Looks like a good 4' from front of car to front of engine, if it was any further back and you'd be doing this repair inside the car........
2
In my professional opinion those cab mounts was gone and your welding blanks...........
2
All and all you broke down in a great spot, nothing worse then braking down in the middle of nowhere or in middle of traffic in the middle of the road. Maybe the weather wasn't ideal but I enjoyed the road trip and the rainbow at the end.......
2
I never been in a transmission before either but least you can put it back together, I'd have everything bass-ackwards........... PS. It's a sin to not show new battery tool!!!!!!!!
2
I cant imagine truck owner wont want sparkplug wires replaced along with plugs.......... And do another good deed and spray some NH Undercoating on inner fenders before putting plastic wheel-wells back on........
2
Why do you have the freeken belt upside-down!!!!!!!!!!!!
2
Welcome to grammar school garage, where you dont know what you dont know....... Man I googled> {advantageous} 15 different ways for half hour and I still couldn't find that word, nothing seem to be advantageous for me, so I finally ask my daughter what word you was saying..... {{Advantageous>>> .helpful or favorable : giving an advantage to someone.}} Then we have> {{ Antithesis > a person or thing that is the direct opposite of someone or something else.}} For some reason I found that word in 15 sec, and I know I'll never use that word, it's even hard to say........
2
Acknowledgement to good help dont cost it pays, always say hi to Dave...... Never Seize isn't a rust preventative on exposed metal, it's designed for bolt threads, you should be using HH Undercoating or at least Fluid Film, use the right stuff for the right stuff....
2
Congratulations, you and I are the only ones in the whole world that puts a socket on a red hot nut to take it off, everyone else puts water to the hot nut first then tries to take it off, which in my mind is absolutely stupid........
2
You did that wheel speed sensor test so good and simple that even I could understand it. I hope future mechanics wanna-be's are watching this, your skill-set and honest ethical personalities are rare in todays society.............
2
When it comes to push pins, Ford had a better idea and that push pin engineer got a bonus for reinventing the wheel or push pin...........
2
Thats car is crap, todays generation has lost their sense of what a good car looks like, the best years of nice cars is back in the 50s and 60s........
2
One thing for sure, the trans is going to last longer now then it would've if you didn't change trans fluid....... PS sometimes it's better to take the freeken gloves off.....
2
That strut hardware is probably around $75.00/side plus aggravated replacement labor, 1A Auto complete struts for both sides is $235.00 with free shipping in around 3 days arrival time, so if it was my dime I dont know if you saved me any $$$$ or not.......... Also, I have a package up here in ME thats has your name on it, if you give me your CC number I can mail it down to you, have a nice day click.........
2
I never seen trans fluid that bad before, and it's always funny to see empty cans go flying cross the room but the ending sucked with no senseless rambling..........
2
And thats why these disposal companies get a $1000.00 per load..........
2
So if water drips out of AC evaporator core, the evap is good, yes no maybe............
2
Excellent video, put me right to sleep.........
2
I always thought bearings was changed in pairs or pares.........
2
Wonderful rebuild job, even better that you put a 200k mile warranty on motor.......
2
You always say you forget how stuff came apart and or goes together, but then you always seem to figure out how the right stuff goes back together in the right places..... I'm almost the same way to, I always forget how stuff came apart and or goes back together, and when it's time to put stuff back together, I cant figure out or remember how or where the stuff went, let alone where I put the wrench that I just had in my hand.........
2
I dont really want to know what the old air filter weighs, I'd rather know what the original color was. So what was this, a $500.00 air filter change.........
2
Wonder what EVs do for ac........
2
Can you stop the door open noise, very detracting during this critical steering wheel operation....
2
That water isn't doing anything until you add soap and sponge.......
