And it's a terrible source for morality as are the Islamic scriptures. Neither of these sources are great places to go for moral teaching.

  7. +Leighton Elliott, I didn't say it mattered. But I disagree that it doesn't. It's good for gay people to be open about who they are, even, or especially, if it makes people uncomfortable because that might make them reconsider their anti-gay feelings and realize they have an issue.

  15. If it wasn't an issue before why is it an issue now? It wasn't a problem before it was addressed why is it suddenly a problem when it is. Also, it was conservative school systems who wouldn't let trans students go to the restrooms of the sex they identified that brought it about. I know you get all your information from Blaire White but she's wrong about a lot of things.

  27. Joe Drizzle Trump has promised to appoint Supreme Court justices recommended by the Heritage Foundation. So, not only will these justices be pro-corporate and pro-big banks and won't do anything about money in politics they will also be anti-gay and anti-choice. People keep saying he doesn't really mean what he says which would certainly make him as big a liar as Hillary.

  35. I think the calls of false oppression are no longer primarily coming from the left. A friend of mine was in the Midwest recently and was told that they were glad Trump won because "The gays will finally get what they deserve". I don't think the left is currently the main threat--though we can't ignore what goes on there.

  46. I think it is amusing that the Seinfeld story has become that he was censored on college campuses when in reality it didn't happen. He never played a college campus. The story was that someone told him his "Gay French king" joke would have been controversial--not that the joke ever was actually controversial (just not very funny or original).

So when you talk about the bad science education you, yourself are a product of that. Also, just so that you know, strawman building is a fallacy. Why don't you take a biology class from a real biologist so that you will be able to talk about this without pointing out how ignorant you are. When you "choose" to believe something you should actually become informed of what the evidence is before you just dismiss it out of hand.

  48. But, Arturo, they are not saying that evolution isn't true and that it doesn't exist. There are no serious biologists who do not believe in evolution--including Christian biologists. Francis Collins, a Christian, does not dispute evolution. They may be reevaluating how it happens but not that it does.
