  1. Don't let the establisment fool you. Wage-inflation is bad for the 1% and good for 99% of the people. It makes your work more expensive for them. Only wage-rises can offset past times of high inflation. So you can buy as much again as before. Keep one rule in mind: Every year you not get a raise at least by inflation you get a paycut without you noticing.

You vote for whoever you disagree the least. You will never be 100% happy unless you run yourself. Saying you just need one reason means what I suspected in the first place: You look desperatly for a reason not to like the guy. But this too limiting for you. This means you seek perfection, which you will never get. This is classic "let the perfect be the enemy of the good". But since this not a Banana Republic yet - at least as long as we can keep the Republicans out - Trump will get no torture and burning and so on but due process with indicment, court, jury, etc and an opportunity to defend himself.

  5. Socialism is such a simple concept: Sharing the burden of costs for some of your income (taxes). And most countries do it all the time already. For schools/education, for roads, bridges, infrastructure, military, police, fire-protection, some countries also for healthcare, research basically everything which not makes sense to have more than once or owned and payed by single individuals.

  8. The only way to make companies doing things they would rather not do (like maintaining stuff even when it's not profitable at all) are regulations (laws, rules). And equally important is the enforcement of these laws. Someone has to check them and punish them with fees or loss of contract. Only both together works! And here we come back to the core problem in America: Money in politics. Companies will try everything to remove these laws. So they donate to a couple sitting lawmakers in the state legislature to weaken or remove the law and/or weaken or remove the enforcement of the law. So with legal bribes (donations) of maybe 1 mio $, they may be able to spare 10 mio $ in maintenance costs ... good bussiness for them. This is why corruption and money in politics must go ... at all costs. It destroys every progress over time and spreads corruption. And the only way to fight corruption long term is transparency and accountability.

  12. Analysis: 1) Trump is a narcissist - Almost a text-book example and can be seen throughout his life. Narcissists are created during childhood as a defensive mechanism but degenerates in adulthood into something problematic. 2) Narcissists are goal-orientated - Only the goal matters and they take every measure to reach it including amoral means, lying, cheating and illegal means when they think they can get away with it. 3) Trump wants to be president to stop the law enforcement against him and do what he accusses Biden of: Influence law enforcment by the DOJ to cancel his federal cases and to make him immune to law enforcement to stand above the law like a tyrant or king. 4) People like to be told things they already believe and things they like reality to be (wishful thinking) 5) Because of 1-4 Trump tells people what they want to hear. Give them a good feeling. If true or not is not really important. He even promise contradicting things to different people just to attain power and/or money. This way in politics is called Populism - telling people popular things. But Populism is almost always based on lies and empty promisses. There is no delivery or underdelivery of promisses. They simply cannot deliver because it is build on lies - incompatible to reality.

  13. Have these people realized that "suspending the constitution" also means suspending their beloved 2nd ammendment. Guns would suddenly become illegal by a simple decree by Trump. And he will. All authorian leaders do because they are afraid of losing their power again. So they take the guns and forbid religion as much as they can to not create divided loyalties to the leader. Universal Healthcare would make this even more effective because companies would lose the American market if they get too greedy. This is one reason why other countries pay 2 to 3 times less even for patented drugs during the first years because their healtcare provider it negotiating prices for the whole country. No deal - no market.

I would sentence Trump to 1) House Arrest - no golfing 2) Social-Media Ban - no posting 3) 200h of Community Work in an ICE Facility on the Mexican Border I want Trump to meet a couple people in there so he can see what he approved the consequence of his decissions. The environment he seperated and incarerated families in and learning stories of refugees and their life. And I would like the see him breaking and feeling regret and maybe empathy for the first time in his life.

  24. Pennsylvania has 13 mio people and the mail-in ballots are not counted before 7PM. Meaning from 7PM to next day they need to count them and add them to the in-person votes. This simply takes time. Ironically the GOP made this rule. Other states are allowed to count the mail-in ballots earlier to have a headstart.

Being politician is one possibility because there are no standards or requirements for politicians anymore. If you appeal to the voters enough or find a wealthy patron to pay for your ads you may make it. But those people are not interested in doing anything else then campaigning for the next election to stay in power. They are not interested in their voters, the people or the country they only want to make sure they keep their seats but no service at all no policies ... just campaigning. And this has to end. It holds back the country and society and even the economy and costs money and lifes.

The Neo-Liberals who take the money and policy-wise doing the same as moderate Republicans and the Progressives.   46. If I had one wish granted by a god I would wish humanity loses the ability to lie or show clear physical signs when someone does. All past wars began with lies, discrimination, a lot of catastrophic failure comes from lies, broken relationships, destroyed environments, haltered progress, bad decissions ... all goes back to dishonesty. We make our own hell by lying to each other and not givine the Truth proper respect. And the more often we lie the less Trust there is eroding the foundation of society and any kind of teamwork and cooperation. There is a saying: "Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the Truth." and some day is pay day. EDIT: If I cannot get my wish then I would want another wish: Every human has a right to Truth. Therefore I want a new human right a "Right for Truth" every human should have and I'm sure every human want to have - except the liars. It will not stop the lying, but it makes everyone who does responsible for lying. It creates a legal basis to take people like Tucker Carlson or Trump accountable. You still need to prove the Truth before a court but there is a clear legal basis. And it will create a balance to the Freedom of Speech limiting your Freedom to the Truth.