2
You know, if you'd STOP interpreting your english lingo ALL the freeken time to a R rated level, I for one would never think that twisting nuts is nothing more then twisting nuts, AKA a fastener that goes on or off a freeken bolt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2
500k subs just shows how much we like story time with non-sensicle verbology............ Now why in the world did Jeep make a 2 wheel drive, that in it self is non-sensicle, Jeep is suppose to mean 4x4, might as well junk that and start over........ Welding in tight spaces like that exhaust is done all the time in shipyards, so tight we have to use mirrors, thats where up is down, forward is backwards and right is left.............
2
If an engine needs intake cleaning at only 80k miles, perhaps it's time to change the engine, this car shouldn't need any intake cleaning till at least 100k. All your doing is selling snake oil and stealing money, but I can see why you want to do this instead of real mechanic work, like changing a subadoo water pump, dumping in some go go juice is much easier and theres no danger of breaking easy-outs..........
2
Yes, new used trans and new tires, eta is $4000.00, van value eta is $2000.00............
2
You need to up-grade that work bench into something solid, you need to get the bounce out... I thought A-rod was joking but I guess you do need a bigger hammer, and that seal driving tool was really needed. Swinging hammers is good exercise, I got tired watching..........
2
Man whoever complained about the video quality is RIGHT!!!!!!!! Everything is out of focus, so much white it blinds my eyes. I remember back in the day your videos use to be so clear that I could see all the bolts you dropped, now I'm lucky if I can see the car, I dont know how much more of this I can take.............
2
After one hr of washing oil pan I wasn't impressed by that parts washer, it still had lot of stain even after $20.00 of spray cans, need something that you need to wear a respirator for...........
2
Your seal driving method needs improvement................
1
Wiper blades are like electrical connectors, I never know if it's push pull yank tug turn twist or take a Ford wrench to it..........
1
I like watching restoration work, be nicer if it was on a 1959 Dodge W300 Power Wagon.......
1
Is this Subydoo mini series gonna end up like the Titanic, because in all my years, I never seen such a sloppy sealant job!!!!!!!!! And what men learn from history is they never learn from history, ALWAYS put grease on SEALS!!!!!!!!!!!!
1
Vaseline works good for water seal to, you just go around the shop asking co-workes whats Vaseoline for... Was that sunroof glass clean around the edges............... Well see theres the problem...........
1
Well this is a odd video, I guess I missed what ever it was, must of been a need to know thing but it almost sounded like a Jonny Paycheck song to me............
1
That 02 Firebird might had a good engine but one look it tells me why Pontiac is no more, same with GTO. Dont AC compressors get rebuilt...........
1
All it needs is some Marvel Mystery oil...........
1
Good job..........
1
The only part I dont like about your soldering technique is the cutting on the covering around the wires. I cringe everytime you get out that dull razor blade that is to big for the critical cutting that needs to done, there has to better cutting utensils around somewhere for this type of surgery....
1
I thought condenser was in rough shape, and dont forget to wipe off steering wheel with all your greasy hand prints on it........
1
Ok now I see why the thumb sign at that big hose clamp, didn't get it in that intro on last video. Regen at 3k rpm, for 25 minutes, that cant be good for a motor, tell me again why by a diesel pickup.....
1
I always like a happy ending... Also your intros are just right, they are the perfect length. I watch some videos where their intro just goes on and on.........
1
My guess on repair was 2 hr or $200.00 which ever comes first.... Also I would've thought that to be a late 70s Ford, so the question is , is it better to have dimer on steering wheel, sometimes I wonder......... Now for some constructive criticism that you desperately need, put on some eye and ear prototection when using that air hammer, might of been better to tight bushings on ground, and didn't put some grease on those new bushings, they would've slide in easier-ish..............
1
I think that buggy is made for people my size if I lived in flat-ground country, also I think you look more professional with eye specs on......
1
While your at it, polish those headlight lenses with toothpaste, baking soda and brylcreem, a little dab will do ya.....................
1
Another good episode of senseless ramblings with small dose of valuable input.............
1
The worse and last thing I want to hear from a mechanic in a garage is ("I DONT CARE"). Thats one of the main reasons I hate garages cause they just dont care.............
