Maybe your unintentional appearance on MSNBC mentioned today was too much for them. Edit: Sorry you mentioned it yourself later in the video.

Fascists first come to you as a friend. They promissing the world for you, to "deal" with the people who don't like, to "go back to the old ways", to give you everything you want ... if you just make your cross in their box. But they never give you details. They never tell you why or how and this is how you can detect them by a lack of detail and reasoning and a lack of honesty.
1
Not wrong. However you need to drink 40 litres or so. And 4 are already difficult.

@TheHuxleyAgnostic Don't ask me. I don't smoke.

I think the unlikely case of Democrats keeping the house and getting the senate will be happening. And here are my arguments for this opinion. The current round of Republican candidates is terrible, they are even rejected by moderate Republicans like Trump has been in the 2020 elections. And they are much worse than the ones of 2020. Taking away Freedoms and the in particular the right to decide over your own body is terrible. It turned most Republican women away because it affects their freedom as well. The risks of losing the right to decide for yourself will encourage voters to vote especially in Red States because those families already suffer under the consequences of overturning Roe vs. Wade and the extreme laws the Republicans made. This is the first true Post-Covid election and Republicans indirectly killed a lot of their own voters by seeding doubts about the vaccine and the lies about it and Covid handling. Student loan relief is very popular ... even among Republican students. Lower Drug-costs is very popular ... especially in poorer Red States. Therefore ... I expect a surprise win for Democrats. And I expect that all unexpected wins will be declared fraudulent and challenged by Republican candidates in the extremists way to the point of civil unrest and calls for violence. I even expect that some elections in Red States will be activly ignored/overturned leading to a constitutional crisis and civil unrest.

The GOP's fate was decided on Trumps 2nd impeachment in the Senate. It was a golden opportunity to get rid of Trump for the good of the party and the country. Now they are chained to him and he is dragging them down with him as his past is catching up to him.
1
You're welcome. And this week is bad he is visiting home I think it's the emergency studio. Normally he and his team are in a larger one and the production quality of the video is higher.
1
The Republicans moved so much to the end of the table that they now are in risk of falling off the table or they are so heavy that the hole table is turning.

About the Inflation Argument - The Stimulus checks are not new money pumped into the system. It's money the tax-payer payed into the system and are now just payed out again. See it as a payout from a long-term investment-plan. It's your money you get back nothing more, not new money which wasn't there before. The money payed out is also not available for the government to spend somewhere else. So the hole system has not become "havier" so to speak. And if it helps prevents that some people go hungry, ill, bankcrupt, homeless and preserves the status quo a little while longer it does more good than bad for the economy in the future. This is the very thing people tend to forget. The 400.000 excess deaths by Covid Trump could have been prevented will have opportunity costs for the US in the future. Those are people from all age groups now missing from the system. Humanists don't like it very much but it can't be denied that everyone of us is helping the GDP in one way or another. So yes you can place a value on every citizen how much every contributes to society at least on average. And this makes the economic damage of dead people calculateable. A sell for one is a purchase for another. And now 550.000 potential cpnsumers and workers are gone within 12 months. It WILL have an impact, especially if experts and high-qualified personel is among them. But even if not companies starting up again now need to find new suitable workers and it will disrupt chains and well oil machinery of economics to a degress and create costs. And the simulus helps to mitigate this loss somewhat.
1
I agree. Democracy only works with aware people. Meaning people who are exposed to the truth, the truth and nothing but the truth. Trump happened because media is not reporting the truth but what billionaires want them to think.
1
So what is the correct handling of these types? Argueing don't work. Ignoring maybe? Try to cut them off any political media for a while? Must it be really a war first before those people come to their senses. Germans lost their hold by Hitler over them with the 2nd World War because attrocious things and losses happend. Originally I thought January-06 would be bad enough for people to wake up but apparently it wasn't enough. I can't believe those people would support Trump up to the point to destroy American Democracy and with it the The United States of America as it exists. Do we really need to lose things before we start to value them? Deceny, Integrity, Honesty and Empathy. Those are the values America was founded on and to get away from Britain who had with the monarchy nothing of this. And the Republican party lost almost all of this as well with the exception of Liz Cheney today who at least preserved honesty and integrity on this occasion.
1
A little more humility in public discourse would help as well.
1
We have to do something about the misinformation and lies (one is not intentional the other is). It's eroding trust a core pillar of society. I personally would suggest a new human right a right to truth. Everybody wants it except the liars. It will not end the lying but it makes the liars responsible for their lies and create a legal basis for liability which goes above defamation.
1
The reporter should ask them about the 1400 $ checks they getting and the financial help for their school and small bussiness in their hometown. And ESPECIALLY that Republicans ALL voted against it and they have to thank the Democrats they not voted for to have this.
1
Biden is like the Dark Knight from Monty Python: "It's just a fl3shw0und." Media: "Mister you have no legs anymore." Biden: "Oh ... just a fl3shw0und." Media: "What do you want to do, there is a Dragon named Trump around the corner?" Biden: "As long as I try my goodest all is well." [Sorry for the escaping. The AI is pretty sensitive these days.]
1
Arguably the real war is not a culture war, but the attempt of the Republicans to abolish true Democracy for a fake Democracy where elections "simulate" Democracy - but the outcome is decided by One-Party turning America in a state like Hungary, China, Russia even.
1
Trump introduced those to make fracking financially viable in the US. Without them, they could not compete on the world market. And since Corona changed everything and dropped the prices it might be uncoverable as of now.
1
It's rather new as far as I know. And I don't think it was used on such a large scale ever before. Tens of thousands of clinical tests but not this huge. So new and innovative that scientists hope it can help with other uncureable diseases as well and with cancer.
1
I heard the same in 2019 before Brexit in the UK. Today almost everyone regrets doing it. And the smart guys who knew tried to warn people but were ridiculed and called fearmonger like you just did.
1
What is the point of Carlsons rhetoric here? Do they want to artifically prolong the Pandemic? I thought Republican Voters want normality as soon as possible? And the sooner everyone is vaccinated the sooner normality can come back.
1
@onyxwelborne It couldn't hardly be any simpler to understand. Even Republican Voters should be able to understand this when they would shut off Fox for a while and think themselves instead of allowing Tucker Carlson to tell them what to think.
1
Trumps cabinett reminds me of Deadpool assembling his X-Force.

