  11. Looks much worse than it's actually is. CNN over-presenting it. 4% to 8% are right leaning ... for decades not 45% / 73 mio. But since Germany has Proportional Voting (PR) mixed with FPTP for locality the right-winger have major issues getting into government and have little or no say on legislation. They even lost influence in state-levels in the last years because they are simple incapable of doing resonable work as lawmakers and one scandal and corruption after another same as the Republicans. Germany learned it's lesson after WW2. The system is made Facism-proof on all kinds of levels and constantly watching for extremists on both sides and this keeps them in check. However the dissatisfaction and fatigue regarding Covid, Lockdown and restrictions created irrational protests largly based on misinformation campaigns. The same which fueling Anti-Vac, Covid-Myths and so on in the US. And those protests are constantly undermined by right-wing groups. Both groups constantly mix it's hard to say where one ends and the other begins. Same as the US actually. I think it's intentional the news sources of both are the same and among them a lot of older people not having enough critical thinking to deal properly with Social Media especially Facebook. And as older people they are easy victims to the fear-mongering. However Germany is changing. People turn their backs on the old large parties and turn to smaller ones which is thanks to a multi-party system and the election system no disadvantage for the voter. So the smaller parties of the center and and the extrem left and right get more votes among them the Greens who are currently even the largest party according to polls. Strange things. Germany never had a Green Majority or as Green Channcelor. And even not a Social-Democrat for a longer while. And neighter the Conservatives nor the ring-wing nor external parties like the Russians (Gas/North Steam 2) see kindly to that and probably try to prevent that if they can so I expect more misinformation and political smearing and potentially even again influence from Russia like in 2017. I'm pretty sure those protests and ring-wing movments are fueled from the outside to try to get into government and to somehow get a way to the leadership of the EU in order to weaken it, corrupt it from the inside and take it down if possible. There are a lot of tax-avoider, money-laundrer, billionaires, financial market people who want less regulations, shady bussiness people who have a major issue with the EU interfereing in their affairs and Germany is one of the top members, co-founder and a strong engine for the EU.
