19
He's got no clue. As an example, he mentioned that Europe has free-flowing community transmission policy. Or, as you correctly said, he's turning away to mention Taiwan as THE role model. Taiwan people enjoy more freedom than most countries in the world, BECAUSE of their successful policies. Yet he mentions tight restrictions. He's a professor here in Singapore, paid by the university. Hard to swallow, right?
18
The Ukrainian forces have proven they can operate these more complex systems with high efficiency. They were successful to wipe out all doubts and will get more of these now.
18
@UVGardener China is destabilizing itself most efficiently at this time. And you from the 50cents army have nothing else to do than talking nonsense.
18
That will be a happy winter season to look forward too.
18
Tell me who are your friends and I tell you who you are
18
Unfortunately there are horrible atrocities reported done by Azerbaijan forces. I had watched several video documentations to the subject. The people there it seems are not enemies, they want peace and normal life, just like the Ukraine people.
18
The entire Europe MUST speak with one voice here: "Do not step over this border!"
18
As for Italy, there were first reports about a mysterious lung disease by mid of November 2019. Remember that the Lombardy has 100,000 people from China. Therefore, by the time the crisis was identified, Italy had already thousands severely ill people limping to hospitals, while Germany had a few only, and they were much younger and the infections were still fresh. That is certainly reflected in the death rate. In 2 -3 weeks the death rate in Germany will be higher. But it pays back now, that even after some painful cuts Germany still spent significant resources on its health system. Do not listen to the Germans. They always complain, no matter what. The German health system is among the top in the world, even though improvement is always possible.
18
@didntwantahandle I do understand why Gamaleya is urgently seeking partnerships. Not many in the world would buy it. And free ... it's not. If you look at their data, they have actually done a very good job. It was a mistake to "approve" it in August already, without these data. That caused distrust.
18
Welcome Ukraine! Lets work together for a better and peaceful Europe.
18
We had overcome worse crisis than that. Better work more or pay higher prices than living under the rule of a fascist again.
17
@Right 2 Build Russia is not in an economic situation being able to lose this people. The countries GDP is about the size of Italy, but with double the number of people.
17
@weirdarthistorian If there were sexual activities these women did not agree to, then it is rape and it must be brought to justice. Many women consented to these parties and did not say no when things went it's course, but they may have regretted afterwards. "Actually I did not want a quickie with that sweaty guy in the 10 minutes concert break, that is not the star I thought of."
17
@raj75543 You did not listen to the video, or you did not comprehend what was said. The Ukraine has let the Russian army move forward slowly. Meter by meter they had to conquer, under heavy losses on equipment and about 30 % of their men. It is a well known war tactic to wear out an opponent who is stronger by numbers, and then hit back. Europe has 4 times the population of Russia, 3 times the military budget, and 10 times the GDP. Who do you think will run out of resources? Every day Putin fights this war, Russia will become poorer. He will be sitting in China in a few weeks time, or hidden in a cave. He had lost by the time he was not able to conquer Kiev. The big Russian army.
17
It seems to me this is what the Afghan people chose, at least many.
17
@Liboch BS, bro. The German Industry leaders voiced up several times asking for the government to set policies and rules. The previous government did sorely miss doing this. All what the Industry wants is clarity and guidelines that apply to everyone. They all know China has shown it's not the wooly fluffy soft toy, but a quite bity dog. The way how they treat foreign companies inside China is one example. What they often do to poorer nations another, i.e. their financing wars.
17
He is legally not allowed to take it. In Germany it will be handled after the rules, which say the needy and those at risk first. He says it's not even really about him, he wants to keep his company at 100 % working level, therefore he is negotiating for an exception.
16
Last spring when Germany listened to her and Dr. Drosten, the country was the biggest nation with good efficiency in pandemic management. After people switched to those Querdenker and right wing views, everything went down the drain with neck breaking speed.
16
The vast majority of rich people nowadays came to their wealth through inheritance, not through hard work or entrepreneurship. This fact strongly suggest taxing assets.
16
If you try to be friend to everyone, then you will be friend to nobody.
16
The Problem is not a German problem. Similar issues exist in the US, the UK, Poland, Italy, Hungary ...
16
I am seeing Germany slowly sliding into fascism.
16
I am impressed by the Ukrainian people! So much suffering ... and they still keep their heads up, help eachother, and keep the country going. Please DW, continue showing us these positive examples. I think it helps us as well.
16
@ycl9234 Many of us know all this, many of us are against many of US foreign policies. There are protests against their actions, for example against the Irak war, as one example. Germany even voted officially against it and from then on was removed from their list of befriended countries. And many of us still do not agree with what China's CCP does.
16

16
@jeremytine Exactly. The Russian reduced and then cut the gas supplies months before already. So Germany started thinking about contractual fines. Anyway, done and over. Lesson learned.
15
Exactly. In 50 years the people will call our generation criminals for that. Can the Mars be moved into a Orbit similar to the earth orbit?