A Trump-made crisis
1
@jonathanbhatty8592 The crisis happend in front of the wall behind the border with people send away to die. Trump got rid of the problem by an act of cruelty.
1
@jonathanbhatty8592 Trump prevented nothing. He just pushed it out of sight by an act of cruelty.
1
@jonathanbhatty8592 Journalists couldn't go in there under Trump. You can guess why.
1
@jonathanbhatty8592 Trump issued the command to seperate kids and parents not Obama.
1
Trump delivers all of the bad stuff and none of the good stuff ... as expected I might say. But people didn't believed us. Well at least they cannot say they havn't been warned.
1
Noone ever facing 4 years of prison for 34 felonies got away so easy and is rewarded by being made the president of the United States instead. Trump should just shut up and say thank you. Luck is really on his side.
1
The only positive long-term solution is to make her understand. But it's important that the person makes the conclusion not yourself or the person thinks you force your opinion. You done the research, why not sit down with her and showing her how you come to your own conclusion and like that helping her make her own. This way she not only understand how you come to your opinion and that it did not come out of the blue, but it makes it easier to convince her in the long term and it build up trust between you. Now if she denies even this opportunity or concludes differently than you can deal with the fallout and decide further measures. However if this fails you have to consider this will be just the start and there will be more topics with unreasonable disagreement.
1
@joc.1353 There is a board consisting of members of different parts of society, politics and culture they are like an oversight committee for the media setting general directives and appointing and approving managers and holding them to account. Other than that the different public channels are managed like every other bussiness however with the premise of cost-coverage not profit-making. If there are profits for example licensing content they go back into media for investment/expansion or being used to reduce the fee.
1
But they say it costs America so much to help them in the first time. If they need help it means they have no money. If they have no money how can they be responsible for high prices and housing shortage. Do they have money or not?
1
Critical Thinking isn't a Republican or their voters strong suit. If it were they would leave the party immediatly.
1
Yes. But House-committees as chaired (lead) by the majority party. And this is the GOP since 2022. No chance until the Democrats get a majority again.
1
Noone from the moderate majority is supporting criminal acts or violence. This is Trumps domain using it to create anxiety and anger and to divide the people for his political goals.
1
@TheTruthTeller99 I'm not ignorant, especially not as a European looking from afar which provides me with a unique perspective on you guys without a political stake on either side. I watch and listen and I'm not blindly accepting everything someone says not even if it's David Pakman whom I found just recently and watch now and than because he provides a more "grown up" view on politics than most and I can't stand the other channels like Damage Report and similar. If you have something negative about "the left" give your statement, provide a source for your information, arguments, reasoning so people can be sure they are true and understand you. And than people will debate about even them. Noone is excempt from this not even people from your own side. And I like to remind you: One positive doesn't negate one negative.
1
@TheTruthTeller99 I don't know much about this so I will not pick a side on this. My first question would be: How did it come to child trafficing in the first place? Is there something which made it possible to happen in the first place. Maybe an existing law or regulation, underfunding of law enforcement, understaffing? Missing checks? We just see the result/consequence here, but what if Trump is only cleaning up something his government causes in some way or another or even just made it easier to do it and get away with? Noone should get bonus points for cleaning up his own mess.
1
@TheTruthTeller99 Well you explained it and I already said: "Noone should get bonus points for cleaning up your own mess" on that thought I welcome that he tries to fix things he has broken and not just leave them broken, but he has only done the minimum what everyone is expecting of him fixing up his own mess what he is actually there is not make mistakes and make it right and better from the beginning. And what he did not do is explaining why that happened and apologize to the victims that he made it possible in the first place. Therefore absolutely no bonus points from me, but if he continues to fix his mess and maybe makes something right from the start, than I'm willing to credit him bonus points. Look it is a little different. If he would get bonus points for that, he could just continue to break things to fix it later and call himself a hero. Don't you see why nobody could be rewarded for this. They would continue to break things only to fix them. This is like a car mechanic tweaking your car in a way that it breaks down in 1000 miles so you come back to him to pay more.
1
@TheTruthTeller99 You said it to me. Remember I don't know anything about it before you mentioned it.
1
People keep defending Trump because accepting Trump is a criminal would cause a mental breakdown. They sacrificed years to him, donated to him, listened to him, helped him, voted him, defended him. Families broken apart over it, friendships, collegues people you know. And if it turns out all the time they supported a conman, a criminal and someone who destroys America from the inside they will feel a betrayal on a personal level noone ever seen before. I would even go so far that it may make some of them so upset and out of mind that they try to take revenge directly on Trump. And maybe Right-Wing advisors see this too coming and want to prepare a believable story in advance.
1
In reality you can rarly drive faster than the intended limit anyway. 1/4 is speed ristricted and 1/4 is in construction and 1/4 is congestion which forces you down to the intended limit.
1
@martialme84 You create 50% more CO2 while driving with 180 compared to 120 ... only to be 5-10 min earlier at your destination. Ridiculous. And just so you know. I am a Motorbiker and I know what speed is and would sorely miss it too.
1
It's not entirely their fault. They sitting in a trap of lies with no escape. And they are told all outside are liars and not to be trusted.
1
The first question of the lawyer after the statement should have been "So when you find someone good looking you would consider rape?"
1
@thefirstMorganLeFay Let me rephrase that. There is something people prefer more than anxiety and anger: The removal/release of it. It's not quite hope directly but it's leading to it. Therefore Democrats main-goal should be to remove and alleviate anxiety and anger wherever possible. That's why what Manchin and the Corporate Money-Taker in Congress done to make the recon-bill smaller or even bring it to 0 is so badly. It's completly the oppossit and leads to even more anger because politicians (Republicans AND Democrats alike) done this to personally benefit from it. People who are already extremly wealthy and get richer on backs of people on the existential minium.
1
America is not the oldest democracy on the planet. Britain is. Maybe even ancient greece the birthplace of democracy.
1
The only thing to which the exploding real estate price will lead to is rent increases. And that's what is really intended because rents never go down they only go up. Even if the real estate prices fall again which landlord is willing to go down again?
1
Is it still a republic? A republic means "has no King".
1
Why not. 2016 is repeating itself. The DNC says our candidate is perfect and people will never vote Trump.
1
Maybe. But it's not the most important language. This is set by GDP if you like it or not. And I'm sorry, but Spanish speaking GDP in total is not very good.
